- There are certain things you absolutely NEED to do in Destiny 2 before The Final Shape expansion drops on June 4th. Many weapons are going away, many currencies are changing, and overall there are important things you should do in order to prepare for the big finale of Destiny's first saga. Regardless of if you're a casual, a hardcore vet, or someone trying the game for the first time, here's the comprehensive checklist of everything you need to do before Final Shape. Enjoy :)

You'll also want to keep exotic engrams and save up as many as possible so that you can decrypt them after TFS and increase your rank with the new Rahool rep system and focusing!

1. uninstall the game
PSA: please don’t craft subjunctive with subsistence, it makes the gun worse when paired with voltshot as voltshot requires a reload, but subsistence is trying to make you reload less. Instead craft it with threat detector as that will decrease the time it takes to reload when enemies are nearby (which they will be if you are using an smg)
Legend and higher tier content would like a word with you
I've been using stats for all instead, since you're always proccing voltshot you'll almost always be damaging enough enemies to maintain the buff
Wish subsistence would proc on reload effects. Would make it S Tier ngl

@@fenrisfafnir6490 Reload speed is king in higher end content VS an extra 4ish bullets to shoot at enemies that take two or three times the amount to kill.

@DirtyCubanMIA Well, if it helps, bungie has implemented a lot of quality of life changes over the past few months with more to come in the Final Shape. More importantly, Bungie is also "un-sunstetting" all items from the past. If you have a vault full of sunset gear that you love, you'll be able to use it all again when the final shape launches.

The removal of stuff is starting to get a little insane. When they removed resources there was basically no reason to head to patrol sectors anymore

Some really weird takes here. Season of the deep was not all bad weapons, until its return is a fantastic shotgun and is very much worth getting the patern for. Subsistence makes no sense on subjunctive since you'll want to reload a lot, use stats for all instead. Overflow is a much better option than slice on scatter signal
True, I would even say don't go Voltshot on Subjunctive except if you're playing stricly solo cause Nano-munitions, which is a really good origin trait, doesn't even proc if you're constantly reloading. I use Subsistence + Golden Tricorn and you got bullet for days and high DPS.
Honestly agreed man. I got a Bug-out bag with incandescent, subsistence and I love it so much. Racked up 5k kills on so quickly lol
I think this dude just sees a perks he likes the most and doesn't care about real synergies, which is 100% f up here sometimes.
Slice is for the artifact mod where you do more damage to strand/stasis debuffed targets when radiant

Prodigal Returns, from season of defiance is probably the best thing in that season. Disorientating grenades + voltshot is a very weird combo, however, when arc is on the artifact, it synergizes surprisingly well. Things either die or they are blinded and stand there doing nothing and drooling on themselves. But when arc isn't on the artifact, I find myself using other blind gl's with auto-loading and just use them to blind and swap to other weapon for damage.
I went with disorienting danger zone.
Also disorienting with disruption break is good. Autoload ofc. Empty Vessel for example.
So I get Pantheon is for those that are bored but it's really only for people who raid constantly and have really good partners. People like myself will not benefit from that limited event as I don't have time nor the understanding of the mechanics involved with raids or dungeons, my clan carried me definitely for any that I participated in lol
I feel you. I’ve played on/off since D1 launch and I’ve only done Kings Fall, VoG, and a few dungeons. Raids are super frustrating and it’s unfortunate because they drop the best loot.

Great vid but the only thing I would add is when you was talking about the exotic armor & weapons quests you should get to the final step then get rid of them. When final shape drops turn in bounties then turn in quests. Quests are xp++

For scatter signal, you do not want slice, always go overflow + controlled burst.
You also DO NOT AT ALL want subsistence + volshot. Sub works against voltshots need to reload. Go with threat detector.
Shoot to loot is also goated
Totally use slice
Stats for all is my personal favorite on subjunctive, voltshot combos really well with it due to the very fast reload, and the jolt triggers stats for all easily

i would suggest stats for all or threat detector on subjuntive to pair with voltshot over subsistence since you have to reload to proc voltshot. Although I havent tried subsistence it seems like it would work against you.

New player, and this was handy because you showed where i go for certain item's..im still abit confused on some stuff but thats the learning curve. I mostly find out things by trial and error to, but if im really dumbfounded then youtube and channels like yours really help. At moment on level 4 nearly on level 5 just need to do a couple more rounds of the lightfall vanguard mission with those three pillers i can never jump lol, thankfully no player has been annoyed with me plunging back to my unlived self. I think they know how hard the jumping mechanics are for new players so are patient. I do need a good clan though with friendly players, im 53 so some older players would be cool but not nessecery, i get on with everyone..or try.
I’m an older player too (and friendly 😄)...I’ve been playing on/off for a good while, but still find a lot overwhelming and too much to do in the game! The clan I’m in isn’t large, but some of them seem friendly enough. Lemme know if u want to play sometime…
The jumping in this game is infuriating honestly. It has not given me a single second of joy or accomplishment. Just wastes your time. I have never understood it, been playing since D1 beta.
Re: Subjunctive - Subsistence actively works against voltshot, giving you ammo back when you want to be reloading frequently to trigger the jolts. Go for Stats for All or Threat Detector instead.

