How has this been running now that you've had it for about a year? Any issues? I watched both part 1 & 2 and have a mil spec upper and lower build planned for when it gets here.
I also built around the CMMG bolt and barrel 8'' stuffed in a Gibbz Side Charger Upper. I also use the CMMG RIPSTOCK system. the lower is a ZR- Tactical with a Velocity trigger. I use a Holosun 510 Green Dot for my sights.
I always thought you had to use an upper such as Aero’s XL upper or .458 that has the slightly larger milled out ejection port? It seems to be functioning just fine with your M4E1 upper though. Sick gun man!
I have a similar build going but with the Aero EPC lower/upper. The measurement are extremely helpful since I have the 5" barrel and KVP XL Slim comp. I want the same S-One handguard but they are out of stock and waiting to order. Everything else is I have or is one the way. Great video, thank you.
@@ThinLineDefenseCo extremely but Aero is working overtime to get more made. I live close enough to drive over to them. Too bad I can't go pick one up. 😂
Hey, you're using a CMMG bcg and barrel in an aero EPC-9 upper? any issues? i would like to use a M4E1 lower with the EPC-9 upper and CMMG guts but have no idea if they will all play nice together.
How has this run as far as ejection/extraction goes? I have a nearly identical build I'm in the middle of with the same 5.5" CMMG BCG/Barrel and Aero M4E1 receiver set, but I have heard others that built around the CMMG BCG run into issues with the size of the ejection port and failing to extract/eject without enlarging the port. Yours seems to be running flawlessly, so I'm hoping to have the same luck!
The s-one is a team favorite. It not only chops weight but it also gives you a clean c-clamp grip. It does make mounting top pads like a PEC or flashlight touch pad challenging. The R-one would be our recommendation in those cases. -Walsh
Come join our live chat on Thursday to ask but Joe loved it so much that it's still his favorite gun to talk about. He even convinced all the other team members to build one....I probably should too! -Walsh
I love this build and have been looking for something to do as my first build. I think this is it. Thank you very much for all the links. Was wondering if you have an assembly video for this??.. I don't even know if UA-cam will allow that 🤔. I specifically wanted the radial delay blow back. definitely out of my budget range though for a Cmmg Banshee at this time. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
@@reddioblo absolutely! It's a great great build though. It's simple to assemble too as the bcg and barrel are that combo that makes the delayed blow back happen.

JL Billet Ambi 5.56 Lower: Epc-9 LPK, HiperFire PDI-RG Trying to decide if mag conversions are the best way to go and doing some research on these CMMG 9 ARCs, but am realizing now that I would need that CMMG Radial BCG for those to work so I'm just exploring options.
Apparently it has to be the m4e1 upper and lower the 9mm version(epc-9) won’t work unless you dremel it and do a lot of other stuff to it sadly I might make one of these to save 400$ on not buying a full Cmmg banshee and just buy a Cmmg banshee in 10mm cause idk a cheaper way to make a Cmmg 10mm bcg in a cheaper upper and lower
This build will coast 1000$ before shipping on all the items I priced it im wondering if I should just buy a Cmmg banshee but thinking I want 10mm Idk i don’t think I’ll be happy with any decision at this point lol
I’ve built 2 of aero’s epc 9mm rifles in the last 6 mo. All aero but 1 was with a 11” Faxon barrel and bolt. Other was ballistic advantage barrel & bolt 11” as well. My question is why would u build all aero and not use the epc upper/lower so all u needed was Glock mags instead of converting 223 mags. Just wondering is all. And nice pistol u have there. Aero makes great stuff.
the reason for this is because the cmmg bolt and barrel uses delayed blow back. It significantly reduces recoil... like a ton. Also we like using pmags because it's familiar and we have hundreds... just change the internals and you have the same ergonomics and muscle memory. -Walsh
I don’t think the Cmmg bcg works with the aero epc-9 lower without dremeling the upper receiver and file the lower metal parts plus removing pieces and other stuff a lot of work and you can’t break stuff easily and it’s just a hastle
@@Bobshell-tw8xy yeah it only works with the 9mm Cmmg bcg and barrel and aero m4el upper preferably in the XL(bigger ejection port) and m4e1 lower with the mag inserts that convert your pmag to 9mm that’s the only setup I know of
@@ThinLineDefenseCo I have all the parts except for the Barrel and the bolt. CMMG told me yesterday that I'm looking at 25-30 week lead time. I question what the people at the manufacturing plant are doing? You cant tell me that there are millions and millions of people wanting this build.
The one included with the aero s-one handguard. They include it. As always we at TLD recommend using a certified gun smith for all weapon builds and modifications.
I'm not sure why anyone would build this gun instead of buying the 9mm banshee. With the banshee you get a lighter gun, it uses Glock magazines, and it's probably cheaper too.
The pre-built banshee is about twice the cost. If you have basic hands on skills you can save yourself serious cash. Most people don't though so...we get it. Also, it's much preferred to adapt pmags into the setup as our belts, carriers, placards, and bags are already set up for pmags. Swapping them all over to glock mags would make the platform far less versatile....and having to now buy glock mags...while sitting on hundreds of pmags. It would just be a dumb maneuver for us. The added weight is negligible....at best.... for the ability to then use the same ar15 platform controls and ergonomics. You don't have to relearn a new platform. I get how you want your setup to be the superior choice, but it's RARELY about one over the other. Just trade offs that you're willing to make for something else. I'd probably buy a banshee if I did it though. Mostly because I'm lazy though.... -Walsh

The hand guard is listed as 7.3" so your measurement is correct. Thanks for showing that, it helped a lot.

I think the ejection port just has to be larger than a typical dedicated 9mm upper. A std 5.56 upper seems to be just fine.

Awesome little PCC! What buffer weight are you running with this and is it still running flawlessly?
Still running great and we actually did 5-6 more of these. Standard buffer tube and weight. Zero failures.
It's crazy.

What buffer and spring are you running? Did you use any weights on the bolt?
standard ar buffer tube and weight. we tried to use as many standard parts as possible.
Any update on reliability?
If I was building a pcc this would be it.
Works perfectly... We even made 4-5 more of the same one since then. It's fantastic
What buffer and buffer spring did you use for your 5” barrel; I’ll probably run a 8 but I’m sure it won’t differ too much from what you use.
just standard ar buffer spring and weight. Nothing magical.
we have 3 of these and they're all setup with standard stuff.

Been waiting since October 19th for this BCG Barrel combo.
Same....we ordered a second set for a customer build and we're still waiting.
