I’m so glad I’m in my 30’s and I never had the chance to expose my cringe teenage years to the world. Sure, we had MySpace and even UA-cam, but it wasn’t a thing to record yourself like this.
You don't need to be in 30s or above to not post cringe stuff on the internet. You just need to have at least 3.5

As a guitarist who doesn’t like various types of metal, I still appreciate the amount of skill and practice that goes into a vocal scream. Yes some of these are cringe but others are inside jokes to the community
I agree with most of what you've said here, apart from the "some of these are cringe" and "inside jokes". I'd argue that almost all of them are cringe (nth wrong with bein cringe), with a few exceptions ofc, seeing as how all they're doing is a basic fry or mid-false-chord that essentially anyone can do in a few hours of correct practice. And, because of the relative simplicity of the vocals, combined with this new trend of "qUiRkY hOt mEtAl gOtH eMo" stuff, all they're doing is unconsciously drowning out the "talent" and promoting a shortcut way to fame.

I had the misfortune of listening to that song when it first came out. They played it so much on the radio I got to where I turned it off every time I hear it. I can't stand it anymore. You wouldn't imagine how many times that song plays on the radio in 8 to 10 hours.

The subgenres/communities of tiktok is genuinely the least cringey part, the worst thing is that before the algorithm learns what you like, which can take up to a few hours of scrolling, it just assumes you want tiktok dances, couple pranks, thirst traps and "POVs" and it takes some mega fast disliking/skipping of tiktoks in order to prevent your algorithm from getting stuck in that hell
I'm proud to say I have never intentionally, personally watched a tik tok, on tik tok.
Tik-Tok is like willingly ingesting intellectual arsenic.
