It's truly a shame that Khrome is fan made since he could have been the 10th ninja in the franchise,but there might be hope and faith for Khrome to appear someday.
If somehow they do use him in a game they can also make a gold ninja too since Khrome is silver. It would be cool to see a gold and a silver ninja in MK
Even if he was real, his colors clashes with smoke too much. If they do end up making him real at some point, they should give him a white color scheme.
I mean... ninjas haven't been mere palette swaps since Deadly Alliance. Even Scorpion and Sub-Zero now have very different outfits. I don't think the color itself would be that much of a problem if they decide to make him look vastly different from Smoke.

There's no wind ninja in the series and the existing wind based characters don't use alot of white in their outfits, so a white ninja using wind could stand out. There's multiple characters that use the same elements in the series (fire being the most common) so obviously there's no problem re using elements for multiple characters. Side note, there's no electric based ninja either, I wouldn't recommend white for an electric ninja though because that's too close to Raiden. They could use orange if they ever wanted to go that route though, seems like that would be a good fit.

It used to be a handy way to create a new character with limited assets, but now everyone has a more unique appearance...and that's all for the better. Hell, some characters like Reptile or even Ermac somewhat barely classify as ninjas anymore. The first being a wild beast and the latter being some sort of mummy-mage hybrid. Even Tremor didn't really look all that ninja-like. Meanwhile, only Mileena somewhat look like a kunoishi still. Jade, Kitana and Skarlet don't even look like that anymore either. And sure, fire is prevalent, but quite often it is merely for one or two moves. Only Scorpion and Liu Kang could really be considered "firebenders", as they have many moves and even fatalities using fire. Same goes for ice : sure, both Sub-Zero and Frost uses it, but that's pretty much it and the lore explains it well : she's her student. Simple as that. But it will quickly get redundant if we create a student of Fujin, then one for Raiden and so forth.
Despite Knrome being solely a fan made character created via a painting mistake, it would be so awesome if Khrome got added into the next Mortal Kombat game, seeing how MK11 is coming to an end. I can only imagine the awesome moves and fatalities they’ll put in Khrome’s moves list.
I feel like he would really work... and his "creation" as a mistake in something adopted by fans is extremely fitting given that's how fighters like Ermac, Scarlet, Rain and Hornbuckle became famous. There's something extremely "Mortal Kombat" about that kind of character inception. Granted, the latter of which never actually coming to fruition and Rain was originally made by the devs to purposely mess with people but still. And I always love the idea of more elemental ninjas. The only problem is he'd have a little overlap with Tremor. Since the stone boi also has metal abilities. But I mean, they could simply play that up as a point of contention and rivalry between the two.
In my head canon, he is a creation of Sektors when he was in charge of the Lin Quei. He became an agent of death who not only became self aware but wants to wipe out mankind and then take control of the Lin Quei to try and overtake Earth and other realms. He is a silvery khrome ninja who has alot of Liquidators moves. He's first mission: Take down Sub Zero and take control of the Lin Quei then wipe out mankind
I’m trying to remember, but would an attempt at including a Khrome character run into the legality of someone sending an idea but never getting recognized for it? Someone out there enlighten me, but wouldn’t that be a similar reason why game companies don’t accept unsolicited game ideas?
If we put Khrome into the story I'd love him to be from another realm that doesn't really get alot of love like order, chaos, vampire, or maybe even the dream realm. I don't want him to be from earthrealm, netherrealm, outworld, or edenia. So Khrome is a unique ninja and kharacter. Also if Boon and the other creators want us to love him even further have him be the one in mk12's storyline to kill of Dvora since most mk fans hate her more than anyone in the series
I believe he will become a Canon character in future since Ermac and Skarlet were just made ups and errors in the game but eventually came into the game.

