wow the fading the wash by pre applying the thinner on the wings is some next level tip! Great video, cant wait to use these techniques to paint some feathers.
I did look to Cardinals when doing the red bird, mostly because I needed to know what to paint the beak. I was also thinking I'd try a peacock, but there just wasn't enough time x_x
