Coaster Parody: Magnum XL-200 at Cedar Point

- Опубліковано 5 жов 2024
- Magnum is a legend among coasters, for being a groundbreaking ride when it first opened! Many considered it the best ride in the world, and it is still ranked high in the minds of many. But not even the most famous of roller coasters are immune to Coaster Parodies!

Every park needs B&M.
EVERY park.
Except for Great Adventure
True I guess
Amen, Canada's Wonderland, My home park is missing some B&Ms, we already have a B&M Hyper and Giga but we need an Invert, a wing, and a Floorless
Except Disney, they only get verkomas
Channel Dispatch Tell that to Disneyland.
The real story
Cedar Point:Hey Arrow Dynamics can you help out with are new coaster.
Arrow Dynamics:Well how tall is it.
Cedar Point: 187 feet.
Arrow Dynamics:Nah make that 191 feet
Cedar Point:No No make it 199 feet
Arrow Dynamics:Are you thinking what I'm thinking.
Cedar Point:Oh heck yeah.
Both:Over 200 feet, jinx.
Cedar Point:Arrow Dynamics you are a genius.
Intamin: Did I hear 200 ft?
Cedar Point: Uhh, yeah, what do you want?"
Intamin: You should make it 256 ft
Cedar Point: 259 ft.
Arrow: What about me, guys?
Cedar Point: Idk, I guess. Make a 4D coaster or something.
Intamin: Get ready for this: 300 ft.
Cedar Point: Oh, that would be awesome, but we should also make something even taller.
Intamin: 350?
Cedar Point: Even higher.
Intamin: 396?
Cedar Point: 420.
I wouldn't say Magnum XL-200 doesn't have a theme. Based on the appearance of the trains, I'd argue it's themed after a generic high-speed rail system.
I think it was themed to the future of roller coasters or the future in general, Like "Coasters that go over 200ft?, THE FUTURE IS HERE"
It was themed to future, like raptor, millennium force, and Gemini.
I always thought they were space shuttles or rockets or space craft of some kind. It’s definitely not a strong enough theme to even name.
It has a theme, just no theming

Soooo people aren’t aloud to like rides? Or like a park?
LMAO
@@mh4292 you cant take a joke lol
I started laughing when he said "Ride him now" :D
B&M barely existed in 1989. Therefore, any B&M jokes are simply invalid in this parody. Magnum was probably being planned before B&M started, and B&M's first hyper wasn't until 1999 (or 98).
Yea thats right
Bruh it was a joke
Hi captain buzzkill.
+Tommy Carr It is not like these parodies should be taken seriously anyway
+Tommy Carr You just murdered it. It was a joke.
Magnum is the most underrated coaster on the planet.
Maximus MC totally agree
Maximus GXL *Overrated
Thank you
Overrated actually. People always talk about how good it is and the airtime is good I will say that, but all I could focus on was my legs banging up against the lap bars and it hurt.
YES its my 3rd or 4th fav at cp behind Steve and Maverick and maybe MF
Savannah has the best answer for any coaster related question...'should have got a B&M'
Except for Intrimidator at Carowinds...'shouldnt have gotten a B&M'
@@Lettuce2.oh ya what bout fury 325?
@@alexisramseur2969 Fury was a good B&M.
@@Lettuce2. exactly sorry lol carowinds is my home park
I ride the magic seat every time, row 3 of car 1, and I absolutely love it
Google "Magnum XL" without the 200
+Ben French so this coaster is themed to condoms???
+GreenDragonPro15 _ exactly
do you have hangoutz? cuz really that comment makes me love you even more XD
+Coaster Nation I don't know what those are
Ben French yes when i rode this everyone made dirty jokes xD
B&M Girl is my favorite! I laugh ever time, relevent or not!
All the Cedar Point parodies ranked from Best to Worst IMO
1. (BEST) Mean Streak
2. Millennium Force
3. Top Thrill Dragster
4. This
5. Gatekeeper
6. Rougarou
I'll agree with that!