I think to fix his character is by having him be someone that was able to escape from the Cyber Initiative during his augmentation but he gained new abilities being able to control metal and form weapons from his body.Chrome could be someone that would’ve fit well in the MK3 section of the new timeline and have escaped from Cyrax and Sektor.But went into hiding but would be found by Sub Zero during MK3 being offered opportunity for vengeance but would later not join the reformed Lin Kuei feeling as though he would never fit in and would go into hiding again.Chrome would be consulted by Raiden where he would offer him opportunity to protect his realm and regain his humanity if he was able to help defend EarthRealm from Shinnok and Quan Chi but Quan Chi would offer Chrome a deal where if Chrome would’ve helped Quan Chi and Shinnok destroy EarthRealm then he could regain his full humanity.Chrome would betray his realm and help Quan Chi almost take over EarthRealm but would be destroyed by Sub Zero and Chrome would stay dead his soul condemned in the NetherRealm.Chrome would return during Armageddon and aid Quan Chi in gaining information on the Pyramid Of Argus and all of its secrets and would also aid Smoke and Noob Saibot in turning all of the Lin Kuei warriors into shadows.Chrome would also fight in the final battle of Armageddon but would be killed by Sub Zero during the battle.Chrome would return in the new timeline where he would participate in the Cyber Lin Kuei willingly but the process revealed something in Chromes DNA which made it somewhat impossible for him to become fully automated.Chrome would have abilities pertaining to mechanical manipulation and be able to morph his hands into weapon.Chrome would join the invasion of EarthRealm and would aid the Emperor Shao Kahn in conquering EarthRealm betraying his own realm.Sub Zero would personally dismantle Chrome and would continue on his journey to travel to Raidens defense.Chrome would again be resurrected in the NetherRealm but would be under the control of Quan Chi and Shinnok in which Chrome would join Smoke and Sub Zero in distracting the Special Forces.
Funny thing is a character like Chrome was part of my idea for a original character when I got into Mortal Kombat. My first game was Armageddon which had a fighter creation system so I was so excited to make my own warrior in this game and it course as many were I was a immediate fan of Scorpion and the other ninjas. So my fighter would be a ninja of similar design, I chose white as his color since red was taken (*grumbles ermac isn't a ninja*) and even doubt checked online which lead to me finding chrome and thought if he didn't exist he's be perfect for my character but since he did I had to rethink it. In the end I made a character who looked like a mix of the ninjas and moveset based on smoke ( since he was one of the other fighter designs I liked), I even made a cyber look for him adding a neat scarf for flare in both designs. Even though it's been years since I've played it I still love Armageddon for it's massive roster, story that showed off everyone on someway and the ability to make my own fighter in this universe ( Also mortsl kartbat was stupid fun)
I think a good idea for a video in the future would be if you talked about about some of the Unused characters in the MK like say Tiamat, Zebron, Aqua, Baphomet etc. & what they would've been like. Anyways, Keep up the good work HBTW 👍🏽

Chrome was created by a UA-camr at least 10 years ago. I remember watching his idea about a metallic powered ninja and it sounded like it work really well in the Mortal Kombat world.
A chromemancer ninja would be dope as fuck and original considering the ninjas . There was smoke who was essentially a Scorpion rip off ( he came into his own tho and became one of my favs) then Hydro who was a rip off Rain basically . Then frost and Chameleon . It would be nice to have an original ninja who isn't a clone or close to one . Like Ermac and Scarlett original as fuck with the look and power. A liquid Metal manipulator would be bad ass .

An interesting thought I had. Due to the T-800's inclusion in MK11 I think a lot of people are reminded of the T-1000. Part of me hopes that some form of liquid metal Kombatant makes it's way into the universe. It's too cool an idea not to use.

Wait, Khrome is a fan made character formed from an accidentally colored statue? I think there’s a way to bring him into canon thanks to MK1’s new era. See, smoke is no longer Lin Kuei, neither is Kuai Liang. Smoke in the original timeline became a cyborg that was further modified into basically a human body shaped by nanites. Since Smoke can’t be part of this evolution no longer, perhaps Khrome is born from these same nanites when an accident occurs at the now cyber Lin Kuei and they gain sentience, programmed with the ability to shape themselves into weapons as limbs on a warrior that changes form.
This is my dream of all character should put on different color ninja in MK. Or for example this list many color.. - Red = Ermac Orange = Wu lae Brown = Tremor Yellow = scorpion Teal = Chameleon Green = Reptile Cyan = Sub-zero Blue = Hydro Purple = Rain Pink = Phlox White = Khrome Grey = Smoke Black = Noob saibot

