Love conifers with Japanese maples. Pinus ‘Sea Urchins’ have been standouts in my garden. Everyone pets them because they are soft. I also love C. ‘Baby Blue Ice.’ The color is wonderful, especially in winter when color in the garden is at a premium. My husband is no longer surprised when your boxes appear at our house.
This was a great conifer focused podcast! Love to hear you're going to add more Pinus thunbergii! Please also consider offering Pinus densiflora on Pinus thunbergii rootstock.
I love the color of your number 1 pick but hate the shape! I had 5 of these bought them very small and I can’t say enough of the color it’s so beautiful! I live in PNW I don’t like the look of a cactus in a Asian style garden

Lots in the works!
Thank y'all for including the zones with the plants. Great job!
Our pleasure!
Yes please much more conifer content.
Lots more to come! Tomorrow even
Fascinating list! Would never have guessed the top 3 though and no Gold Coin!?
It is many years for sure
love it keep on making
Will do!
Keep doing the conifer videos
Top 5 tomorrow! Flying back to Buchholz soon just for conifers!
Great stuff guys! One question, what does it mean when something is listed "on firma"?
Very heat tolerant rootstock that helps it go to hotter zones
Will the Blue Atlas Cedar do well in zone 5b? Some say zone 6 and above
One black pine in the top 25?!?! This is madness!! Haha
It is! More pines to come in 2024!
More Kotobuki please
For sure!
Austrian from Austria
What no way
Matt that was a great Dumb and Dumber reference! 😂
Hey someone got it 😂
@@MrMapleShowI started cracking up when I heard you say it.
@@GardeningWithMaples read the comments it’s nothing but people correcting me that Austria and Australia are different places 😂
@@MrMapleShowI know, and that makes it even better. People need to be more cultured and watch the masterpiece that is Dumb and Dumber. 😂
Austria is in Central Europe. Lol. Love the video.
Really? What no way!

Looking like a Christmas tree pines Sylvester’s green penguin
Always makes a great small tree
Pinus nigra is an Austrian pine; it has nothing to do with Australia.
What no way? You must be joking with me
So yours was sarchasm? With a chasm between what was meant and what was heard?@@MrMapleShow