+Coaster Studios cedar copy cat six flags because of shockwave and shockwave is the original
I would agree but maverick isn't on and mean streak well is mean streak so
+Trey LaPorte How can he make fun of Maverick?!?!?
Best : This
2. Mean Streak
3. TTD
4. Rougarou
5. MF
6. Gatekeeper
Magnum really is like the steel Beast. Famous for once breaking records in the past, but now known for being kinda janky and weird, but in a sorta memorable way.
first rollercoaster that makes you sleep on the lift hill 😂😂😂 i like slow lift hills it gets yo aniexty pumping and the drop is unexpected
yeah but the effect wears off if its too slow, like Shockwave/Sky Rider/King Kobra all removed TOGO stand-ups from three Kings Entertainment parks, Kings Dominion, Kings Island and Canada's Wonderland.
slow lift hills do give you anxiety, but if it's TOO SLOW you'll get distracted over what ride you're going on next or how much nasty sweat is on your seat from the person before you ....lmao:(
Miku Hat Gaming At least Magnums has a great view
1:38 Okay. The knives in the dishwasher part got me good.
I really don't get why everybody hates Magnum so much?!?!?!?!?
Ikr
+CanadaCoasterFan fanboyism (talking about Coaster Studios not Cedar Point)
its my favorite its a must when i go cedar point a long with the wicked twister
Well, I got whiplash from it, so I don't really like it.
Ikr it barely hurt
Fun Fact: B&M was first founded in 1988 and built its first coaster 2 years after Magnum was built, so can't really use the "should've got a B&M" line when B&M was just an infant company at the time.
I caught that reference at the end ;)
When I went in 2016, Magnum was probably my 5th favorite out of the 11 coasters I went on while I was there. (Blue Streak, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, and the ones for little kids are the ones I didn’t ride). I don’t mind bumpiness as long as it isn’t as bumpy as Mean Streak was (probably the reason I have occasional back pain).
3:31
“Should’ve gotten a B&M”
“Ya we know just go away or something!”
Lol 😂
I like Mangum because it has this weird nostalgia that makes you realize how golden 80's where
3:35 Man, the older you get the more you really appreciate these Parodies humor. This right here is gold! 😂
this is my favorite rollercoaster at cedar point i been on all of them but i still like the magnum cuz of the good airtime i recommend the 9th or 10th row for max airtime
Magnum was my first landmark credit, my 50th coaster. I have now ridden 285 coasters. I view Magnum in high reguards, still considering it to be at least in Cedar Point's "big 3" even in the Steel Vengence era. While I do think it would benefit from the S&S "clamshell knockoff" (as seen on Steel Curtain) for the sake of its popularity, I would never want to see Magnum replaced.
"Man, I'm trying to rob ya! You're supposed to give in!" lol
Blue Streak is named after, or themed to the local high school, the Sandusky Blue Streaks
I thought it was the other way around
No the HS was called the Blue Streaks way before 64.
my train on magnum was really preverted. xD ppl yelling "wow this is really long" xD xD
This is reminds me of what my friend does!!! LMAO
ppl did that on the beast at kings island
Rode the magic seat yesterday. It had tons of airtime, buuuuut it was 51 degrees and running real slow. Best experience of Xtra large-200 in 20 years !
B&M wasn't made yet
No, it was.
Yeah but they hadn’t made any coasters and they weren’t going to until Six Flags forced them to build Iron Wolf but yeah even though B&M did exist at the time they was no where near ready enough to build a coaster on the scale of Magnum
Top 10 favorite parodies of yours
10. Millenium Force
9. Rougarou
8. Shockwave
7. Super loop
6. This
5. Anaconda
4. Dragster
3. Mean streak
2. Vekoma SLC
1. Desert storm
That "ride him now" bit at the end was gold.
You got it on a bad day. When it's running good, it's great.
Look pal, this was built in 89 and I doubt B&M was big back then. This coaster was HAND CRAFTED. Not machine built like most coaster. Show some respect to this thing!
good times on the magnum my friend, it is a pretty respectable coaster. Also i love its design even though others dont :p
I usually sleep in ALMOST EVERY ARROW COASTER
B&M was still a smaller company when Magnum XL 200 was built, since B&m was started in 1988 and Magnum being built in 1989.
