There was a fire last weekend at Home Depot on Eastern Long Island. Someone set on fire a pre-summer display of patio items on the sidewalk up against the building. It was very windy and the fire swiftly crept up to the overhanging roof and then to the signage. The place was evacuated out the front door, through the lumber dept. in back, and out a side door fire exit. The fire was put out before it could creep inside the vestibule. Had that happened, it would have set the interior on fire. The cops are still looking for the arsonist.
