The house broke down because the family itself grew apart. Bruno left, Isabela was not happy Mirabel was treated like trash, Luisa was valued only for her power. The cracks on the house represents the cracks in the family
So then the house does fall. Do they lose their powers because of that?

Whenever mirabel loses hope the house casita starts to break apart
Just like when she was arguing with abuela when her and isabela finish singing mirabel starts losing hope and the house starts falling down
So mirabel did have a gift after all but at the same time she doesn't!
Mirabel and Abuela are the only one without powers. The reason why Abuela has a door is because she's the current candle holder that gives out gifts. When Abuela passes, She has to pass her role to someone who doesn't have a gift. Mirabel knows her family better than anyone else and knows their hardships. That's why she's in front of the family on the new door of Casita. Plus fun fact. Mirabel & Abuela both butterflies on their clothes, that represents the symbol of the Miracle candle & the Miracle.
I just realised when Mirabel says she “would move the mountain, make new trees and flowers grow”, She DOES!
What she does for her family later in the film to facilitate healing for her family. She moved mountains by making her family confront their trauma and made new trees and flowers grow by helping them all to rebuild their family bonds!!
Antonio just speaks english to the animals and they understand. And he can understand the animals too when they speak their own language.
Wow…… I’m kinda jealous. I want to understand animals too.

Loving y’all’s videos been binging the encanto reactions the moment when Miguel pointed out the sibling situation and y’all both looked back at the same time 🤣💀 also just have to say I appreciate that y’all don’t cut out when there’s tears cause a lot of guys don’t want to be seen crying but honestly I cry almost every time I hear these emotional songs 💁🏻♀️❤️
Crying is human. I love crying and love seeing people cry. Cause then it makes me ugly cry. Crying heals the soul. That’s why these songs means so much to us. We have felt this way but we never know how to express it. That why music is our go to, our safe place.
@@VVVEra I agree 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 that’s why I have “Surface Pressure” on repeat when I’m having a rough day and why when I’m sad I listen to sad music because it helps us to feel like we aren’t alone in how we feel and getting all the emotions out helps us to recover and become stronger 💪🏼

Yeahhhh, the song hits you hard for sure. I've cried watching this scene like at least 3 times now. Such an intense song. I'm pretty sure it's not just about siblings, but Miguel made a really good point that I relate to as well. I grew up with two siblings who were 9 and 10 years older, so of course they could do everything better than me, and it felt like nothing I did meant anything 'cause it wasn't to the level of an adult or what my older siblings could do. And I also relate to the whole "adult" conversation thing that Alberto mentioned. Parents can be such douches sometimes, telling me that I'm just a kid and can't help out or understand things.
I think anyone who wants to shine and feels outshone by everyone else can relate to this song, since at the core, Mirabel is singing about feeling left out, since she's not really able to do something to contribute in a way that others look up to. So I think Alberto got the golden nuggets from what the songwriter intended for this piece.

Dos Oruguitas me destruyó completamente 😭
Just to point out: everybody at the house is not frozen. They are, in fact, moving very slowly. This is to represents how out of sync Mirabel is with everyone else. Especially her family. This is also highlighted during "The Family Madrigal" number. After Alma steps out from her room and everyone is dancing to the song, you see that Mirabel is not in step with the others.

Mirabel doesn’t have a gift also abuela alma doesn’t have a gift alma is the name of abuela the grandkids/Antonio Mirabel Dolores Camilo Luisa Isabela they call alma abuela so and Mirabel has a door but it’s not a magical door Luisa has super strength Isabela has the gift to grow flowers Dolores can hear something move or drop from far away Camilo can shapeshift into anyone pepa/Aunt of Mirabel tia pepa she can control the wether when she’s mad or sad she thunders rains and hurricanes she will have a cloud also Agustin/Dad of Mirabel doesn’t have a gift because they were not a Madrigal in the past and also the same as Felix/Dad of Dolores Abuela is the candle holder she needs to protect the candle because maybe someone steals it and the Casita/the House is magical and Julieta/Mom Of Mirabe she can heal anybody with the food the she makes and Bruno/Uncle of Mirabel can see the future and Antonio/Cousin of Mirabel he can Understand Animals and Pepa Bruno And Julieta Are Triplets Bruno is the Youngest I think.
