Duck and her ducklings helped to safety!

- Over the 40+ years he's been rescuing animals, Simon has come up with numerous techniques to make ruscues quicker, smoother and as stress free as possible, and one of our favourites is the 'keep net' trick!
This mallard family needed a little help to water after getting lost in a large back garden. With several very busy roads between them and their goal, they definitely needed a little help!
Adult ducks are notoriously flightly and can easily abandon their brood if they feel under threat. This trick allows us to safely relocate whole families without mum flying off, and it works so well!

I showed my 10 yo niece your channel.
She now wants to rescue wildlife.
Next generation in the making :)
Aww that's so nice to hear! Thanks so much for letting us know :)
Good for her ! SO nice to hear kids of that age being interested in our wildlife... Give her a BIG hug from me !
I just love the sound of Simon's voice. It's so calming and soothing. Wish he'd record a audiobook! We love you, Simon the Superhero! 💚
Just make sure to keep the Kardashian channel blocked
Thank you Simon for all you do!
I got to help a duck and get ducklings cross a busy road the other day. I used what I learned from WAF.
That’s terrific. I just read about some locals in my neighborhood who tried to get a duck family off a major road to safety. The babies are safe, but mom duck got spooked and flew off. She’s since been spotted, but no word yet whether she and her brood have been reunited.
Aww, how lovely to see mum and ducklings reunite and swim off together 💜
A textbook rescue-release and perfect lesson in patience and composure 😊xXx
Thank you so much for doing this beautiful job. Good to see Simon in action, wish you all the best. Thanks also Lawrie
The duck whisperer...❤
Great rescue, Simon and Lawrie! God bless you two! ❤
I share totally Manuela‘s comment🎀🎀🎀
Thankyou to everyone at Wildlife Aid and all groups who stand up to save Wildlife Real Heroes
I have an expectant mother Mallard nest by my front entrance to my house. We've taken all steps including placing signs stating shes a protected species and allerting the housing athorities and landscapers not to disturb her.
We watch her always like duck police to insure her safety. With love, hope and luck we can help her with a smooth transistion to the nearest water when the babies finally hatch❤
We call her Susan😊
How wonderful, absolute textbook, and a beautiful day to boot. Thank you, Simon, Lawrie, the people who called, and everyone involved in this and the rest of your wonderful work. Good luck to Mama and the Babies!
Simon and Lawrie make such an awesome pair!
Wonderful work, thank you for caring. 💗💗💗💗

Wonderful Rescue!! 😁🙏😁
Thank you Simon & Lawrie!!
Wonderful to see Simon battling fowl.
Good job you took care of Mrs Quackers first. Ducklings are the most beautiful creatures on the planet. Thanks to Simon and Lawrie.
Always wonderful to see you, Simon. Keeping you in my prayers. 🤗🙏
Thank you for saving this family ❤😊. Even when you love it, it's still hard work.❤😊❤😊❤😊
Wow that was a pretty big brood of ducklings. I'm glad it all worked out and Mum swam off with her little ones in tow.
Beautiful catch & Release guys ❤️ Simon, please know I am praying for you & I hope you are alright. Your work is so very important
Aww, lovely! Good luck, mum and littles!
We once had a duck family in our community garden. And tried very hard to keep them from slipping under the fence and onto the street while we waited for the animal rescue team to arrive.
Additionally there were young blackbirds who had just fledged and felt scared by our moving around, so we had to drive them back to the garden too. That was a stressful time, because I was so afraid one of the birds might get run over. Thankfully, nothing happened, although they did go onto the street eventually and I had to drive them back.
The capture team arrived and we were able to capture duck mom and then all her babies. We had to fish some of them out of a levender bush where they had successfully hidden. Was a lot of crawling around in the dirt. ^ ^
They put them in a carrier box, but that one had large enough openings in the front that one of the babies fell out on the way to the car. We quickly caught it again, though.
The team did not take as many precautions as the WAF people did. For example, they put mom and ducklings into one carrier.
Anyway, I think it still worked out and everyone arrived safely at a nearby lake.
Lovely job, thank you for saving this family. I spend a lot of time with ducks and have seen how devastating it is for the mother duck if they lose their ducklings. There is one at the place I go that lost all 10 to Gulls about 6 weeks ago. She is normally very loud and full of character when she comes over to feed but has been silent since. They are very emotional creatures.
So Sweet! 🥰 Glad Mama Duck and babies are safe. 🦆🦆 Glad to see Simon is still working. He is such a nice man. ❣❤🩹❤ Hope he ends up okay. Prayers for him, from the States. 🙏✝☮
Well done for helping the lovely duck mother and her brood .🦆❤

Thank you very much for all that you do--looks like this rescue was "just ducky"!
God bless you Simon 🙏 ❤️ 🙏
Love you guys. Kind hearts... happy mother duck & babbies. Beautiful days just now up in Scotland (touch wood)... all the birdies are busy, mostly happy. Seen loadsa deer. Roe & other. They don't appear as nervous as they have. Fascinated by Dippers - since I saw my first recently. It blended in with the white wash and froth of the stream as it did its knee exercises on a rock. Much love
With all the horrors in the world it’s so lovely to see some decent human beings 🦆🥰
Thank you for looking after all the wildlife 🦊🦊🦝🦝🐭🐭🐰🐰🦔🦔🦢🦢🦆🦆

I think mamma duck trusts that grey haired gentleman, as soon as he coxed her she followed.
Much Love, God Bless to the A Team and the folk that called you in! ❤ XXX

Another heart warming and emotional video...in a not so heart warming world at the moment. Well done guys. Question: how many groups such as WAF are there in operation? (anywhere?)
Thanks for this! Been waiting for it. I'd build you a whole new facility if I could. Cheers!

Wonderful rescue as usual 💜
Well done sir ❤🎉🎉
❤😮😊 Brilliant 👏👌👍🙌 what you do for animals!
Great work team 👍🇦🇺
Lovely rescue to a lovely pond. Kind of like herding cats to get them there, though.☺
The ones you had to catch by hand screamed like you were holding them upside down by the feet. So small and such drama-queens. But it must be hard to understand for them.
So good to see them off to a chance of being more than a foxes dinner, even though I love foxes.
Well done ❤
awwwww. cuteness overload. :) well done!
Well done Simon and Lawrie ! So lovely to see the mother and ducklings relocated ❤️
so funny!! so flufy!! Thank you fot you job!!

Bedankt
It was like a home owner seeing their home for the first time, mumma duck said WOW, I think she was impressed
Awesome job guys!
Love your work
Hope they're safe from foxes. Perhaps they seek our help for protection from them.
Thanks on behalf of the duck family of 12! 😃👍
A lovely video. I really like how there's info on why you do certain things too, it's interesting to learn how you work in order to avoid the parents abandoning the babies.
I LOVE what you do!!!
Good job 🙏🦆🐤
