Meteorologist - the only job where you can be 100 % wrong & still get paid the big bucks. Lol. Have a great weekend, Dave. Stay safe out there.
Hi David. Looks like you are a master of all things at the dealership. Love your natural style on your videos. Saying hi from Maryland and looking forward to more fun videos. Take care (your Mom's cousin Bob here!)
Tell you what, this Bolt handles VERY well in the snow. Better than most other front wheel drive cars I’ve had.
Dave you still cracked me up. First you're the dealerships porter moving cars around, now you're installing accessories on the vehicles. Will the madness ever end?
Haha, I'm above no job.. I get things done
Don't forget he p!ows the snow, hopefully he will own the dealership some day.
@@DaveBsellsChevyI love it Dave you know how to do a lot there at the dealership
When it's your sale, you do whatever it takes to make the sale a number on the board.
I always lease my cars .I live and work in the same town and I like keeping my car while it’s under warranty. I think. Leasing is the cheapest way to buy a new car.
I might return to your store to purchase/lease the 2024 Traverse once the lease is over in August. Although hesitant because wasn't happy how your store handled the water problems I had with the Traverse. Here's a vehicle I leased with intention to buy before having continuous water problems and I was told it was a bad design so I was hoping your store would do the right thing and compensate for the problem but all I got was if I purchased the truck I would have extended warranty for an extra $20 a month. So I left and now lease a Kia.
A purchase is mostly better then renting a car with a lease (you have an asset)
It depends…..
I've Been thinking about becoming a salesman, and your videos were a part of the inspiration! Although I wouldn't be selling Chevy, these videos are some of the best to be able to see the inner workings of a dealership!
Dave you have made good points on lease vs buying. I personally think buying is better than leasing. I always keep one newer car (1 to 3 years old) and one older with no payment.
I remember when I was out on a Saturday and it was just supposed to be snow flurries. 5 hours and about 6 inches later, I got home from a lunch date at dinner time. All I know is that if the ground is cold, there's standing water and the temps go below freezing, there's a good chance of ice.
Stay warm my friend. Awesome show Thanks.
I had leased a 2018 Chevy Traverse from your store and I had asked to add in the cross rails as part of the deal and the salesman declined to do so interesting to see you added them into the deal. I returned the vehicle because I kept getting water inside the vehicle from the sunroof.
Haha. True about the weather !
I had two 90s cavaliers, both were trouble free cars , drove them for many thousands of miles.
The new 2025 Equinox looks nice and beefy
yeah Dave i always enjoy the dealership life video series.
I always enjoy watching your videos Dave so amazing and I work at Subaru and dealership life is best
Love your videos. I just bought a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV today with the new $7500 tax credit at sale, awesome deal and loving the car!
Awesome!! Congrats!
Loving the daily uploads
I live in the Nashville TN area. We got 6-8 inches of snow here. We got more snow in 24 hours than what we normally get in a season. We are not cut out for this mess.....😂
so the 33 inches we got at my place would be to much there lol. I wish I would only get 6 inches a season
We rarely get snow that amounts to anything. When it does it a inch or two and is gone in a matter of hours like it never happened.
The Weather Channel showed about a day of video in Alabama of people freaking out in the snow/ice.
@@1234cnlare you in laporte?
@@NWI_Steel no I live in northern NY state
I would consider a Tahoe Z71 in red. I just paid off my Toyota 4runner. I also have a 2015 Chevy spark with 53k miles.....I would sell it myself or trade it for a new Tahoe Z71 or Chevy Trax.
It's been in the low 30's, 20's and teens here in central NC and no snow. I'm so upset lol
Nice little civic in good condition
Yeah, Dave, let's see you...plow 😂
Dave I noticed your inventory is much stronger than a year ago . Also can you comment on EV sales . I noticed Ford is rethinking their aggressive EV role out .
Thoughts please …
when buying used, by 'certified used"... That way you get a warranty.
