I'm quite happy to stay with my S23 Ultra, especially considering most of the AI features are expected to arrive later this month. I'll probably hang on for a couple more years before I upgrade
I've just upgraded to the S24 Ultra but I also bought the S23 Ultra sim free because the spacezoom delivers superior results at high magnifications. But I find the display on the S23 Ultra to be a bit over saturated and when you turn of vivid mode it's too dull. I still have my S21 Ultra which has a better display than the S23 Ultra even on vivid mode. but the S24 Ultra has the best display of all in my opinion and it's not too oversatured on vivid mode
You don't need to get a new Ultra every year. Every two years is okay as there will be noticable differences. I had the Samsung S23 Ultra which I sold to my brother. I now have the S24 Ultra. The AI was a big factor. I will keep my S24 Ultra for about two years now.
Just got a new S23 Ultra for half thr price of the S24 Ultra yesterday. Honestly, I having that extra cash in my account and I didn't like all the changes they made on the S24 Ultra. The cameras for example, I prefer the way the S23 Ultra proccess the photos and also having a 10x optical zoom. From 3-5x I'm fine with digital cropping. Also, the software on the S24 Ultra seems unfinished. Only thing I want from the S24 series is the 7 years of updates.
I upgraded from the s23U to the s24U. I got a deal so for the upgrade it cost $150 in total, and i got a 512gb instead of a 256gb. If it was much more, i doubt I'd have taken the plunge. I can attest they are largely the same phone, but i must admit, the flat glass makes a huge difference. I used to go through loca for glass screen protectors quickly, and I was always fighting with a lifted corner. But the flat glass has none of those problems. Honestly, the curved glass was a design flaw. I didn't appreciate how big of one.
Going from a curve display to a non curve feel like a downgrade, especially how thick the phone is.. I don't use a screen protector and i don't have any problems.
I don't like the curve screen I'm glad there doing with out it.the more powerful phone is the one i got and glad i was able to.s23 is old now regardless

If you have/using the s23U there's no need for an upgrade but for people like me who just decided to buy the flagship phone of samsung, s24U is just as worth as the lower price of s23U today. Been switching from different android phones and decided to go back to samsung for the processor, 7yrs software support, tougher materials, tougher screen, less reflection, more brightness and new features 😊 Edit: also bought the 512gb variant for the price of 256gb variant thru pre order 😊 also recieved a couple of updates for the last 2mos so im glad samsung keeps improving their phones.

Remember the Nokia times when a flagship was the best phone of the market, by far? Yeah, welcome to 2024, now you need a video to understand if the latest phone is better than the previous year one. Surprisingly, it is highly debatable xD
It's difficult to go back to 5x zoom after having 10x. I have an S22 ultra and I'll likely get the S23 over the S24 for this reason although 4k 120 fps was on my wishlist.
It did initially look to me like there was more detail in the S23, but on looking more carefully, I think that was down to sharpness. My phone is Poco F3 and is still working fine. The only reason I want to upgrade to Samsung is that Samsung has an e-SIM feature. If not for this, I wouldn't even consider this overpriced piece of expensive crap. I always used to have the flagship Samsung and stopped at Note 9, probably the best Samsung ever produced. The last flagship samsung to ever have the 3.5mm jack and the expandable memory. I travel a lot and it was really convenient to have a dedicated port for sound and for charging. Also, the expandable memory allowed me to store tens of movies and hundreds of additional high res music. I also have a high end headset, which was driven beautifully by Note 9. I was so angry after that, that I decided to buy the best valued phone, Poco F3, that still works to this day. Before, I noticed that after 2 years, Samsung batteries seem to degrade noticeably, and are hardly able to keep a charge in a day, which is quite a contrast with this Poco F3 battery.
I miss the heart rate monitor on mine but I agree fully except that the cameras are better now but that is a small tradeoff IMO. I have DSLR for the good stuff.
And people yapping about iPhones "just getting a better camera and battery+camera button", these did not get anymore improvement then that. There is not very much more to upgrade from that sooo yeah.
4:54, 24 ultra too saturated, making dark area lose details compare to s23 ultra 5:02, 24 ultra makes light too bright cause loss of details in the bright area. S24 ultra too saturated and overexpose problem has been in there since the day one. It is been like downgrade somehow compare to s23 ultra.
