this printer can routinely be found on sale for $39 CAD at most big box stores, Staples (the latter currently) + the BS environmental fee of $8 and tax, so about $55. I was actually going to purchase this today but all store in my town were sold out. MSRP of any printer is kinda BS too. purchased the HP Envy 5460 instead because it was discounted to the same price, down from $129. Uses the #62 cartridge with slightly better printing economy and within $2 of the 5530's #61 cartridge. One important thing to note, several reviews from reputable sites do have one thing in common. The 5530 DOES NOT deliver the photo quality printing is boasts. In conclusion I'd suggest people go with the 5460 as the 5530 inks will likely be phased out sooner that the 5460. that is not to say either would be phased out for several years, but something to think about.
773steve, thanks for your question. On a Mac I can scan to PDF, PNG, or TIFF using the Apple system dialog (system/printers/HP Envy.../Scan). I did not use any independent HP software. Not sure how it works on a Windows machine. Good luck.
Daisy Train interesting. On the control panel, select the wireless icon (looks like an I or antenna surrounded by parentheses) and then select settings and then wireless set up wizard. Good luck.
