Loved mine. Mcgaughys 9 inche lift with king coilovers and rear reservoir shocks from the superlift kit. Cognito upper control arms. C4 rock lights. Recon heads and tails. 37s and 22x12 Arkons. Full audio system with custom console box for a 15” sub. Move front and rear bumpers. Gears, exhaust, intake, headers, cam and a tune. Those were the days. Sold it for a new vehicle at 210,000 miles a few months ago. Never had a single mechanical issue even after the heavy mods and miles.
@@JDLC95 nothing wrong with mixing brands. But the truck does need an alignment and he should let that be known to people who want to tackle it at home. I do lift kits, drop kits. Dont know how I got here, but just reading your title I've got to say, I have nothing but love for Rough Country. Good lifts and good price. Also extremely helpful customer service. Some people get bad experiences but I for one have nothing to complain about
I really appreciate you making this video, I have a '13 Chevy 1500 and have been watching your videos to get ideas. Happy to see the paint touch up as well, planning on swinging by Eastwood to pick up some of that paint.
Ryan!!! I’m a mopar man as well, I have watched u from the beginning of the ram build and I can honestly say ur more entertaining and informative than any car show I’ve ever watched! Much Love brother from ur buddy Joey in east TN
Did the rough country 3.5 lift with the control arms and struts. Rough country's struts were garbage and ended up replacing them with bilstein 5100s in the front and 5160s in the rear. Dear God did it make the ride so much better
i have the 7.5 rough country lift for my 2012 gmc sierra.. thing rides like a dream.. my buddies truck with a BDS suspension rides like a Cadillac sure.. but my lift was only $850 lol pay for what you get lol.. but i highly recommend the new forged upper control arms and the 7.5" lifted strut.. will ride A ton better
You are so incredibly inspirational I love the vids keep doing what you are doing I just got my first truck and I get to watch you do things I want to do to is
The GM suspension from those years and 14-18 are so much better to work on! I’ve done multiple suspension on those trucks and I’ve done the ford and I’ll pick the GM every time!
Little tip. I did auto repair my whole life, get some wipes and clean tour hands and arms before getting in a vehicle you are doing work on! Getting dirt and Grease inside the truck will add to having to clean up time. Other then that nice job
I think it’s funny how at 9:05 he says “Look how 2013 it looks with all the rust.” The only bad rust on my 1996 Chevy is on the top of the cab from the saltwater rain in Nassau Bay Texas.
I have the n3 shocks and they work pretty good. Maybe the older shocks sucked. Yeah I was about to spend a few thousand on a lift when I can get the same lift for half the price. Rough country is for budget minded people that make a awesome product all around
@@34merrell well my n3 shocks sucked i did it a year ago. then 6months later i got tired of the sucky ride and just replaced it fox all the way around. so much stiffer and better
john russo I just put my lift on last month. I guess time will tell but they are stiffer and ride better than stock at the moment. Drove to Gatlinburg and back and it was a smooth ride the whole way.
@@buffalobmf well thanks for the heads up. Just bought a 4.5 xseries for my 01 cherokee and they come with N3’s all around. I just put an n3 steering stabilizer as well but i dont expect the shocks to last long. Was looking into fox just dont have the money right now
This guy talking up this truck but it don't even compare. I just lifted my F-150 which is also a 2013 and it is far superior in every way after watching this. No rust, outboard mounted rear shocks, real disc brakes in the rear instead of 1950 style drums, front hub disconnects so those CV joints that are now tweaked way beyond their operating range aren't going to fail prematurely, a small removable section of the front inner wheel well liner that gives great access to the top of the strut, etc. All I see are cut corners to cheapen the product in this video after all the talk about how great they are.
U removed a 1in rear block, and added a 3in block, so u only lifted the rear 2in higher than it was stock, so u actually didn't lift it 3in all the way around, to do that u would've had to add a 4in block to the rear
Grizz 2 🤨 have you seen his house and driveway lately, he wouldn’t be putting out the badass content all the time if he didn’t make money to cover his spending
Grizz 2 I can confirm this. View count is too low to cover expenses. I have a yt channel with 565k subs and I can say it’s hard in the beginning, I give him props for trying.
Nice I did the same thing to my truck. It is hard to find a good 3 inch lift kit or rather make your own 3 inch lift kit. Which kind of makes me wonder why nobody has designed a 3 inch lift kit. Niche market for your company?
So, my Team Stance guys we’re giving me pointers as I was installing my 9” McGaughys and Cody Banker (offsets garage, project Arkon) told me to cut off my droop stops as they could affect the ride quality. Is that something you’ve done before with bigger lifts Ryan?
Yeah, I didn’t hesitate when Banker told me to, figured he knew what he was talking about. Just noticed Ryan didn’t on this build and was just curious if he would have on a bigger build.
well you got the driveway queen in Lime Green, then you build what I would call the perfect garage truck. that 8 foot box is the key part! and being single cab advantage to haul tires rims and wood. but for real bro what you should build a dirt and trail beast. not about height. but travel suspension. as in a Pre runner. but. you should go in a way to be still a truck with a long bed to be the shop truck. but a diesel, version, it be cool. now lets face the facts here. the Lime Green Queen needs mods. that truck needs a new direction. ever consider a articulated lift kit? something that could be tall and yet be able to drop down for city driving all on a Hydro lift? something you can lower so you can haul things or used the bed? might even consider selling the one you got and the a LONG BED SUPER CAB DODGE. and then we would have a super amazing build to watch. and bud you need a better build space. too bad you are so far away. I would let you use my Garage...
I just got my LfTD. decals in and I loved the little hand written message at the bottom more company's should do that much love