I like what they've done with the contrasting accents inside the new Trax. Was that Renegade that got traded FWD or AWD? just curious?
Should do a finance vs lease video with your finance manager and explain pros and cons might help buyers and viewers. As you said both have advantages.
Did that trax activ have an artificial engine noise when you were driving it into the cleanup bay?
Great editing on the cross bar segment!
👍👍
Being a weather forecaster is a great occupation. Tell me where in any other job can you be wrong 50% of the time and still keep your job.
Hey Dave, have you ever had a customer order a car or place a deposit on a car, agree to the out the door price of the car but then when the car comes in and they go to sign the paperwork and pay for the car, they try to say that they agreed to a lower out the door price and trys to make you discount the car to the out the door price they are trying to be at?
Technically to me cash on an older car is better but I rather have a new car with a loan while still investing for retirement. Life’s short so enjoy yourself while also responsibly saving for the future. All about balance. I keep my cars till they nickel and dime anyways
I lease Silverado 1500 with duramax was cheaper to lease then .will see what happens in 3 years your right it’s under warranty for me in my price range every month time
In Massachusetts we have a 6.25% excise tax which ruins alot new car deal because it adds so much to payments
Boy you do everything to get a deal done. Will the new salesperson be expected to install the crossbars? Of course, you had a height advantage for that task!
Greetings from Weston super mare UK. How’s wall tree doing and got a question. since covid bar stock levels what’s the biggest change you’ve seen working in the motor trade. Here working in the motor trade in the uk it’s been the acceleration of people moving jobs
Yeah, some people think they're smart about money but they're not. For people saying it's better to pay all cash for a vehicle - if GM offers 1.9% for 36 months, you're better off doing that versus paying all cash for the car because you should be able to hold onto your cash and get that back with your money in the market versus tying it up in a depreciating object.
The thing your forgetting that 250,000 is the rule for Honda and the extreme exception for GM vehicles
Fake News, There are thousands of Chevys that have already done that kind of mileage. I'm wondering how much mileage the HHR thats always in shot has.
@@davestvwatching2408 Again the rare exception. How many Hondas have to have major repairs before 250,000. Most GM vehicles will have had at least one major repair involving the engine or transmission before hitting 200000
Yep I don’t even pay attention to the weather people because last minute there’s changes. Last week they were supposed to be severe weather one day and all the schools shut down in my area and I’m like where is the severe weather?
Hey Dave B. what is your store's asking price for that '15 silver Honda ?!? Also, does Schumacher stand behind this Civic to be problem FREE ( ie; B to B Warranty) to a customer for 30 or 60 days ?!? 🚘🔍. 🤔. Many Thanks Yo !
I least a Chevy Trax 1 LT with two safety packages. First month and DMV only $425.00 a month 36 lease.
The only thing I don't like with a lease is that higher insurance coverage is required as opposite of a regular bank finance; there by increasing your monthly insurance premium payments.
The lag of the backup camera turning off after switching to drive is amusing
@Dave B sells Chevy: Question about leasing; I noticed some advertisements for leases greater than three years. Most domestic bumper to bumper warranties run for 36 months. What happens if something goes wrong in month 42? Is the customer on the hook? Is there extra coverage that can be purchased for the extra lease term?
You'd be on the hook for the repair and yes they do offer extended contracts to carry the warranty to the end of the longer terms
I ❤ ❄ 😊
I drive close to 20K per year so buying new works best, but usually at 10 years. My cars are very used.
the traverse isn't a truck, its a crossover suv
You left off that they can sell the Civic in three years and recover costs. That said, in Salt Belt state, I will never own a car. They salt tears them to pieces, and leasing has every advantage that you mentioned. Hopefully Colorados will have some good lease deals in a few years time.
That bit you're referring to is called a torx bit, not a star bit. Just FYI.