Just an idea ofcourse but i feel it's a great way to have colorswaps and sorta give chameleonfans their fighter back. They don't necessarily have to use the name Chrome and he doesn't have to be a ninja you can get a character with the same abilities and give him a different name or her or bring tremor back and make it one of his abilities

If they made a smoke figure and they got the wrong color and fans called it chrome, it’s still a smoke figure and the fans calling it chrome doesn’t grant them a copyright to the concept by proxy. With that said there still is a possibility that it’s made into a real character, at least I hope so because the concept is awesome.
If they're never going to add him, they should at least give a character like Sub-Zero a chrome color swap that could also change his ice to chrome as well (like in Injustice 2 where his ice would gain a coloured taint).
I remember a character named Chrome, but I remember him from LOOOOOOONG before MKX, even before Neatherrealm Studios. I remember him as a Mugen character at that used a UMK3 ninja Sprite and I think some Killer Instinct characters moves, maybe Glacius recolored.
Khrome komodai hydro magnetro they all can be potential characters. Komodai and hydro are already ninjas that had a back story magnetro and khrome are fan made but i think they all have potential to be good ninjas in the mk universal.

A chromemancer ninja would be dope as fuck and original considering the ninjas . There was smoke who was essentially a Scorpion rip off ( he came into his own tho and became one of my favs) then Hydro who was a rip off Rain basically . Then frost and Chameleon . It would be nice to have an original ninja who isn't a clone or close to one . Like Ermac and Scarlett original as fuck with the look and power. A liquid Metal manipulator would be bad ass .

An interesting thought I had. Due to the T-800's inclusion in MK11 I think a lot of people are reminded of the T-1000. Part of me hopes that some form of liquid metal Kombatant makes it's way into the universe. It's too cool an idea not to use.

Well, to be honest it was on the April Fool's Day banner in MKX and the Krypt Pit in MK11 so it's not that unused.
They COULD just create him SLIIIIIIIIIIGHTLY different, and name him “chrome”, or “krome” or something
Closest I see this happening is with the T-1000 showing up later this year as a DLC character.
Maybe because they made a unique character they’d need the stores permission. Yes it was based on MK but that character design would need other paperwork

Wait, Khrome is a fan made character formed from an accidentally colored statue? I think there’s a way to bring him into canon thanks to MK1’s new era. See, smoke is no longer Lin Kuei, neither is Kuai Liang. Smoke in the original timeline became a cyborg that was further modified into basically a human body shaped by nanites. Since Smoke can’t be part of this evolution no longer, perhaps Khrome is born from these same nanites when an accident occurs at the now cyber Lin Kuei and they gain sentience, programmed with the ability to shape themselves into weapons as limbs on a warrior that changes form.
This is my dream of all character should put on different color ninja in MK. Or for example this list many color..

Powers from every color. Cyrax net, smoke teleport, sektor flamethrower, sub zero slide, tremor earthquake, reptile acid ball, noob portals. Just an idea ofcourse but i feel it's a great way to have colorswaps and sorta give chameleonfans their fighter back. You could even replace cyrax and sektor too keep them unique with scorpion spear and ermac telekinatic attack
Just give him a redesign and maybe a different movement and I think it could work
They don't necessarily have to use the name Chrome and he doesn't have to be a ninja you can get a character with the same abilities and give him a different name or her or bring tremor back and make it one of his abilities

5:00 You don’t own a copyright to a mistake, that’s not how that works. If they made a smoke figure and they got the wrong color and fans called it chrome, it’s still a smoke figure and the fans calling it chrome doesn’t grant them a copyright to the concept by proxy. With that said there still is a possibility that it’s made into a real character, at least I hope so because the concept is awesome.
If they're never going to add him, they should at least give a character like Sub-Zero a chrome color swap that could also change his ice to chrome as well (like in Injustice 2 where his ice would gain a coloured taint).

I remember a character named Chrome, but I remember him from LOOOOOOONG before MKX, even before Neatherrealm Studios. I remember him as a Mugen character at that used a UMK3 ninja Sprite and I think some Killer Instinct characters moves, maybe Glacius recolored.
Khrome komodai hydro magnetro they all can be potential characters. Komodai and hydro are already ninjas that had a back story magnetro and khrome are fan made but i think they all have potential to be good ninjas in the mk universal.
Khrome should be used by other non-MK games since he isn't a copyrighted character.