I'm an iPhone user, but I switched to Android about two weeks ago. I bought a Samsung S23 Ultra, and I'm thrilled with the performance of the S24 Ultra, especially the battery, the camera, the S-pin, and the screen.
Bought s23U a month before with lower price,it's a excellent deal and I must say if anyone is going for s24U, must think before because you are going to pay almost double for just minor upgrades, S23U still worth to buy in 2024 for a good price
These differences are MARGINAL, and not noticeable in the real world. To the average consumer, the S23 Ultra is 99% as good as the S24 Ultra, for a much lower price. If you don't care about having the absolute latest model, get the S23 Ultra. It's an absolute steal now with its much lower prices. This year's marketing and improvements were almost entirely centered around AI... which the S23 phones (and even S22 phones) now have. And if you have an S23 Ultra already, upgrading to the S24 Ultra is a laughable decision with how similar these phones actually are.
I sold my S23 Ultra to my brother and got the S24 Ultra. I will keep this for about two years and then get the S26 Ultra. I love the Samsung Ultra brand.
Maybe, another reason for S23u could be if you do need to use legacy apps that won't get 64bit at all? As 8 Gen 3 no longer has 32bit compatibility at all. Not a lot of guys can benefit from this, though...
Hello GSM i am a fan of your chanel. Wish u would do a more relevant comparo which is the S23 Ultra vs the S24 Plus bec of the closer similarities in pricing. You may have done so already and i havent bumped into that vid yet. Will keep scrolling
Both...If I Receive Them As Gifts... Otherwise Neither...My SAMSUNG GALAXY A14 5G & SAMSUNG GALAXY A23 5G Are Just As Good For A FRACTION Of The Price...
I own the S23 Ultra and unfortunately I dropped it the other day, only from where I was sitting onto a ceramic tiled floor. It has minor spider web cracks at top RHS of screen. Was wondering if I should spend AU$600 to replace the screen OR simply go out and buy the upgraded S24 Ultra but after watching this video and seeing there is very little difference between the two, I think I'll stick with my S23 Ultra, albeit with a new screen. What I do wish is for Samsung to offer the S25 Ultra with slight curved corners and get away from the sharp right angles. They could even delete the S pen as I never use it.
The ONLY reason why I would upgrade is the flat screen vs curved screen. I say that while I LOVE my screen, it got cracked from not having a full coverage case and instead using screen protectors. The only problem I'm having is no where has the same screen that I need so to get it repaired, I'd have to void my warranty unless I find a spot that has the right color to match my exclusive phone color... Thankfully it's a minor crack and hasn't really gotten worse, but it has spread more😭
Got the s24 ultra on release date over the s23 just for one main reason. 7 frickin years of software updates over the s23 ultra which has remains 3 years .
I'm happy with my S22 ultra. Some ai features also updated into my phone, No need to change phone. Battery after 3 years use, still fine for me. Had all the features that I need for daily life
Hi Will, The Samsung deal right now is $800.00. Trade in for my S23 Ultra. Both are 512 mb. $499.00 and my phone. Do you think it's worth it, or should I wait till Christmas for hopefully a better price? To add in edit. I only paid $299.00 for S23 Ultra. I trade every year. Samsung gave me $900.00 trade in on the S22 Ultra.
Well, it shipped with android 1š, has 14, and will get 15, 16, and 17, so 2027 + it will work till 2030 easy. Battery costs 20$, and replacing it will be easy DIY or have it replaced for 50$
I like the FULL flat screen! Apple sued Samsung for their patented display and frame edge design. It looks like Samsung (in the S24 Ultra) has finally found an edge and flat display that won't cause a Apple lawsuit, or Samsung has purchased the rights to use Apple's STUPID patent! Thanks a lot Apple for nothing!!!
You guys are funny. So you decided to place a tint on the s23 ultra video to make it look bad? Oversaturating the video color of the s24 ultra to brand it as best. We know your tricks. Those phones are the same. Difference is design and year of production.
