Thank you so so much for sharing this! 360 days sober. 32 years of binge drinking thinking it was normal. It was surprisingly easy to quit because I was so tired of it. Drinking was a habit that didn't make sense anymore. I was thinking a lot about what life would be like without it, especially health wise. The biggest stand outs for me are diminished anxiety, my memory, and mood. Way more even keeled. I also went ketovore so I don't know how much that plays into everything. Take your health back it's a good time! Thanks for your vids I have watched since the beginning.
Just hit 365 days away from alcohol and I don't see the point in doing it ever again. Alcohol is poison and I can't view it any other way now. Thanks for the informative videos Jay!
I recently completed a six-week stretch without alcohol-the longest I’ve gone in over 20 years. I felt amazing, but then I got a bit too confident and started drinking 24-48 beers on the weekends. That quickly turned into drinking on Mondays, sometimes Tuesdays, and before I knew it, I was back to Friday through Tuesday. So here I am, back to day one of being sober! Every day without alcohol is a victory, so I'm focusing on just not drinking TODAY. When I wake up tomorrow, I’ll start with the same goal. It’s wild I still want to drink because I feel so much better in every way when I don’t drink. The first hour might be fun, but after that, it’s a downhill slide, and there’s always a price to pay afterward.
@@Joe_Joe_The_HvacMan That's a lot of liquid my guy 😂 Isn't it funny that we would never drink 48 twelve ounces bottles of water over a whole weekend. But we'd do it with beer...

Hi Jae. Thank you for yet another excellent video. Just want to let you know that this coming Saturday (8/31) I will be sober for an entire year. I still have that same old (no doubt stale) 12 pack of White Claw in my fridge. I keep it now to smile at the demon. ❤

On the ass end of another taper. Today is 2 and tomorrow is 0. Usually drank 8-10 a day. Always airplane shooters so I could count my drinks easier.
1,151 days sober! (3 years, 1 month, and 24 days). What I've learned about alcohol abuse is that it messed up my heart rhythm and my digestive system over the years. Doing much better, but still have to watch out for the high blood pressure.

I wish there was more about early sobriety and relapse because I get very discouraged by all of the people who have hundreds of days or years of sobriety. It’s like I can’t even imagine what that is like
@@lpsglitterpaws8536 There are hundreds of videos on the Sober Again channel. There are titles with the words early sobriety included. When I gave up drinking, I started to binge marijuana, and I vaped an OZ of flower in a couple months. After I ran out of dope in a non legal state, I stayed sober for another few months but succumbed to drinking at some family gatherings and soon was able to put down a sixer of strong ale every couple of days. All my crappy consequences of drinking returned and I realized it was time to get sober…again
Dump it down the toilet. Get lots of liquids in the house - club soda, tonic water, juice, broth, jello. Be kind to yourself. Let yourself rest. Keep a notebook for milestones. Take a walk every day. Mix sodium bicarb in water at bedtime. Make plans and keep them.
Turn off the phone and unplug.. First few days are the hardest for sure. Keep a journal using paper of cravings and feelings etc. Hope you have someone who can help support you who isn't an enabler. I'm on day 45 which is my longest ever streak. For me being antisocial with support from my wife was vital. Obviously still very cautious about places I'll go and who I'd hang out with now. It gets a lot easier once you build some momentum but I also keep track of cravings like Jae says in a past video and that helps keep me accountable
