Hip hop's untouchable Godfather. Thr Godfather has fed the musical generations for decades. Untouchable! ❤
I love how it’s an overlooked fact that James Brown invented swagger! 🔥🔥🔥🔥, his presence says it all. Look at the fit, the hair, jewelry, Mr. Brown stood on his business didn’t he!
Nice tailor made suit 👌
The Legend, that is Mr JB! 👍
I love how he forgets the words but just grooves on 😂😂
I don't know what you heard?but James didn't forget the words to his song.
Listen around 1.34 and 2.58 gets a bit mixed up but he’s still great and it was a relatively new song.
He also never sang live the same as on record.
I played this song in high school when I was 16 years old 🤜🏾🤛🏽
He was 40 yrs old here 😂😂😂😂 and bust out with a funky robot GAHT DAM
Out of all the dance moves I’ve seen James do,I’ve never seen him do the robot. That just blew my mind
Also on one of his soul train episodes.
I can tell by his body movement and rhythmic pattern in his singing he was going into that mustache era
Loved the period from 72-75 at his funkiest with Fred and the JBS
The james brown mustache period was from 1974-1979
@@poody_Smoove994 I know that but the payback album was created in 73. This is when the development of the mustache era style of singing and rhythmic pattern and music was starting to show.
Andre Dawkins yes as on the payback album he doesn’t have a moustache!!
And he get rid of it in 78
poody smooth 1978. By 1979 it was off.
You better know it! Funky like hell!
So smart So Sharp....
Yes Lawd!!!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 GET DOWN!!!! 🤘🏽
This is great
Damn, love itya❤
Got damnit!!!!
You Better Know It: I bet James had his suit tailor made for this appearance. Or he just left a soul-saving revival.
i have this dvd performance and interview james brown full tv show on johnny carson show 1973
James did a dance called the robot.
Bravo
.. So sad that the Band isn't caught on camera.... :-(
Was he playing with his JB's or was it the Johny Carson band?
@@Thinksamuel It sounded like the JB‘s! That horn only could’ve been from Fred Wesley
Love it
He wore a suit and tie
on the Johnny Carson
show.
James Brown Essência da música o peso do som Pai da matéria.
Brilliant
JB and J.C.'s Big Band murdered this "Slaughter's Big Rip Off" blaxploitation movie soundtrack cut.
Yessssssssssss, they did
And The J.C.'s were live and hiding just behind the curtain, no doubt.@@user-td1hp6zx8g
I'll bet Doc Severinsen and the orchestra did the musical stylings.
You can hear some lackluster in the groove… kinda supermarket funk. I think there’s some of JB’s band and the Doc Severinson orchestra playing.
@@JPVillalobos27 It's clear that either John "Jabo" Starks or Clyde Stubblefield should've laid down the drums instead for this, but they have Ed Shaughnessy.
@@jnadle1 Exactly! I was trying to be nice about it. Ed was a great swing drummer but playing funk or a downhome shuffle is a feel, a cultural thing.
💪 💪 💪 💪 🔥
Can u get him on the jhonny carson in the 1960s
Bruhhh where the hell you get this from!
It's from a DVD called "The Tonight Show Johnny Carson - The Vault Series 6, which you can find dirt cheap on eBay , also features Ali & Norton.
@@SoulOnTopJB anymore footage of James Brown on the dvd?
Do you have the full ABC concert from 1974?
If only anyone could get their hands on the Kinshasa, Zaire concert
Who can agree that the Get on up biopic was done poorly??
The movie was awful especially costumes. Mr Brown never wore tennis shoes.
Vince Washington yes and his pants were to baggy for the TAMI show. Also his hairstyles were not right for the year shown, and Maceo wasn’t fat and where was Fred?
@@francisrobbins1499 if you can check my JB impression during the 1971 era on my channel I have two parts. Tell me what you think
@@vincewashington3694 They had James in them flat church shoes. I noticed that the last time I watched it. A film on his life definitely needs to be redone and not on the caricature tip either but showing the real him and his impact on music. The way Get On Up started in the beginning of the film u can tell how it was gonna be right after. The same way the Miles Davis ‘Miles Ahead’ film was. Not a good film whatsoever! Biopics been droppin’ the ball!!
😳
