3:28 Capone: "Where'd you get that moustache from?" 3:29 Smiles: "Ah boss ..." I almost laughed laughed out loud when I heard these scenes and my stomach was about to burst.
@@JeffreyKitsch One thing I'm curious about. I know the Tomspons weren't in the original source since they weren't created at the time. But what role do you suppose they would've played if they were added to the adaptation?
Thank you Jeffrey, u r so good !When I saw the movie on UA-cam I had thought that the comic The Adventures Of Tintin -Tintin in America only has that much of adventure but thanks to you for telling us the difference between the movie and the cartoon. From-Subhashini
I always thought this was one of the weakest episodes, namely because they cut out so much stuff that it was practically not even the same story anymore. I understand the concern over how the Native Americans were depicted, but it's nowhere near as bad as in Tintin In Congo. There was some thoughtful insight into how they are treated with so little respect, and their home was basically just seen as a feeding ground for making money. So in all, while there's some very nice suspense just like in the comic, it lacks a lot of the substance the original story had.
Yeah unfortunately it was a time when racism in media was much more normalized. Sadly nothing much changed after the civil war as while it's frowned upon in media, racism is still very much normalized in real life due to right wing conservative bigots having too much power.
@@supermariof0521 yeah there’s a blue coloured boxset with two episodes on each disk, they put them in book order. I think it’s pretty easy to find, I recall my teacher had the collection and when I went through my Tintin phase my parents were able to find the same collection
So with this being the last episode of Tintin, wouldn't this make the show set in 1931/1926-1931 (Herge did say Tintin aged 4-5 years regarding his age)?
While it's a pity that some things were not included (Such as the runaway train, Mike MacAdam and the pirate mobsters), I perfer the TV adaption over the original.
Why three 30 minute episodes? Probably because the show has 13 episodes per season (and the show has 3 seasons in total). Six comics get two episodes each and One another comic gets the chopping block. Why 13? It's the number of episodes that the network probably ordered in one season as the standard at the time. Thought why wouldn't make an exception for Tintin to make it even numbered? Idk, I'm not that familiar with the behind the scenes stuff.
Ah this brought back memories, one of reading the paperback in the early 90's and two of the TV adaption. as always, great stuff 👍
3:35 i just noticed some cars change colour
"Where'd you get that mustache from??"
Made my day.
0:36 the land of the Soviets will be public domain next year, so will Tintin

What's that audio quote at 3;28 from.

Eh... I think a lot of the cuts helped the story be paced in a better way without dragging anything out.
Why isn't this moment included in this episode!? 7:14
Thought you stopped uploading, then I checked and I had notifications off.... well anyways this is good!
Wow I never knew how racist the very old timtim comics were.

Red Dead 2 looks weird
I've Might Go And Get The First Ever Tintin Comic Book One Day. Thanks Mate. X
Nice use of the Marx Brothers and the contract scene from "A Night at the Opera".
If the books were done in the original order, I’d still be impressed, even if it does have several continuity problems.
Thankfully the most easy to get boxset of the series has them in book order
@@mrcritical6751Oh?

nice video man, I love Tintin.
It's probably the scariest/saddest
7:22 that's literally dark for a kids comic

I personally think that the book was overly long and boring
And that the episode was better off with the removed Indian part and shorter ending
All tintin episode are different to books it’s really weird
The only thing that would have made this better would be if Thomson and Thompson were in it.
Or captain haddock, they are the one that solds tintin for me more
What role do you suppose they could've played?
can i ask is Jeffrey Kitsch from england or America?
I was born and raised in Scotland but I've now lived in England for 9 years. My dad is African and my mum is English.
noice
