You would have thought that if they spent all this money to build this that they could have at least done some weather modifications (HAARP and chemtrails) so that you could have had a sunny day. 🙂
I remember visiting there in the mid 80s, the views were amazing. The cable car ride to the top was terrifying, between the icicles falling from the cable onto the roof of the car and my brother trying to get the car to sway back and forth.
I made the trip to the top via the cable car in 1976. We took the trip up to Garmisch from Vicenza, Italy to ski up in the bowl. We were from an American paratrooper battalion so we thought we were pretty much fearless. Well, let me tell you, none of us were smiling on that trip up which went right through the clouds! Was a scene right out of Clint Eastwood’s Where Eagles Dare!

Rode this cable car to Zugspitze today and the last few hundred meters before the summit are nearly a vertical climb. I'm not scared of heights, but that ride made me uneasy 😂 My husband kept reminding me that Germans built it, and when we came home we found this documentary. Amazing stuff!
