    Interesting....
Just have to say - dating after polygamy should be practiced with caution. The ladies are already programmed to put up with and accept less than because of the high misogyny and entitlement of the men they've dealt with all of their lives from the leadership down to their little brothers and everywhere in between.
There are many men here on the outside who have a nose for sniffing out who they can deal b.s. out to that will accept it - and they will find you. If something feels off, it probably is. 🚩
Don't doubt yourselves when you feel that spidey sense creeping up your spine.

Yes, one of my friends roommate was a Lost Boy his story was fascinating. He was one of 45 and had four Mom's. He actually was not completely shunned by his family, his biological Mother kept in touch with him because she will always be his Mom. His full siblings kept in touch with him as well, he was a very vibrant young man. But when it came to dating and judgement about finding a new faith community it was tough. Many who leave do end up joining Christian churches which is great I have met someone who is ex FLDS at my Episcopalian church, turns out there is a decent size community of ex FLDS who work for the Amish on construction jobs. Anyway this friends roommate ended up joing this small cult like church, it was what he knew. But when they started taking his paychecks he began to wake up also he was seeing a colleague of mine I am a therapist. Well he ended up leaving this small bible cult church, he did meet a lovely girl there but their speed of dating is not what us here raised in the secular world was quite fast. This was a year or so ago, they are happily married. But it was a rough road for them. Many ex FLDS end up in cult like churches, on drugs etc.. because they have NO skills. This young man happened to be a skilled carpenter and enjoyed his work The men have good skills to use in the real world but the women know nothing of homemaking. His wife was shocked when my friend and I told her that she has the right to pursue her dreams. She is now in school to be an LPN. They are happily married

I find this fascinating, yet, it's confusing too. I just heard (audiobook) Rebecca Musser's book which says the opposite. Rebecca & Elissa Wall are Charlene's half sisters. In Rebecca's book, "The Witness Wore Red" she claims Charlene's mother, who was the first wife, was the one that was abusive, not their mother Sharon (Aunt Sherrie.) Rebecca claimed her dad's first wife (Charlene's mother) was very abusive and was super jealous of her mother, Sharon, who was Lloyd Wall's second wife.
I wonder which one was abusive? Both were probably monsters, if I had to guess.

Ok so from what I can tell she is Myrna's daughter. Lloyd Wall was married to Myrna first and then Sharon (Aunt Sherry.) Sharon is the mother to Rebecca and Elisa Wall. Very famous sisters that left the FLDS. I have seen extensive interviews with them both and to hear Elissa/Rebecca tell it, you would think Myrna (the 1st wife and Charlenes mom) was totally evil and abusive and very much mistreated the other wives kids. But as Charlene talks about Sharon "Aunt Sherry' its as if she was the problem and lazy. And extremely abusive!! How people living in the same home for so many years can remember things so differently????? Interesting

Rebecca in her book The Witness Wore Red” documents how abusive the first wife of her father was. But yet Charlene documents in this interview that her second mom was the abusive one. So what is the truth here? In Rebecca’s book, she documents extreme atrocities committed by Charlene’s mom against her and her full blood siblings. I think it warrants bringing Rebecca on to interview and it’s a shame that these half siblings are so contradictory about their siblings and mothers and what happened.

He had at least 9. The names of the ones I know of are Charlene Wall, Pauline Barlow, Diana Bell Barlow, Lenora Bauer, Margaret Stewart, Luella Roundy, Meagan Black, Christine Black and Mabel Jessop. Mabel was for sure underage when they got married. I believe it’s her that there’s a photo of with Lyle and their baby. She absolutely still looks like a child herself.

Rebecca and Elissa say her mom was the mean one. She says theirs was. Isn't that interesting.

@tennillepatterson5500 Yes, I believe neither wife was good to the other's children. And from all the books I've read, it seems to be the norm.

The mothers were probably more harsh on the children that weren't theirs. It's more common in polygamy than we might think, from what people have said in interviews.

good people, why don't you help the FLDS people? it will take another 200 years to get them out of there one by one ! be smarter, we have actors and special effects! Use the lack of community information to your advantage! don't leave children in situations of abuse. Please ! you have the power to make a miracle and save thousands of lives, including your families.

Nah, the FLDS is a dangerous cult that was run by a sadistic pedophile. But please, tell me how you would know more than Warren Jeffs' sister-in-law. 😂

I do get the sense that something is slightly off with her, and that she may not be telling the truth entirely. But they all went through horrific things, were brainwashed and believed in things that were wrong.

We all have truths, and where there is evil or misunderstanding, God is in that too, He being the very doer of both good and evil, to try and to prove the souls of man (Is. 45:7).