Oh please come to the UK and parody the 2½ coasters that we have
Randy West Love ❤ and Rode Magnum XL-200 EST. 1989 at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio USA 🇺🇲.
Coaster Studios you said Blue streak doesn't have a theme, well its themed to The Sandusky blue streaks
I rode this one like 10 times and had a blast! Just make sure to get the middle of one of the cars where there is not a wheel under you
Magnum has some sort of riding through space theme idk the tunnels with lights are cool. But I only love the ride because it hurts so much and my friends and I always laugh about it lmao
You should have made fun of that slow break at the end.
"After the tunnels and the hills embrace for the last element...wait...there's more! It's going slow! Why is it doing that!? Well, I'm not Cedar Point i'm not telling them how to bulid no coasters."
magnum is one of those rides that you hate while riding it but it's fun when it's over 😂
Oh that is awesome. But all that laughing made my Magnum spine rattle and XL shattered knee hurt.
It's not even that bumpy . Every time I've ridden magnum it was smooth and an awesome ride
I know, right!?!?!?
It is jerky for a steel coaster, but just hit the MS before hand n you won't even notice
+Bryce Nickerson Have you been in the front? It has not aged well.
+Red88Rex I have
it depends on where you sit on which train and who else is in the car
the last car on one of the trains in the middle row with 5 other heavy people will be insanely bumpy
first row last car nobody else in the car is GREAT
Wouldn't B&M be like... 1 years old, and would have no coasters. Lol... if this would be built by B&M it would be it's first coaster.
+imPsychopathic it would also have been a shity b&m stand-up which they got anyways. (mantis was the best b&m standup I've been on however)
B&M didn't even exist as a company in 1989. It was part of Intamin. And their first hyper didn't open until around ten years later.
1988 is when it was a company. but I'm agreeing with you. :P
Why can’t people take a joke?
Magnum XL-200 may be a bumpy ride, but it's still a good ride.
I actually like it I rode it 2 days ago and it wasn’t that bad
And it was my first hyper
Yeah, I really love Magnum. It’s tough to marathon though.
0:52 Uhh fyi, B&M didn't have the same status that Arrow Dynamics had when this ride opened. Their first ride was built in 1992. Magnum XL-200 came out in 1989.
If you know how to ride Magnum, it's excellent. The trick is to lightly tighten the lap bars as possible. Don't slam it down like you would on other coasters.
I agree. AlsoI know this is all a joke but I don't think you can say they should have gotten a b&m when they barely started the company when this ride was built.
I've ridden it on two different days (at different times of year) and I don't get why people call it rough. Dare I say, I got a couple bumps at the top, and the rest was smooth. You don't like the restraints on Magnum? Don't even bother with Mine Ride. Magnum is fine, it's Mine Ride, Corkscrew, and Mean Streak you've gota watch out for.
tf you mean lightly tighten?
CedarPointRocks625 YES THIS.
@@sittingturtleduck dont staple your lapbar
Hey Coaster Studios. Just went to knots berry farm today! It was awesome, All the rides were running great today. Especially the forceful Montezuma's Revenge, Silver Bullet, and Xcelerator
Omg magic magnum xxl
Mateo Jara or magic mike xxl ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
My favorite quote of all time at 0:50 and 3:30
Loudest lift hill? That got beat by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney World! My ears were ringing on that thing! Also, it really doesn't help that it starts out indoors...
The tunnels are the loudest part, my ears still hurt
ikr!! the tunnels make you deaf
Not to mention that the tunnels make you deaf
This is the most accurate thing I have ever heard. I rode the middle, and the restraints killed me on the third airtime hill. It is Torture.
2:17 That actually happened
even after going to cedar point around 60 times, you still will never find the air time hill to not be painful
I am so exited to ride magnum When I go to cedar point i'm gonna moonwalk to magnum xl 200
Magic Magnum XXL ride him now!!!!! wtf lol
I have never rode this ride but it looks amazing
The first coaster to be built by B&M was vortex at California's great America
+Alec Stebick WRONG! It was Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America.
