I swear Howland Reed is the Bloodraven of the north any theory to do with with the north probably will involve him in some way. he always manages to make an appearance in these videos like "here's the mandatory Howland cameo." crazy how we've never met the guy but he's still so important.
Howland Reed is such a strange character, I feel like getting to finally meet him in the books would be so wild. In his youth he was adventurous and brave, but quickly that changed and hasn't left his home in so many years. I wonder if there are any parallels between him and Lord Hightower, perhaps he's stuck to the Crannogs because he has magics to see what's transpiring outside his own domain. Or perhaps he's too traumatized to relive such horrors again, especially when Robb calls his banners. I have a feeling he will be a very tragic character to read about when we finally get to learn about him.
I think when Jon resurects, his sole focus will be on the Others, it seems that fire wights are stuck on the mission that they died failing to succeed. Beric went to fulfill neds command and bring order to the riverlands and stoneheart is dead set on revenge for the red wedding. Before Jons death his sole focus was preparing the nights watch for the Others invasion. Then again though his last vow before death was to march south and reclaim winterfell from the boltons. So it will be curious to see which vow his wightness pursues.
I think if Jon does get "resurrected" it will be through the power of the old gods, we've seen a fire resurrection and fire healing, we've also seen an ice resurrection, we've yet to see an old god's magic resurrection/healing, the outcome of that could be very different than the others, Tormmunds titles of Speaker to gods and Father of hosts is very interesting and also Val's very suspicious all white outfit given to her by Dalla raises some eye brows. We also know Morna the Woods witch just crossed over to the other side of the wall. Val seems to indicate in an earlier Jon chapter(when speaking of shireen) that woods witches are the experts in healing north of the wall.
I feel so bad for Jon. His life is so unfortunate and he deserves much better. I really hope that everything works out for him in the end. I can't wait to find out what all of his dreams mean and his significance to the story. The crypt dreams are soooo interesting. I like this theory.
Unfortunate how ? He lived a life better than some nobles the only thing unfortunate in his childhood that he didn't know his mother and Caitlyn was cold to him
This is such a great video! My only issue with Jon's resurrection taking place in the crypts, is that his body would be in such an advanced state of decay on the road from the Wall. In addition to the snows making the roads more or less impassable. Loved this video. Your channel is great!
@James-dn8dh ahhh god damn of course thank you haha. I'm still sure there's little to no point travelling the months it would take to get to winterfell though when you have the magic of the wall and red mel just down the hall way
@jakewilliamson8807 yeah I havent quite figured out why they would want to move his body all that way. The only thing i could think is if somehow stannis or the grand northern conspiracy find out about Robb's will and legitimizing jon and they send him there out of respect to be buried in the crypts. Thats the only reason I can think his body would somehow get there.
@@James-dn8dh I saw a theory years ago that suggested that the tunnels under the wall(known as the wormways) are also connected all the way to winterfell. I think thats a bit of a stretch but I do find the idea intriguing considering if the long night did last an entire generation, you would need a way to get around the north without freezing to death. Intriguing but unlikely.
Jon's and Jamie's dreams are my favorite. Love this video! I'd like to see you do a deep dive into Tyrion's dream where he has two heads going into a great battle.
The long night has become one long 12 year late afternoon 😂😂😂!!! Sam & Jon had that chat on the show, poor Jon is still bleeding out all over the Wall. Hopefully enjoying a 2nd life in Ghost.
The older Kings of Winter lie further in, don’t they? What if Jon or somebody goes further down than before. Whom will they find. The Night’s Kings Corpse Queen. Where Winter fell.
I wanted a dragon egg to be in the crypts so bad. I wanted to believe that when Jacaerys went to Winterfell his Dragon Vermax laid eggs in the deep bowels of the crypts in around the heated pools there slowly incubating them
Based on mushrooms comments in the world of ice and fire and the symbolisim describing the the hot springs and what Bran saw in Winterfell while in summer suggests that there could very well be a dragon in the north.
Vermax would've had to be tiny to enter the crypts. It's not a practical theory at all. Only works if an already laid egg was taken into the crpyts & left by presumably a Targaryen. Which itself makes no sense.
@jt5765 The Crypts aren't that small and strech a wide way you gotta remember the Starks have been burying their kings of old for thousands of years down there.