Iff you want longevity Toyota is the way to go
Ryan Hall is the best weather guy
swich jeep to chevy🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dave, they always forecast on the worst side, so you cannot say that you got into trouble because they didn’t warn you. Ken
Come on man! That Traverse is NOT a truck!
Lease never makes sense.. its like a never ending payment
Not if you choose to buy the car out at the end of the Lease. You know its history, it has relatively low miles and you know how/when maintenance was performed. Flip side is if you hate the vehicle, turn it back in and you're off the hook.
Leasing isn’t for everyone. Customers who typically lease don’t want to put a lot down and they get into a new vehicle every 2-3 years.
Send that Jeep right to auction.
Love the Trax, but I can’t with that weak engine.
The roof racks don't move??
No, they are in a fixed position on the Traverse
I can’t afford new cars anymore. Only used because they are so expensive. Idk how people afford 🐦⬛❤😂70,000
You are welcome to drive up to Montreal sir! We have enough snow for you to bring as much as you want back LOL
We also have our Car Show this weekend, come check it out!
With normal maintenance that Civic will still be on the road 10 years from now. The 2024 Trax will not. It’s made in Mexico where they do not have a good reputation for building quality cars.
Civic will have no problems for those 3 years while a brand new chevy will and up at the dealership after 2 months
Weres the videos ????? It's been awhile
It’s hard to predict anything if you think about it
So true
You must lead a charmed life to get 191,000 miles out of a Cavalier. Whether to lease a Trax or buy a 9 year old Civic? It depends on the individual. Me personally, I would rather buy the Civic because I only drive about 6,000 miles per year. I also have sources to get it repaired.
Would much better like a new Trax then a 9 year old civic
I always felt it was best to buy a used vehicle from that vehicle's own dealership. The reason? It's POSSIBLE the prior owner had lousy luck with the car and decided to go to a different brand whereas if you buy the car from a Honda dealership chances are they loved the brand and returned to it. This isn't always the case of course but something to keep in mind with any used car.
My 2001 Cavalier that I bought new and still own has 238,000K on it. Never touched the engine or tranny or hardly anything else. Super reliable vehicle. Not my daily driver anymore of course but I don't want to get rid of it.
@@stepheng3667
Again, you must lead a charmed life. That and you must have maintained the vehicle. I just got rid of a vehicle that I loved that was 17 years old. My wife no longer drives and we lost our parking spot for it so I sold it.
Once the Cavalier changed to the larger fuel injected engine in 1983 running one to 200K was pretty easy.
Ryan Hall on UA-cam is an awesome meteorologist.
The main difference between the old Honda and the new Trax is reliability. Those Honda civics are still on the road, eating up miles. Meanwhile, Chevy's reliability is a huge question mark. The real question should be, do you take the risk on Chevy's reliability? Or should we go with Honda's established reliability?
The only thing I trust from GM is their V8 and Duramax Diesels; any 3- or 4-cylinder or even an EV is hugely questionable.
I drove a Chevy cavalier to 191,000 with zero issues.
Dave...Weather guy get away with the forecast by always saying POSSIBILITIES of (Rain,Snow, Storms Etc..)..If I lived in Jersey I would definitely buy a car from you..BTW it's 65 today in Phoenix :)
It's funny how u call a crossover suv a truck but you call a truck a vehicle
Quit showing those Trax! You are making me weak in willpower. That Activ interior was sharp!
But you OWN the civic after 3 years. lol….typical sales guy math
Yea and at 12 years old probably over 100k it's not worth all that much
@@DaveBsellsChevy interesting debate new Trax Vs old civic. Used Id go for a GM 3.8L, probably Park Avenue because they often got babied by their first owners, if it had to be Japanese then gen 3 or 4 4Runner. Leasing a new Trax is a good value though, especially compared to a dodge (alfa romeo) hornet or a bronco sport.
Typical rip off scam artist salesman. Wants 13900, retail is 10700! SCAM ARTIST RIP OFF! DONT BUY!
lol