Oh also for subjunctive I would not recommend subsistence with voltshot. Threat detector or stats for all would be the way to go.

I’ve been barely playing this year of light fall but I’m knuckling down and doing at least the stuff that’s going away when final shape drops. I just got my wicked implements/catalyst today. Gonna work on wish season stuff next.
Highly recommend royal executioner from season of the defiance. It can run with envious assassin and reservoir burst which is godly put together.
Reservoir burst when the magazine is at capacity (7/7) it does 25% more damage and enemies explode on death. Envious assassin give the gun up to 17-ish shots in the magazine which means 10 of those shots will have reservoir burst active. Truly an under rated gun.
Great video Shadow! I would also like to add something about the special delivery kiosk beside the gunsmith. Make sure you have your Amazon Prime account and twitch account linked to your Bungie account on their app or website. You have to allow for permission. Then you go to twitch and find the rewards or loot page and go to Destiny 2. There should be an option to claim rewards and these get sent to the kiosk in the tower. You may get other rewards besides these but I'm not sure. Hope this helps!
Being a new player already overwhelmed with the game, hearing alot of "wont be obtainable anymore" feels really bad.
It's kinda a lot for newer players to wrap their heads around since so much is going away but once you start getting into the flow of things it won't be so bad

Just some feedback for the new season xp boost:
make sure you have blinding light lv6 on your ghost
and
fireteam up with someone on lv 5 before popping those bounties.
This guide was amazing, helpful, and to the point. Along with my private mod menu, will help me to get to level cap even quicker and get all the exotics even faster
13:20 The taken sniper from Season of the Deep is actually incredibly good. 35 zoom, craftable, with double accuracy perks. If you like rapid fire frames, I highly recommend it.

I’ll be honest I picked up an appetence, with out a good roll and I fell in love currently grinding for the crafted version
Another amazing Last Wish weapon is the bow, not a boss damage option, but it IS amazing for damn near everything else, Incandescent & Dragonfly is an amazing combo, basically legendary Sunshot.
I’d also recommend grabbing some Paraversal Hauls from Dares as they give out Legendary or Exotic gear to quickly increase your light level

I don’t know if this is still how it works but back in the day, it was smart to grab 7 vendor bounties and complete an 8th after the expansion drops to get the powerful reward. If you do 8 bounties from the previous expansion it would drop at the previous expansion power cap

Season of the deep get the shotgun. U can get cascade point and overflow on it making it similar burst to 4th horseman.
At the Exotic Armor Quest section at 14:02, you forgot to mention this hidden quest that randomly popped up in your inventory when Into The Light dropped. I forgot what the name for the quest was called but you had to get like kills with abilities and super. For Titans you got Wormgod Caress and for Hunters and Warlock I haven’t checked yet. Just wanted to throw it out so people don’t miss this
Get the "until its return" shotgun crafted. Its SO GOOD

From season of the deep i think thin precipice is actually a really good sword for clearing adds you should give it a shot
Remember to unlock all exotic armors to open up your options. I know I am lazy too and miss a few legend lost sector exotics lol. Remember to grind them so you get more options.
Having too many Vanguard emblems? For those who have enough blinding nade launchers, spend them on Wild Style. If you still lack ALH + blinding nade rolls, spend them on Empty Vessel.
Remember as long you reset Vanguard at least once, they can spawn double or sometimes even triple perks per column.
99 Vanguard emblems can roll 33 GL and each only cost 5K. For a mere 10 legendary shards, you get 10K glimmer back. So spend away.

*Some* bounties may be replaced, but we do not know anything about Pathfinder yet. I am very interested in learning more though

I hope we get a TWAB with a list of exotic perks that will be available for the exotic class item that we can plan which exotics are worth keeping. I dont think they will make all old exotics "worthless" by adding all exotic perks to the system but it would be great to have to a list which ones getting "worthless" cause why would you want to play cenotaph for example when you can get cenotaph + veritys brow together?
The exotics won't be useless. Because the exotic class items only take about half of the exotic perk.
So the base exotics will still have a very good advantage.
@@theremnants6807 It highly depends on how bungie will do it and thats why i want a list. For example taking the "Weapon ready and reload very quickly" part of ophidians (missing the AE part like they did show in the stream) + sprint/slide increase of transversive steps (missing the reload part) would still make the best the by far best pvp exotic for warlock. But on the other hand if they nerf it from 35handling/reload + 6,5% sprintspeed/slide distance to like 20 handling/reload and 4% sprintspeed/slidedistance it would be way worse than the 2 orginal exotics. Bungie has to hit the sweetspot with every combination or either the 2 exotics get worthless or the class item combination is worthless

