You know I’m gassed for this series!! Cmon bro 🙌🏼 Peep the N1 music in the back going harddddd! Rate the video bro. This is exciting to see the final product of the car 🔥
Aye up lad :) Nice video liked the music, the static camera works well for this kind of video, better than blurry video from cameras moving about too fast all the time. Look forward to following along with the project mate. Can you get hold of a dealer manual for that engine? I managed to get one for Honda K20 engine and it was a MASSIVE help when I did my engine swap :)
@@MrChadwick317 I don't know what the actual term is, maybe, workshop manual. It's the massive document issued to main dealers for each model. I have them for all the 6th gen Civics and the K series engine.
@CAPTAINS VLOG the manual gearbox that actually came on this engine is super expensive if you can even find one, so im getting a custom flywheel with adapter plate for e46 gearbox as its around the same price and easier
@@MrChadwick317 I don't mean the gearbox, I'm on about the written document that shows all the dealer processes and torque specs etc, think of it like a special Haynes manual that only got sent to main BMW dealers. Any model that had that engine will have all the information in it. I used the honda ones to identify what hoses did what, which ones I needed to keep etc. Also helpful when it came to rebuilding as it had all the steps for bolt tightening patterns etc etc. Just really handy to have around.
It's not better try fit this engine with x5 sump and just modified subframe. That way engine will seat forward back better for handling. And you can save money buying admand sump. Spend money buying adapter plate with flywheel and then m57 5 speed gearbox

I would love to colab with you. I'm doing this same build in a more tropic climate. Would love to bounce some ideas off you!
find me on instagram my friend @sam46_mkii
Willing to start the exact same swap on my e46 and can't find a detailed process hope we get more videos

What transmission are u using? N do u use an adapter

ive been looking into the po performance flywheel and clutch kit adapters :)
How do you modify the subframe to make the engine sit further back ? Is there a kit for that?
Just one vid on this?
Excited to see this build. Quick question do u plan to use the e46 ecu or are u swapping the electronics for the m62 into the e46 also?
