- In this video Dan from www.plantabunda... follows up on the video shot 8 days ago titled "Easy Homemade Fertilizer Using Weeds & Brown Sugar | Fermented Plant Juice aka FPJ": • Easy Homemade Fertiliz... . Now that the juice has had time to ferment in the appropriate temperature range it is ready to now strain, use in the garden & store away for future use.

Dan this video is soooo appreciated. Living in developing countries and having this kind of information makes life so much easier since we can't get what most people take for granted. Thank you.
Great job on this 2-part series! I'll be picking up some "intentional weed seeds" and growing some Bocking 14 Comfrey right away. Thanks for the great instructions!
You're the man! I'm wondering what specifically is cultured in FPJ although it is a little less important because all of the microorganisms are indigenous.
Oh. Smart thing about being chlorine conscious. People in my city ask for worm castings and I cringe every time they just dilute it with city water 🍓
Just a note on chloramines. They actually don't off gas like chlorine, you need a carbon filter or chemical treatment to get rid of it. I use an inline carbon filter for my garden hose.
Best fpj video on UA-cam. Pdf link isn't working. 👍🏻💪🏽🌱
Fascinating.. and so easy to do.... it's a bit like making my kombucha tea..
They make temperature controls for the seed mats... then u could keep a constant temperature
Thank you very much for the information brother, God Bless
Thanks for the view and knowledge, blessings back
If I were to test the efficacy of this fertiliser, I will conduct an experiment with two relatively equivalent plant and use this to one of the plant and the other I’ll just use plain rainwater. And then observe and compare the difference if there is.
And did you do it yourself? What was the result?
FPJ isn't a fertilizer
@@kobyguye What is it then?
@@kobyguye anything with nutrients is a fertilizer..urine is one as well!
@@naleenidas8444 it's supposed to be a biostimulant and probiotic
Neat! where can I get those glass containers? or do they have a specific name? Love the lip to create a better seal. thanks!
Is that 2 TBS to 5 gallons with every organic nutrients you make I just made cantaloupe and brown sugar mix and don't know how much to use in 50 gallons of water
I'm just throwing this out there but do you think that mold is bad since it came from outside and from your area? I believe it's good mold like I harvest from under old trees (leaf mold). Just a thought
I appreciate the video thanks alot
I have read that Vitamin C neutralizes chloramines. Do you have any experience using Vitamin C? It needs to contact the chloramines for 4 minutes to be effective.
So... What does FPJ do for the plants we apply to. Is it primarily for macro/micro nutrients? Or is the main benefit in the microbes?
Hi.
Man am getting confused with all the additives one kan self make and use sucsesfully. When to use what. Fish emulsion compost tea omh fpj. How about a video that advises starters like me on how to combine or not all of these. Peace from RSA.
I use fish emulsion weekly in my compost tea for my plants. I added lactobacillus in it as well from making cheese/yogurt. Maybe some things can be used more often but thats what i do.
Great video as usual! when you store your FPJ with brown sugar, do you keep it in the fridge?
You do for lacto acid bacteria when mixed same proportion so id assume so as well. Otherwise. It would likely go bad.
@@dana102083 thank you!
Thank you for information video. Hi, can I make fertilizer (liquid or powder form) from Sunn Hemp Sesbania & Gliricidia leaves. Some of the plants are native to India. I am into organic fertilizer making. Planning to making high concentration - pure extract of the leaves for further use. Please update

