Thank you so much for excellent video on a printer. I have decided on this printer for; color resolution, smart phone(I do not have computer), 2 sided and different types of paper available. You were the only vid I saw that pulled out paper trays and showed how to re-size paper. Thank you for that... 👏👏👍

I just bought this printer, i needed one that could print on cardstock. It does fine printing on cardstock but whenever I print a 5 x 7 landscape I always get a line through the sentence on the 2nd line. Ive done the "clean cartridges" and "clean smear" it doesnt need an update....nothing I do seems to help 🙁 other then this problem i like the printer. Id rather fix this issue then return it
Try switching to new ink cartridges.

Where would ai feed my heavier paper to print? Does the photo section take a heavier cardstock? 8x11

You say that the main difference between this and the OfficeJet is the print head. But then you don't actually explain the difference! Would be helpful. Also, can you tell me if the extra input tray can only be used for smaller photo paper or can it also be used for 8.5x11" photo paper?

I need help from you. I just bought this printer and when i print something. Is printing slow and quiet. Like if i picked best Qualiy. The Quiet mode is off by the way. So no clue what in the setting is also influencing ita printing speed

Stephan Kinsella wrote an old article in 2010 explaining why ink printers are so expensive. He blamed patent laws and that printer companies use patent laws to make their printers incompatible with 3rd party/generic ink. I am pretty sure printer companies use copyright as well to make it illegal to modify their printers or remove the drm. Under federal law it is illegal for printer companies to block 3rd party cartridges, but companies like HP still make their printers accept only "official" ink cartridges. My suggestion is to never buy a printer that is the E model since the E model you can't use generic ink and it is difficult to disable HP cartridge protection. For example the HP Officejet Pro 9015 is much better than the 9015e since you can use generic cartridges on the 9015 thus ink for the 9015 is vastly cheaper. HP+ program is basically a scam and it will hurt your wallet.

@@BestPrinters I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 6978. Ink from 3rd party cartridges cost $22-27 for all the colors, high yield. Just regular ink cost $14.50 for all the colors. You buy the "approved" ink cartridges, it cost in between $40-120 for a full set of colors.

I just bought one, it seems you can not use the Wi-Fi to print if it’s tethered via usb to a desktop. Still searching for a fix.

I was looking for hp Envy 7255e. HOW do I find Printer Alignment. the Avery labels are not printing correctly. They are about 1/4 inch too high.
This or the Canon PIXMA TR8620a? Noticed you did a review on the 8520 and seemed to like it.

I would always prefer inkjet printers. You have many more options.
@@BestPrinters but the ink is so expensive and when you don’t print out a lot the ink dries very quickly. I had that problem with the Canon Pixma and also I changed the print head regularly and it always broken. But thank you for your reply ☺️☺️

I bought one, after a printer made by a different company would not work at all, and had to be returned to the Seller. There is no USB port on the rear of this HP printer - in fact, there is a sticker over the hole telling you there is no USB port under the sticker. Unless you watch a video like this one, the instructions from HP are garbage in about 5 languages.
One problem I have is that when I’m trying to print a report of 8 to 10 pages, the printer is going to print multiple sets, which seems to be impossible to control. I did not sign up for the HP Printer program, because I thought it was a trick to get you to buy expensive HP ink from them more frequently than you would need to; I am going to re-evaluate that decision. Non-HP inks will not work correctly with this printer - always use genuine HP ink. When everything is working properly, the print and color quality are excellent; paper capacity is minimal, however. Thanks for making this video.

Wish I had seen this video before I purchased this computer. I only have mine unboxed and plugged in. I am regretting purchasing this computer. I have never put an app on my phone. I cannot do QR codes. Hp is no help. I will try to find this unknown app on my computer and hope for the best. Wish there had been a big note on the box that you need a smartphone and you need to add an app.
If you were within the return. You should return it.
So much easier to simply hook up a printer to your home computer with a cable, and skip all the wireless nonsense which many people don't need