WHY DID YOU NOT PAINT THE BACK??? You just said take the time and clean it up!!!
You inspired me to build my truck!!
Please build it correctly and don’t mix brands or pieces together.

Just put a 7.5 rough country lift with Bilstein shocks on my 2011 Silverado 6.2L and love it. Wouldn’t want to spend a dollar more.
Just revived my order yesterday the heavyweight LFTD Co. black hoodie. Absolutely love it ! Keep up the content.
I’m running the leveled Rough Country struts on my 2019 Ram and they’re smooth as hell. I absolutely love them
If you want to see how it turned out look up ironmanram on IG🤙🏼
great video , thanks for sharing these builds with us it is motivating me to find a truck to build up
next build should be a early 2014 2500-3500 build!! i got one myself but don’t nearly have the platform or audience to show it off too tho!
Those cv axles are gonna be hurting after some miles with those angles
Axles won’t spin if you’re not in 4wd, and idk about these trucks but the angles of a 3” lift on a 15-17 F-150 don’t look bad at all
Joshua Engel I’m pretty sure axels still spin in 2wd unless there are locking hubs
@@savagesenseoutdoors cv axles always spin bc they go through the wheel hubs
I felt attacked when he said “white crew cab super duties going to SEMA” as that’s exactly what I’m taking to SEMA😂

Dude great video man! Love all of them... You make it look so easy to work on trucks... Thanks man!
I did the rough country 3.5 to my 09 it works but for a couple $ more a 4-5 inch is way better on everything softer riding too
My 2015 cummins has rough country N3 have no issues with them! Had zone and they where cheap junk.
You should build one of those for your next project
6" lift and a turbo or 2
I have a 2008 Silverado with this set up. What else would I need to add a 3 inch spacer on top of the leveling strut for 5 inch of lift.
I think it’s funny how at 9:05 he says “Look how 2013 it looks with all the rust.” The only bad rust on my 1996 Chevy is on the top of the cab from the saltwater rain in Nassau Bay Texas.
sounds like me when I say id put that truck on a 6in lift with some 35s, obviously the go to setup
I love how nobody saw her sunbathing at 9:30 in the reflection of the truck 😅😂
2013 truck but it still has rear drums 😳
The tacoma has drums on its 2020 model lol 😆
“2013 Silverado 15 Hunter” 😂😂
Why is rough country so hated. I have it on my Silverado and I don’t have any issues with it.
only had problem wit the shocks. not that they blew out or whatever they just sucks as shocks

Where I’m from everybody runs rough country lifts because we’re too poor to do anything else 😂
Should have got the eibach kit for that year ... I believe it’s a 3 1/2 level too ... shocks springs and all for like 580.00

I think a dully truck for hauling your truck would be really neat
Do the upper control arms have a replaceable ball joint.

What is the long term review of the N3 shocks?
You should really look into building a 3500HD High Country. Like Streed Speeds truck. Sexy truck
One thing I don’t miss from back east is the rust on everything..
Ryan where are you located I would love for you to do my truck 2018 Silverado LT 1500 Gassser
I have an 08 silverado. God am i scared to lift her 6 inches. Just wsnt reliability and gas mileage. Any tips?

That's the right way to do it. I'm not a fan of doing rear blocks, but it's his truck.
Even RCs 6" lift on my Silverado came with blocks in the rear
You putting lifts on for cash? I live like 40 minutes away... do mine! 2019 1500 custom 6” zone or bds 🥳

My buddy want to do this exact same lift on his 13. Any way u could send the part numbers u ordered.

I cut my droop stops because it was necessary to run my King 3.0 Coilovers so I recommend taking them out to help with your angle.

What size tires are those ?????
Hoping to get my rough country lift soon

I’m ready to see a dually build!!
Do a tow rig build!!!!
Green Jeep better be next 😘

Looks good ryan
Should have driven it through the rough streets of Newburg Heights to get the full off road effect
What do u want to sell the purple one for
I am feeling that the new build is a duramax dually