If I dont use it all at once, is it possible to make it shelf stable like LAB?
Can you do this with fruit too? Or are greens best?
Could you not use the mold? Looks like healthy mold, but I'm only guessing
How long do you recommend keeping the plastic bag with water on? Just for a day or until you drain?
what happenned to the water filled clear plastic bag that covered/smothered the mixture at the end of Video 1 ?
Great video and thanks. Question: Why do you have to use glass for long term storage?
I reckon he doesn’t have a reason. I’ve seen ppl in India storing a similar molasses based ferment in plastic coke bottles
@johhnyglaze1 Light degrades it. Master cho recommends Uv blocking glass or HDPE plastic bottles. Just because they use coke bottles in India doesn’t mean you should too, they might not have access to those things.
Subscribed for life!!!!!
white fuzzy beutiful healthy mycellium! good for plants
but unwanted on a properly made FPJ. This is bad info.
Can i use fig plant leafs
If I did the same thing and used molasses should I use molasses or brown sugar if I’m storing it
molasses will not make FPJ
AWESOME - thanks for all of your videos! Did you add 3 Tablespoons of the FPJ to one five gallon bucket of water? Right?
500 to 1? Feel like the ratio should be more like 5 to 1
@@seanieizcool 1:500 and never used alone, at least with BRV/ACV/other living vinegar @ 1:500
Hello Can, What do you do with the leftover Fake?
Great info man! @Tricky-D Labs was here... #GrowersLove
Can we use aloe vera for FPJ?
I make an Aloe FPJ and use it for germination soak, cloning solution, and foliar spray. The answer is yes!
thank you
Do you notice a difference when using this?
hi mate love the videos! was wondering is this stuff edible for humans/animals ? I read kimchi is great for digestion and is this anything like that?
This is specifically for plants. I would not let people eat this; animals maybe, but if you watched the video, you'll remember that it's mostly just plant matter and sugar.
great tip thanks
Can you throw the cake in compost pile?
Indeed!
@@plantabundance could you not use the cake, maybe dried as the catalyst for bokashi composting?
@@MeganCarroll-TheKarmaProject what if the other molds take over in an anaerobic environment? Hmm
Nice video could u show the results of using this application. What about ants they love molasses
KNF doesnt use molasses
@@kobyguye what item they use
@@kobyguye the video mentioned brown sugar..ants loved it
Part3?
thank you for posting this! I have some kind of succulent ground cover growing everywhere, can i use that? thanks in advance
If it is something that grows strong and well in your yard or garden then it possesses all great properties that can be used for FPJ. I would look at other videos for a better process for making FPJ. Plant Abundance is an amazing channel, but I think he missed the mark with this video.
What happens if bugs get in it
You sale that plant fertilizer ?
Where is the first video..
Hello Dan, I have gone thru the steps up to the water in the bag. It's been 2 days in my heated garage, and I just snuck a peek by lifting the bag and there were some bubbles but no white mould on top. Does that develop later after the breathable seal goes on? Thanks Dan, hope you have a great day!
you dont want to seal it with a bag, it should be a breathable lid. you don't want any growth on top. This is bad information regarding FPJ and the KNF practices
Do you use Dark brown sugar or regular brown sugar?
either way
does putting it in the fridge harm it?
No. It can be part of the strategy if you have the room. Putting it in the fridge will stop the fpj from continually fermenting. It should last quite some time refrigerated.
are there any weeds to avoid useing to make this ?
Courtney Hotchkiss Great question!
Weed s work great, especially vigorous weeds. Different plants give u different imputs.
anything toxic
I wouldn’t use poison ivy, or anything like it.
Do you have to use sugar?
yes. its for the osmotic pressure.
My question: can you use just ordinary white sugar? Brown sugar is not very widely available in Italy - it just isn't part of Italian cooking at all and I don't think it's manufactured here, it's considered an exotic and foreign luxury product. So there's no way at all to buy it in anything like this quantity. White sugar I can get.
If you can get molasses you can mix with the white sugar to make brown sugar.
@@kamaliancirranoush1916 If I had some eggs I could have ham and eggs if I had some ham.
(No, you can't get molasses here either. If you can get molasses you can probably get brown sugar, because you live in a country where you can get the biproducts of the sugar refining industry.)
@@hilarywhite2953 uh ok. Just trying to help, my mistake.
That looks more like FPE
Chloramine doesn't off gas, very hard bond to break without using ammonia is my understanding.
If the water is left out in the open, chloramine can be degraded by UV from the sun.
Humic acid breaks chloramine bond.
Use a fish tank bubbler in the water to be used on plants.
Hello! Can you help me with the dilution of the combination of FPJ, FFJ, and Fish amino acid?
Why brown sugar and not any sugar?
less expensive i think
Molasses in brown sugar contains minerals
Very inspiring video. Hello! I am also uploading agri-related vlogs. Godbless.
put more sugar on top next time
Chloramine cannot off gas but chlorine can!
Chloramines do off gas, just it would take weeks for it to do so, not days. Ideally it would need to be exposed to sunlight. Is it practical? Not really. But offgassing does happen.
“It’s 69 degrees”

Fpj has got to be extremely deluded. I mean a couple of tablespoons in a large bucket. Probably it's the small amount of sugar that's giving the plant and mychelium speed. Iron-fpj from let's say parsley in that deluded form can't mean much? Not dissing rather arguing. Cheers
here in my country we use 1tbsp fpj :1liter water or 2:1 for spray .