The difference, though exists, are at best nominal. But you can buy two (2) S23 ultras for the price of one (1) S24 ultra. At the end of say, a month at most, when excitement wears off, your phone is reduced to reading emails, texting, calling, using bank apps, watching youtube, and taking pictures. The huge bump in cost does not justify it. Verdict: Even money is not an object, you should still get the S23 ultra. S24 is just waste of money and you are not getting any points for buying the more expensive model. And you have to take note that Samsung battery performance degrades after 3 years due to increase in resource demands of newer apps.
Me still wondering is I should upgrade this year or not. Because it looks like it doesn't worth the upgrade this time around. I'll just wait for the fold or s25ultra next year. Oh no it's tempting me, I think I'll just upgrade 😂😅
Ehhhh...I think the s23 ultra camera is a lot better than the S24 ultra. The difference is negligible between the 2. The s23 just seem like the better value.
Honestly, ?? The OPTICAL 10X OF THE S23 ULTRA IS FAAARRRR SUPERIOR THAT THE 10× A.I CROP OF THE S24 ULTRA!!! HOWEVER, THE PROCESSOR OF THE S24 ULTRA IS FASTER AND EFFICIENT THAN THE S23... IF YOU WANT SHEER RANGE (BETTER ZOOM SHOTS AT 10X OR 10-20X ) I WOULD PREFER S23 ULTRA
yeah you might be thinking of 'peak brightness' which will only happen in small spots in HDR content. Your auto-brightness mode will never reach the advertised peaks. Honestly my S23U is plenty bright in direct sunlight, 1300 is plenty reminds me of advertised charging speeds. you only get that 45W for like 1 minute at the beginning of charging, and that's normal.
The S23 ultra if you want a better color S24 ultra for functionality because of the flat screen and longetivity due to longer software updates of 7 years.
What about the differenc in weight? My s23 ultra is so heavy (350g), whereas the S24 ultra is down to 232g! This is honestly why I am considering it....
The tiny difference between both models doesn't justify the increasingly widening price gap between them. Yes, the S24 Ultra is definitely better in terms of display and software support in a long run, but the S23 Ultra is just as good!

4:54, 24 ultra too saturated, making dark area lose details compare to s23 ultra
5:02, 24 ultra makes light too bright cause loss of details in the bright area.
S24 ultra too saturated and overexpose problem has been in there since the day one.
It is been like downgrade somehow compare to s23 ultra.
I'll wait until the S line is very revolutionized before I upgrade. As for now, my s23 is just as good.
Get s23 ultra and save money 😊
Yes sir 😂 from Somalia 🎉 thank you
I'm an iPhone user, but I switched to Android about two weeks ago. I bought a Samsung S23 Ultra, and I'm thrilled with the performance of the S24 Ultra, especially the battery, the camera, the S-pin, and the screen.
Using s23 ultra.
I love it so much.
Not going to upgrade for 3-4yrs
Bought s23U a month before with lower price,it's a excellent deal and I must say if anyone is going for s24U, must think before because you are going to pay almost double for just minor upgrades, S23U still worth to buy in 2024 for a good price
If you're gonna upgrade maybe s24+ is also good
was the S24U on the latest update when doing the camera shots?
One thing i don't like on the S24 ultra is that the colors of the phone are not interesting. It should have been more colorful.
When are you releasing Xiaomi 14 Ultra review ?
Hello from Greece !
I disliked the warmer more yellow tone of the s24 U. Returned it due to this. Might get the s23 U.
I sold my S23 Ultra to my brother and got the S24 Ultra. I will keep this for about two years and then get the S26 Ultra. I love the Samsung Ultra brand.
I want to compare S24 Plus vs S23 Ultra which is better in battery
Maybe, another reason for S23u could be if you do need to use legacy apps that won't get 64bit at all? As 8 Gen 3 no longer has 32bit compatibility at all.
Not a lot of guys can benefit from this, though...
For what prices you can get it in US?
Stick with the S23 ultra 👍
Will which is your favorite phone and the one who keep as your primary phone?❤ please confirm
S23 Ultra is the better deal between both as on today..
Thankfully it's a minor crack and hasn't really gotten worse, but it has spread more😭
Just got the S23 Ultra on a discount. I came from a huawei P30. I can definately feel the difference.
