Revisione fantastica di Time Table in chiave jazz.
Grandi!
Amazing! I'm an unrepentant prog rocker and Gabriel era Genesis is my number one. However, jazz has always been a style I have liked through its full use of innovation and flair. This band interprets Genesis with consummate skill and flair. A really outstanding group with a beautiful sound and great vision. More please and live gigs in the U.K.
This is terrific!! Jazz and Genesis, it's like two of my favourite things have merged into one. Also I'm a huge fan of Cowboy Bebop music, and this is very much like that. Superb!
Enjoyed hearing this beautiful music re-interpreted with such musicality and imagination. Bravo!
What a great cover of this wonderful song. I love the jazzy feel and the charming vocals by Mar Vilaseca, especially the fast flow of the line "though names may change each face retains ..." Well done!
Why rush such a profound lyrical phrase ? I get the jazz interpretation of the music and quite like it but the vocals for me seem too affected solely in the cause of trying to be different.
Bellissimo brano, Grandi Genesis e grande interpretazione bravissimi!!!!😍
Coucou Dick !

Excellent thank you ! Very refreshing compared to all those clone tribute bands
Lyrics
A carved oak table,
Tells a tale
Of times when kings and queens sipped wine from goblets gold,
And the brave would lead their ladies from out of the room to arbors cool.
A time of valor, and legends born
A time when honor meant much more to a man than life
And the days knew only strife to tell right from wrong
Through lance and sword.
Why, why can we never be sure till we die
Or have killed for an answer,
Why, why do we suffer each race to believe
That no race has been grander
It seems because through time and space
Though names may change each face retains the mask it wore.
A dusty table
Musty smells
Tarnished silver lies discarded upon the floor
Only feeble light descends through a film of grey
That scars the panes.
Gone the carving,
And those who left their mark,
Gone the kings and queens now only the rats hold sway
And the weak must die according to nature's law
As old as they.
Why, why can we never be sure till we die
Or have killed for an answer,
Why, why do we suffer each race to believe
That no race has been grander
It seems because through time and space
Though names may change each face retains the mask it wore.
Back in the Fall of ‘72, being a freshman at Muhlenberg College and a new DJ at WMUH, I ran across the Foxtrot album. Time Table was the first song I heard by the band and I WAS HOOKED forever more ! The Peter Gabriel/Steve Hackett era of the band remains my all time favorite! This interpretation is beautiful ! 50 years of being blessed by the band’s trailblazing contributions to modern music !
Fabulous! Love it!! A song and groups I listended to a whole lot as a teen in the 70's. I also love jazz. Well done
You're a paradise for genesis lovers...
speechless.
beautiful.
amazing.
speechless, in other words.
Wonderful! I love Genesis...they're my favorite band! Really like your version!
Excellent! Impassioned, sleek and clever :) More please!
you are great. thank you for sending me your channel.
This surpasses the original version by light-years. The Foxy Lady sings at last.
Maybe in a way, but the original tune had too be written and brought to light somehow. And the Genesis version is still beautiful
BRAVO... UNA MARAVILLA!!!!
A very nice Interpretation of an incredibly Masterpiece.
A breath of fresh Genesis air, Bravo!
Brilliant! What a great rendition. Well done!

Bello....
Wow
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brilliant rendition and great musicians but the music of Genesis in my opinion is not suited to jazz version but to classical music version. But music is freedom too so Thank you! (But I do not expect a cumbia version of Time table😂)
🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️
.
Not bad.
Sempre
The text of the song is kind of philosophical, but emotionally pessimistic, hopeless and sad. Is this an emotion jazz cannot express? The answer is, I guess: rather not! And maybe it's because of that, that I don't like jazz.
why all the light jazzist muscicians and listeners think that jazz music is slow and dumb. the jazz is madness and unexpetable. please change more thing to sound different. there are ... I think I hear karen Souza in this cover version. and Im sorry but I dont like ... zzzzzzzz
Are you even TRYING to make sense?
nothing to say about the musicians but.... Genesis is prog. You can't play prog like that. It's breaking it down... This stuff is unbearable to a prog fan and a genesis fan ..
well i'm sorry if my opinion offended you, in my opinion prog evolving from jazz, jazz is one that a group of friends from Charterhouse school named Peter, Tony and Mike used to listen to, besides blues, classical and rock and roll / swingin 60's at the time.
You can dislike this cover but you can't say that a Jazz band did not play a prog song. Different types and genres of music is melted on prog music and Jazz especially. Listen to Zappa, Mahavishnu Orchestra. Recently Snarky Puppy includes Prog Music in their Funk/nuJazz music.
yeah i agree, but you have to remember that not all prog listener know that
Muhammad Firman yes I know that and I was one of these few years ago ;-)
aha ! glad to know someone has been through a musical journey, i remember when i was 14 and i choose to listen to Rush, Yes or Pink Floyd, my brother - an avid metalheads - says that "i will be nerd, have no friends and be lonely"
I think the real jazz is instrumental , when I listen any singer specially with genesis songs , I want to turn off everything. By te way the singer is good but please dont do it in the genesis songs. thanks