@@Argos-xb8ek they are described as only being accessible via a narrow & winding stone staircase. A dragon of any decent age & certainly one large enough to fly with a Dragonrider on its back is going to be too large to realistically enter the crypts.

Did Neds dad die before or after Lyanna got married? If it happened after, TECHNICALLY Brandon and Lyanna were king and queen for a time. So their statues under Winterfell are hella valid. lol
Well she isn’t the writer is she, and Grrm confirmed that he asked d&d who Jon’s mother was and he says in his blog post they got it correct, Jon’s parents are Rhaegar and lyanna keep coping
Exactly. Ned has DEEP secrets and broken promises as well. There was a baby switch that went down and Ned was part of it. During war the Targaryens hide their male heirs, and yes maybe Lyanna did have a child but it was NOT Jon. They say Jon looks like Ned only because he looks nothing like the Tully kids save for Arya. GRRM said he asked D&D who Jon Snow’s mother was and they guessed it right. This does not mean that it was Lyanna Stark. The show is only an adaptation. Jon is Aegon Targaryen, son of Elia and Rhagar. They say he was born in 281 and Jon somewhere around 283, but I guarantee you, there was some shady things that went down during the fall of the Targaryens. Catelyn sees the Dornish in Jon, but she thinks of “Ashara” when it’s Elia. Elia whom was also “wyalla”
I think Jon is a dragon seed divorce isn't a thing in westoros same with polygamy..... I do think Rhaeghar loved Lyanna but they didn't get married and that's OK.... Jon doesn't need to be king of westoros Although I'm very curious of what that revelation would mean for Jon specifically at the end of the day he is Ned Starks son...
Technically Jon was legitimized by a king. Stannis offered to do it but Robb legitimized Jon and named him the heir to Winterfell. If he did find out later that he was actually a Targaryen I wonder if that would be legit.
@jaredwat8478 Robb legitimised Jon and named him heir to Winterfell. If there was a secret wedding like on the show then Jon is a Targ and therefore Robb can't legitimise him so arguably he can't claim WF in that scenario. But if there was no secret wedding then Jon's still a bastard and who his parents were isn't relevant to Robb's actions.
@@alexmoes3225 Jon's parentage is still relevant because rob ligetamized him as a stark but Jon isn't a stark so he can't claim winterfell in that context .
@thatoneblackdude3333 he would not claim WF based on his Stark heritage tho. if King Robb issued a royal decree naming Jon heir it doesn't matter why Robb did it, Jon just is the heir. Robb as king has divine right to make anyone he wants heir, he could name Edmure or Gregor or Moonboy. Jon's parentage makes his claim weaker or stronger when he tries to enforce Robb's decree but it is not the critical factor.
It has to be said that we take a lot of liberties when it comes to calling people Starks blackwoods, Targaryens and so on when they are only part from their matrilineal side, yes they have the blood, but that doesn’t make them part of that house, otherwise Robb would be a Tully (and he certainly looks like one) but he isn’t the heir to Hoster as the eldest child of Hosters eldest Child, this all comes back to marriages, patrilineal ones to be specific. My point is that if Jon is anything he’s a Targaryen assuming that Rhaegar Married Layana in secret, otherwise he’s just a bastard, not a stark, same way Benedict Rivers (who was part Bracken and Blackwood) crated hose Justman and became his own man, rather than being identified as a Blackwood or Bracken
Hoster Tully has a son so of course Robb is not going to be considered the heir to Riverrun. However had Edmure Tully died earlier in the series Bran would have become the heir to Riverrun as the second son of the oldest daughter. Robb and Robin would still be their father's heirs and inherit Wonderful and the Vale respectively.
@@DaGamer_Bee But Edmure had a kid so even if he was killed at the red wedding his son would take it, and I pick the red wedding as his earlier death point because before that there was no scenario where he would have been killed, except when he was captured by Jaime but as we see in Feast, Jaime’s knows the value of a prisoner and wouldn’t actually kill an heir
@@DaGamer_Bee also Brynden is still around to take Riverun and as we saw he had no problem taking it from his litera Tully nephew to safe guard it, so Bran would be treated in the same manner
That wolf belongs to Sansa Stark. Grey wind is definitely dead. They cut his head off and put his head on Rob. No coming back from that. Sansa’s wolf is the only one buried at Winterfell and described as having sad eyes.
It wasn't Jon that was stabbed. It was Tormond glamored as Jon. Jon is alive. Which puts a weird spin on the end game.