Steel vengeance has to win the loudest lift hill because when you are waiting in line you can’t here anything
Smh. To all the kids..
This coaster was built before you were born! Anyone asking "why couldn't why build a B&M?" Has no idea what they're talking about. Funny, but kinda surprised from a channel that should know this stuff.
Josh Hughes it’s a joke.
I like the coaster I ride to be a little bumpy so it can throw me around more. And make a non intense ride "more intense".
Magnum’s loads of fun tbh
Here's a tip to keep your thighs from slamming into the lapbar during the bunny hills. First, tighten the seatbelt as much as possible. 2. Hold on to the lapbar with your palms towards the sky, your hand will be a cushion between your thighs and the bar.
Bandit started the coaster wars
Magnum is my favorite rollercoaster. Ride it in the back seat and absolutely it's bonkers.
Magnum xl-200 is themed to itself. Magnum means “large” in Latin. The theming is the height. 😏
Magnum XL
Yum, love meself a Magnum.
I usually agree with the “should have gotten a B&M” comment, but Magnum was built in 1988 and opened in 1989. Didn’t B&M’s first coaster open in 90??
Yes, but B&M was founded in 1988.
I cracked my neck on this today😂😂
Omg my shoulder popped in and out of socket while I rode this
uh huh sure
I used to hate it. Now I love it.
magic magnum XD that was too funny
If Magnum XL200 gets removed, I call getting one of their cars.
I think Morgan should come in and redo this coaster
yep
then they will call it "Magnum's Revenge"
Ever Free Gaming or magnum restored
yeah that's original now its chance rides morgan went bankrupt like arrow did
lmaooooo
Batman The Ride inverted parody would be hilarious.
you haven't felt bumpy until you have ridden the corkscrew at playland vancouver
This was my first roller coaster x-x
you need to choose a better first coaster, that ride will give you a bad outlook on coasters, nice profile pic BTW
I was dragged into it by my dad because it was the closest one to the entrance
You should have done Intamin in the robbery scene. “One day I’ll build coasters 200 feet taller than yours!”
Did B&M even manufacture hypers when this was built? This was, after all, the first "hyper" (that is, over 200ft).
Man, I had a very good memory of this being my first 200 ft rollarcoater, AND RUINED XD
You honestly can say this coaster is rough, but it is still a great ride!
That was so enjoyable
B&M did make a coaster that is 32 feet taller and a coaster that is 125 feet taller
Coasterstudiosishere
Bruh no. B&m hypers are weak imo. Magnum is my most ridden at CP and I've really gotten to appreciate it
sir i found this video to be wrong Magnum is AMAZING lol
Great parody as usual!
I rode this ride recently and i actualy almost got knocked out i was going down the first drop and i guess it hit a bump and my head cocked back and i hot it on the back of the seat and by the way if u r wondering i am only 5ft1in tall so thats how my head got low enough to hit the back
B&M didn't exist before the 1990's. If Arrow hadn't come around, it's likely that B&M and Intamin wouldn't exist, since Arrow invented the Steel Coaster
Magnum really isn't that rough. In fact was pretty damn smooth this season. In 2011 and 2013 is was quite rough, but I found many coasters at CP to be much rougher like Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Cedar Creek, Gemini, and Corkscrew (and Rougarou when it was Mantis). I just don't find it that bad.
This can't be the worlds bumpiest coaster. Arrow only built this ride because b&m didn't exist yet
I was riding second row magnum and the guy in the front row asked us for napkins cause he pooped his pants😂
Dude I love Magnum X L2 100 why did everybody hated so much?
Since when does everybody hate it?
I love Excalibur at valley fair, so I think I'll like magnum.
Idk, I think The Beast was the first coaster to have you fall asleep on the lift hill.
“Magic magnum xxxl ride him now at cedar point”😂😂😂😂😂
Idk if a B&m would be better. Id take slightly painful but bearable ejector over weak floater
Magnum is very good, I love it. It’s a nice time-filler because the line is usually shorter. It’s usually not painful, but one time it was. Only once tho.
