      I respect your opinion Natty, but you are wrong! I believe that Gama lifted the great stone! People were a lot tougher and stronger in the 'Old Days'

      @@thejughead138 You’re welcome to believe whatever you want. But even if people were “tougher” back in the day it doesn’t account for them being literally 6x stronger than modern day giants on steroids. Imagine just how big the stone would be, it wouldn’t even be possible to get your hands around it. The stone weighed 10x more than Gama, I think only ants can carry 10x their bodyweight 😁 not humans

      @Natty Life My issue: YOU had 0 interviews from anyone over there about it - Fu*k what you think, is it true? I have an extreme dislike for that fact and I DO NOT think you just say it didn't happen because you don't think so.
      He can beat a dude 7 feet tall (who no one else could) but not lift that stone? I don't get how can buy 1 and dismissed the other.
      I just think it's lazy - I was REALLLLLY looking forward to this one! You did a story about a guy who lifted a full grown bull and you DIDNT call BS on THAT. Bulls can weight from 1,100 - 2,200lbs (QUICK Google search) - I don't get how you can believe one an throw the other out.

    As an Indian.... Felt touched. Once upon a time, young boys in Indian villages and small cities used to sweat in Talimms and Aakhadas (wrestling schools) . Sadly things have changed. Now everyone wants to play cricket. Although wrestling is still very much popular. Gama had a brother. Gunga. He also was a great wrestler. Names Gama and Gunga are still pronounced with deep respect and reverence. Many... Many thanks for this video.

    I'm really glad you included the most badass feat of strength in Gamma's career -- safeguarding his neighbors. We can say a lot about his aesthetics, athletic ability, competitive achievements and overall strength. But he used his strength to protect the weak from the strong and the few from the many. His aesthetics were pretty good even when he was old, but the true beauty was in his heart. I think about him in my own training -- not crazy things done with rocks, but how he helped others. Jon Bluming is another example of a super-strong old school combat athlete who was motivated by the urge to protect others. In Bluming's case, he was Christian but lived in a Jewish area of the Netherlands. He watched helplessly as his friends were rounded up and sent to the camps. His motivation for training could be summed up as "Never Again." When I think I've reached failure in a set, I try to do two more -- one to honor each of those great men and to remind myself what really matters.

    • @NattyLifeYT
      @NattyLifeYT  2 роки тому +40

    • @DjDolHaus86
      @DjDolHaus86 6 місяців тому +2

      @@TheGovernmentputcrackinmyblunt The Farnese Hercules is literally an art piece depicting the son of a god, his proportions are exaggerated to emphasise the epitome of a masculine physique. It's the ancient equivalent of an unobtainable modern day bodybuilder competition physique, something so perfect as to be only possible if you're a god. While I won't argue that post silver age bodybuilding physiques have gotten to ridiculous proportions, they all demonstrate the ultimate limits of how muscular a human body can become without limits while utilising all means necessary. To create the farnese hercules statue an artist would have studied the most muscular men available and then scaled the muscles up by a percentage while maintaining proportionality, this is true of body building where the physiques are those of naturally muscular, lean men scaled up by a percentage using drugs and excessive diets.

The traditional wrestler's diet does include several liters of milk, butter and badam ragda (the almond paste you mentioned). Though 6 chickens seems too much, but for someone with an exceptionally high metabolism, might as well be true.
