    This is great. I have a feeling that when I put the Ls3 in my Vic I will have the same problem with the steering shaft. But you showed me the kit to reroute the shaft. I am so excited. I wish the machine shop would get the block done. I still need to order the hollow stem valves for my 821 heads. There is still alot to do and acquire parts. Your truck is coming right along. She is going to be a beast!!!

    Steering shaft will be fine once the power steering is complete. That looks great!

      Man, I'm hoping for the best. I know that worst case scenario if it did have any binding I could move the shaft closer to the engine by probably an inch especially if I did some light denting of one of the header primaries. I only ran the power steering pump with my Milwaukee M18 for testing and it is just not the same as having the engine running lol. My home made welded up power steering hose for the high pressure side seems to work and has no leaks so that is looking like a win.

    Did you guys do any front end suspension work? I have a 2010 Ranger. I’m trying to put a LS in it. Also what axle are you using?

    • @PNW_Car_Mods
      @PNW_Car_Mods  2 місяці тому +1

      Just made sure everything was tight. Replaced one upper control arm. Fresh new coil springs direct replacements. Cut approximately 1.25 coils off for lowering. Cheap Monroe gas magnum shocks. Thin hockey puck bump stops or else it will ride terrible hitting the bump stops ALL the time. Oh and the chinese crap front wheel bearings would not hold up to the weight. No matter how much preload you put on them they always had play in them. Put a fresh set of Koyo wheel bearings in the front and that problem seems to be gone.

    my '94 4.0 still has some life(142,) but I'd sure love a nice stock chevy v8 swap option. Gauges don't matter just need a way to mount an engine and transmission. and maybe some a/c. thats all i'm asking. How has no one made a kit yet

    • @PNW_Car_Mods
      @PNW_Car_Mods  9 місяців тому

      The closest thing you'll probably find to a kit is specific swap parts from a company called oddball motorsports. From what I've seen they seem to have a good reputation. Kind of expensive though.

    I need that steering shaft setup for my coyote swapped crown vic where did you order the parts from ?

    • @PNW_Car_Mods
      @PNW_Car_Mods  Рік тому +1

      All from Amazon. Just search for 3/4 DD steering shaft and you will find it all! It's all basically copies of Borgesson hot rod stuff for a 1/4 of the price. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is you should counter or dimple drill all the steering shaft after you get your lengths right so the set screws have somewhere to fully lock into place.

    • @PNW_Car_Mods
      @PNW_Car_Mods  Рік тому +1

      @@JesseGonzales-x8q Go on amazon and search for RABROPAR and BUYMACHINEPART and also ALLSTAR PERFORMANCE. You need two 3/4" DD u joints and one 3/4 DD to FORD TRIANGLE ujoint. Then you need a 24" long stick of 3/4DD steering shaft. Should be around 100 bucks for everything.

    How did you do with wires to make it work

    • @PNW_Car_Mods
      @PNW_Car_Mods  11 місяців тому

      I used a factory GM gen 3 PCM and a cheap Amazon / eBay standalone wire harness. One of these days I will try and do an overview video of ALL the wiring. It doesn't take but power and ground plus ignition switch starter cranking signal to make it run but ultimately there is a lot more than that to get it usable.

    • @PNW_Car_Mods

      Negative. Factory engine harness removed completely. Integrated standalone LS harness merged to the factory chassis harness to make it all work. One of these years I will make a video on the wiring.
