To play devil's advocate, the M8A1 was based off of speculation from that time frame of the XM8 resurfacing and becoming the service rifle of the US military when the M7 is on-track to fill that role, so it might not make much sense to include it, at least as a default after-market part. Perhaps as a skin.

There’s not a gun on planet earth that has accuracy that’s that bad. Sure there are guns out there with terrible accuracy, but no gun shoots in a wide cone shape. Also, what sense does it make that your accuracy and range increases with shotguns when ADS as opposed to hip fire.

Sure, there are great medics out there, but no respawning. Also, what sense does it make that your soldier can run with infinite stamina?
