Dude, you pointing out the differences in car blur between Gen 3 and Gen 4 is EXTREMELY helpful. I'm colorblind so my color vision is quite muted compared with normal people, meaning I've been playing this game for like 6 years without being able to tell the difference between the two, unless it's very sunny out. This is very limiting for a 1000-ish player. It's still not gonna help on every round but it'll help on many, which is awesome.
Oscar these videos are amazing, its really nice and helpful to learn from someone instead of reading guides + i feel like i learn more important metas for the game with your videos compared to plonk it. keep the content going its great.
this is great, would love a video on car metas or even copyright metas aswell, like which copyright is most common in which country so you can use it if you dont have anything else to go off of. or for regions of countries too i know the bangladesh ones
Have you ever made a video explaining how to actually learn geoguessr? I mean like the methodology of practicing or something like that. Is it just straight playing over and over, or exploring the map and write down some notes? How about how to remebering the metas, or keep up with the metas? Is learning trough website and video like yours is enough?
Great video but I have a question about the United Kingdom and the islands. I have recently gotten the Hebrides and Shetland islands which I always get confused and I also remembered that there is coverage on the Orkney islands as well. So I was wondering, is there a good way to distinguish all 3 islands groups. The only thing I was able to find a little bit consistently is that the Hebrides have only gen 4 coverage while the others have gen 2, 3 and 5 coverage. It would be so helpful specifically because it is not mentioned on the plonkit guide
@@Supertax2 totally different, because when they republish older roads with a newer generation, the copyright updates, so u can see a gen 3 road (taken in 2012-2016ish) with copyright that’s way later like 2022 or 2023. shitcam which is pretty terrible quality is also a more recent copyright as well. camera gens are super important, copyright not so much.
I thought shitcam was purposely blurred to not see the google car? also the gen 1 stuff here (USA) is literally impossible to read anything so makes sense it was on purpose. idk how I didn't notice it when I was 11 and constantly on google earth and it was only gen 1.
The difference between colors in gen 3 and 4 is a way to different. The blur and the halo in gen 2 is often visable even if it's NMPZ which could make you realize it's gen 2 and not gen 3.
who’s the baddie in the thumbnail?
That's a picture of the gen 3 camera
Not clicking away the "Help us improve Google Maps" is psychotic behaviour.
He did at 20:23
Car metas of the world, yes please!
HOLY SHIT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO AND IT'S ACTUALLY HERE
learn ur camera gens jit
@Jayko33 😤🙏
I love how “shitcam” became an official term lmao. I used to call gen 1 shitcam/shittycam
yes, i wanna see car metas too
Car antennas tutorial would be a great idea

Needed this im really studying my metas now and I do not always correctly identify the camera generation. Thanks really appreciate the content
I still don't know how people can distinguish Gen 3 & Gen 4 when they're not put side to side in comparison.
saturation/brightness is like night and day
@@Jayko33 Only with clear skies, if it's cloudy Gen 3 and 4 look very similar.
@@BenNemoo if you’ve played enough it just clicks idk

I really like your videos, I’ve learned a lot
yo just finished watching the vid, helped me a lot! and yea you probably should make a car metas of the world tutorial
this is great, would love a video on car metas or even copyright metas aswell, like which copyright is most common in which country so you can use it if you dont have anything else to go off of. or for regions of countries too i know the bangladesh ones
I struggle with the more niche car metas that are not available on PlonkIt - would love a video on that
i think car metas of the world would be incredibly useful!
This guy is on absolute fire 🐐🐐
Thank you for this geoguessr explanation
Car meta Will be cool
Gen 5 camera when zigzag
car metas would be a great idea
I just started geoguessr and would love to have a car meta guide!
Cheers, Oscar. When do you think we'll start talking about Gen 5? What updates to the camera technology/quality/blur would be required?
Seeing the thumbnail I thought Oscar would be watching Wall-E…
It’s would be so cool to have one of those old gen cameras I wonder if anyone has ever gotten ahold of one of those.

Looking fresh Oscar

Me and my girl love doing the European Backtab
Iceland has gen 4 as well now, that isn't on the map. And the Faroes are getting it as well.
You know the road works situation is bad when an Australian using street view complains about them.
Bulgaria also has gen 2 trekkers in the capital
sorry but trekkers dont count for classic geoguessr play
Commenting before finishing (cardinal sin, I know) but copyright meta would be useful if it isn’t discussed here. Thanks!
Would love car meta!!!
'shitcam' used to describe the india car 💀💀
So how does copyright relate to the camera gen? Or is this an entirely different thing?
The reason I ask is because I sometimes see 2024 copyright but the camera quality looks aweful

On NMPZ how do you differentiate 3 and 4? And 2 and 3?
The difference between colors in gen 3 and 4 is a way to different. The blur and the halo in gen 2 is often visable even if it's NMPZ which could make you realize it's gen 2 and not gen 3.
When playing, can you get same location in different cam generations or game always choose newest camera.

😢
Can someone explain to me what the deal is with low cam sometimes in the French and Italian alps?