Got the s24 ultra on release date over the s23 just for one main reason. 7 frickin years of software updates over the s23 ultra which has remains 3 years .
I have both phones but i feel like the display colour of s24 ultra looks less vibrant as compared to my s23ultra & A71 😅
Does the storage reduce when S23 ultra is updated to Android 14? How much of storage does the system apps use up?
not really I have 512 GB currently I have 406.2 GB left. System is using 16.5GB.
I'm happy with my S22 ultra. Some ai features also updated into my phone, No need to change phone. Battery after 3 years use, still fine for me. Had all the features that I need for daily life
S23u is just great.if I don't break it I will probably get a s26 ultra when it comes out.
I said almost the exact same thing you speaking facts and that is my plan.
It's more than a year now but I still miss Angie 😢 Does she have a channel of her own now?
Yes she has
@@dhruvit2408 Do you know the name of her UA-cam channel?

Hi Will, The Samsung deal right now is $800.00. Trade in for my S23 Ultra. Both are 512 mb. $499.00 and my phone. Do you think it's worth it, or should I wait till Christmas for hopefully a better price?
To add in edit. I only paid $299.00 for S23 Ultra. I trade every year. Samsung gave me $900.00 trade in on the S22 Ultra.
Just had a good promotion and ended up getting the s24u. Coming from the s10 its amazing
This phone is more than 1 year old but it still feels very latest and upto date specially with the new 6.1 Update. I think it's at its peak right now
Well, it shipped with android 1š, has 14, and will get 15, 16, and 17, so 2027 + it will work till 2030 easy. Battery costs 20$, and replacing it will be easy DIY or have it replaced for 50$
Why does every reviewer leave out one of the most important parts...
What is the storage capacity. And does it have expandable storage or not...
Difference is design and year of production.
can you give me time stamps
No he can't because it is BS.
3:04 - since when S23 Ultra runs OneUI 6.1 ?
I got it on 03/29/24.
wish people /samsung would make it clear how many devices are affected with mura (graininess) issues on s24 ultra
Is it a Samsung thing only? All android battery degrades within 3 years right?
Thanks for your advice and tips here, I think I will go for the S23
2:10 this display of the S24Ultra is much improved in PWM flickering this should be mentioned.
Just looked at an S23 ultra vs an S22 Ultra comparison. Like a repeat of this. The S23 is apparently amazing in comparison. This is nonsense.
Price is very difference between 23/24 😢😢😢
Much-awaited video ❤
Which is the best camera phone? S24 ultra or Huawei P60 pro? planning to buy this month please suggest thank you
Huawei p60 pro
@@smarterphone6863 Thank you
Hello you say that the backside is made from gorilla glass armor but it's not. The back side is victus 2. The front side is gorilla armor
Me still wondering is I should upgrade this year or not. Because it looks like it doesn't worth the upgrade this time around. I'll just wait for the fold or s25ultra next year. Oh no it's tempting me, I think I'll just upgrade 😂😅
if I had s23 ultra I would never upgrade to s24 ultra. but I still hold an s10+ so my upgrade will be to s24 ultra.
my advice is (if you don't have either phone yet) is to wait till the s25 drops and than a mounth and than get the s24 ultra
S23 Ultra's Camera is much better than S24
I find the glass is better than the 23 Ultra... it's not a fingerprint magnet as the 23. Loving the 24 upgrade better now.
Hi guys, im looking to upgrade my 21 ultra, should i just go for the 24 or get the 23?
How's Ai on 24? Is it any more amazing than everything else ? How's their call translating feature ? That's what i like to know
I can get the S23 ultra for 500 euro less than the S24. Is there any point in paying extra for the S24?
What is the software 4 year and 7 year upgrade mean don't the phones update automatically
Definitely better then the 23. So glad i can always upgrade every year when I want.
1:44 Is that correct?
yeah you might be thinking of 'peak brightness' which will only happen in small spots in HDR content.
Your auto-brightness mode will never reach the advertised peaks. Honestly my S23U is plenty bright in direct sunlight, 1300 is plenty
reminds me of advertised charging speeds. you only get that 45W for like 1 minute at the beginning of charging, and that's normal.
