0:01 I've Got The Second Tintin Comic Book The Adventures Of Tintin In The Shooting Star From The Tintin Shop In Covent Garden In London In England In The United Kingdom Just Before Disney's Frozen The West End Hit Musical At London's Wonderful Theatre Royal Drury Lane In London's Glittering West End In The Capital City Of London In England In The United Kingdom Last Year Back In March 2022 As My 29th Birthday Celebrations And It Was Super Awesome. Thanks Mate. PS This Comic Book Was First Published In 1942 The Same Year As Disney's Bambi Came Out In Theatres As Well As Part Of Hollywood's Golden Age During The Second World War From 1939 To 1945 During The 20th Century. I'm A Huge Tintin Fan As Well Too. X
As you said, the original adversaries of the Aurora expedition are Americans. But the origins of the different scientists are also a sign of WWII. There's a German and four other scientists from "neutral" European countries: Spain, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland. The "good" Europeans vs the "evil" Americans. The plane used by Tintin is an Arado Ar 196, a German plane used to destroy allied submarines.
Great video! On Herge's antisemitism, I recently learned that the original black and white version of the comic contained a deleted panel with 2 jewish caricatures happy that the world was going to end so they wouldn't have to repay a small debt. If the bad guy of the comic can be kind of ambiguosly jewish, those 2 are really drawn like those WW2 nazi propaganda posters, which is kind of baffling to see in a Tintin comic.
THE SHOOTING STAR!, My favourite book of tintin, Love your video Jeffrey!
I remember this being my fav book out of the tin tin series.

We’ve been robbed, Snowy pissing on a lit fuse would have improved this adaptation 100%
I just love your Tintin videos!
Can’t wait for The Secret of the Unicorn!
I never would have guessed Buhlewinkle was Jewish given how weird most of the TinTin characters look.
Another great TinTin video, it’s great that your still doing these Jeffrey 👍
I often forget this album exists, because it's on this weird middle ground between The Crab with the Golden Claws and the Secret of the Unicorn.
Wedged between two of the most important Tintin stories of all time

I suppose the reason TinTin remained on the metor was so the flag couldn't be tampered with thus nullifying their claim
Great video!

a nice new video with tintin, and a exciting a story
I've been wondering about those mushrooms for years. Thanks!
it was a piece of symbiotes planet and the spider was venom
Despite the shorter length, the changes to the adaptation aren't quite as disruptive and jarring as Tintin In America.
you know that belvision also made an adaptation of The Shooting Star (or as they titled The Star Of Mystery)
7:00 Peter Griffin?
Lol I see it
This is worse than the time I worked for a Tintin villain
Perhaps an episode on Kayko and Kokosh? Would love to hear your opinion on that show :)