If i were you (as i took a 1-2 hiatus also) just focus on prepping for next season. Dont worry anout the gear, just prep bounties and currencies. If you are casual and don’t need to optimize for the highest end content, you will get plenty of good weapons wirh the Final Shape.
I mean, the Power floor is getting raised to 1900 at the launch of Final Shape, if I'm not mistaken. So the power boost from Gift of the Thunder Gods is only relevant for right now. Granted it is still necessary tonotger things in the right now, but it's not like 1810 power is going to be an advantage after launch
The number one thing I did was unlock strand for my other two characters I never use. Seemed like a pretty good start.
Next goals are to max out the treasure hoard rank and hall of champions rank. But this requires Helldivers to stop being fun and I dont see that happening any time soon.
The brave arsenal quests do nothing for getting a good shinny one even then the drop rate is somewhere around 5% and all of mine have been to the weapon im not attuned to with bad rolls

With vendors like Shax, Zavala, and Drifter, you want to only get 7 of the bounties ready. If you pop 8 from the previous season, you could end up with a necessary powerful drop not being at a higher level. But if you have 7 and then get the 8th at the start of the next season, completing it will give you the powerful drop at the vendor.
Both the strand sword and hand cannon from deep were pretty decent

Yeeeeaah. I haven't played since 2018, but I did start Destiny on the launch day for D1. So, I guess Im back. Already grinding out onslaught.
5:36 im sorta new to destiny 2 and id like to know what the two linear fusion rifles are named whilst using solar subclass. I like the damage you outputted so id like to know what its called.
I wish- No pun intended- Wish Tokens weren't so limited.
I *immediately* got Swarmers, then an Apex, then 5 Heavens for the guaranteed pattern. (I don't have the raid and even if I did they are excessively tedious if you're a returning player.)
I slapped explosive arrows and scorch spread on Heaven, then used it for like two more missions before I immediately dropped it for Wish Keeper.
Do I still have a solid solar mob clearer? Yes. But that's 5 tokens worth of rewards just sitting in my vault now because I didn't think I'd get an exotic bow token-free in the same quest line.
It is what it is, though. Can't learn from your mistakes if you never make any. 🍷🗿
OMG, Not even gonna lie. I've been playing Destiny since Alpha test (yes Alpha), I have over 2500hrs on D2 and much more on D1 (before leaving it) and gonna say I don't even know what's what anymore. I know that's not a ton of hours but it's not nothing and there's still so much to do and track and just completely lost. Maybe it's time to hang up my ghost shell. I haven't pre-ordered The Final Shape (making it the first DLC I don't get) and feel like it's starting to feel like a job. I just want to log on kill some stuff and not waste my time trying to figure out what's what and how to proceed with the next step. Also, even though I love my Whisper of the Worm and remember how happy I was to get it the first time, why do I need to go get it again? I've noticed we have to keep re-doing missions to get weapons we got previously and not a big fan.

For Scatter Signal's PvE godroll craft, you do not want Slice. You want Overflow.
Double mag size and autoloading for gaining ammo.

For subjunctive you want threat detector so you can reload to proc volt shot
for harder activities which where you should use it cuz its not that good for damage you do want slice
Both are great options and have their use. I vastly prefer slice when I'm not just ammo dumping for dps

2. Overflow is superior due to the fact that in high end content (raids/dungeons) all of your weapons should be for DPS, overflow makes reloading needed less often during DPS which when looking at DPS it’s not always how much damage you can perform but how **fast** and how **consistently** your shooting at a boss. Overflow removes that need for the first 14 shots and with it being a rapid fire frame the reload is still very fast especially with the crafted enhanced reload speed
BTW: They weapons are not going away, you just won't be able to get the adept version anymore, the weapon if you still want it and don't mind the regular version, will be in the legacy tab of the vendor at the tower, like saint 14, Zavala, drifter, and shaxx

I was under the impression that after TFS, raid banners would be free and no longer stored on your guardian, and just planted out of thin air. I remember going thru I think one of the beginner stages of creating a new character, that explained raid banners will be free? But maybe I misunderstood it?

I unfortunately don't know half the raids atm and I'm debating learning them by trying to find a clan full of casual and chill ppl willing to help bo matter what or holding off until pantheon since they said they were gonna chnage the mechanics a bit.
Yep I don't raid much so I really onmy know deep stone, VoG, RoN, and Kings fall although I could use a refresher on those. I refuse to touch Last Wish snd Vow, nothing against them but even if I never beaten them I can tell they are extremely irritating.

Just saying that on subjunctive using subsistence and voltshot is just straight up bad because subsistence stops you from reloading or if you do reload it has no use.
(Context: 15:04 ) Unlocked the Apex Predator blueprint but no one told me I need Forsaken to craft it, at least I got Pyrogale with **** stat roll that doesn't matter anyway because it stands as exotic swap. 💀💀💀💀
