Nice video. I was in Lincoln for the 'Old Lincoln Days' event. The parade and the Billy The Kid festival/re-creation was alot of fun. I highly recommend visiting if you ever get a chance. Smokey Bear museum is nearby too!
Hey thanks for the trip down memory lane. Been to Lincoln town twice. White Oaks is worth a look too if you have time. BTW I see Drew Gomber left a comment. I LOVED him on Wild West Tech. What a great TV show and it totally fueled my 'Billy phase'....
Dee 1955 I'd love to see the History Channel actually go back to showing programs about......I don't know, maybe HISTORY ! Your absolutely right, Wild West Tech was a great show and showed to real side of how things were back then.
The long building you ask about is the Montano Store and the B&B is the Patron Store. Wallace stayed in the Montano and the Kid went into voluntary imprisonment in the Patron Store. The building they met in is gone.
Drew Gomber I enjoy all the work you have done on the History Channel back when they actually did HISTORY programs. Also the programs on the American Hero's channel. I think western history and your the face I put with it.
We are planning a four to six week Western trip in the Summer of 2021. We will be driving from NH. We will probably decide the details when we get to where ever. This Video put Lincoln on the list along with the Capulin Volcano and the Rio Grande Bridge. Looking forward to this trip.
Hope you will enjoy this part of the country. Also take a look at other close towns or sites such as Ft.Stanton ten miles from Lincoln and Cloudcroft. Nice places to visit.
I really would love to visit this town and the town of tombstone one day. Billy and Doc Holiday were supposed at one time to of met however I am not sure. But being able to visit these town's would be amazing on a vacation.
Thanks man, still travel every year to see friends etc...I'll retire in Lincoln when I'm old n grey, despite what the wife says. Great clip too, good luck.
it is to the town side of the tunstall store, the wall is gone and the building next to the store wasnt there. it is pointed out perfectly in a different video this guy has made.
I really wish you would've given more actual footage on where Billy slept, ate, rode, bank, bar scene bawl, any pertinent info where Billy made famous. Looked too moderned for me.
What is the long builing @ 3:13 and what is the bed and breakfast @ 3:19? The bed and breakfast and breakfast @ 319 looks like the builin that Billy met Governor Wallace
so wish I could see where Billy rode. thanks for the tour
Appreciate your video, keeping the legend alive!

Lincoln is anything but modern but it is very over restored since those days of old.

Where is the Dolan Store? Why did you not point it out?
phoenixmagi2 Dolan's store, or "The House," became the courthouse where Billy was held prisoner and eventually escaped being hung.
