    The body panels started in 1979. Why does “Fox body” start in 1986?
    I had a 1985 GT which was the last year for the Holley carb. Does that have something to do with it?

      This has nothing to do with body panels. this is for factory EFI 5.0 cars. The Mustang didn't get factory multiport fuel injection for the 5.0 V8 until 1986, NOT 1979. Might help if you actually watched the video. This isn't meant to be a documentary on the Fox body Mustang.

      We have not tested this ECU on the F-150 5.0. You will have to contact MegaSquirt directly for more information when it comes to compatibility: megasquirt.info/

    Can you please tell me the size of the wheels on that car!

    • @latemodelrestoration
      @latemodelrestoration  4 роки тому +1

      Jonathan, that car is running our series 3 wheels, the front is a 265/35R18 on an 18x9 and the rear is a 285/35R18 on an 18x10! Some modifications may need to be done to clear these on a fox. You will need to roll fender lips and remove quad shocks and tail pipe modification may need to be done depending on your setup and you will need an SN95 5 lug conversion and steering rack limiters upfront.

      Both work, and Megasquirt can use both calculation methods. The best part is that you can use just about any maf. I have a newer GT500 maf in a fox body connected to megasquirt in a standard 3" tube that works great. My other megasquirt fox is speed density and also works fine. Just two different means to an end.

      @T Web there's a lot of quality that goes into the system and a lot of people smarter than me know the in and outs. Did Snow performance close up shop when Matt Snow stepped down? Nope.
      The quality is excellent and the system is extremely user friendly and that makes it more popular everyday. If Chris Richards-the owner, steps down, I'm sure the pro m will be around for a long time.
      Order one and find out for yourself 😁 or spend days on end trying to figure out the mega squirt and Holley. I can go from a stock 302 to a blown 408 with absolutely no Dyno or tuner whatsoever.

      Absolutely agree. But with the pro m, you don't have to go searching for countless forums for the information you need.
      If you can follow the directions, you can have your car running and driving very quickly. Usually within the hour.

      1 hour is about what this takes, less if you're good. This video is awesome, and goes into detail and extra steps in the name of helping anyone be able to be successful, but some of those steps are not needed if you know your way around your car. I've never removed the airbox to run the vacuum line for example... though it is tight up in there it's doable. That said, it's hard to make a video that perfectly meets everyone where they are at, and LMR did a great job I think!
