Apologies for the long wait! This is my first time holding a premiere so it's a learning experience for me. I appreciate all your feedback as to how you prefer premieres be handled. It will be helpful if I do one again in the future!
These premiers might be cool to see live reactions of fans, but they really are annoying when they appear in the subscription feed and look very similar to a normal video. It's a buzz kill to be teased like that and leaves a negative taste in some users mouths. It also becomes a pain when the video is premiering and you don't come on at that second that the video starts anywhere but the beginning. If you are going to continue to do this, can you at least shorten the amount of time from preview to upload?
Personally I'd prefer no premieres at all. All it does is confuse me when I click on what I assume is a new video and then it annoys me when I have to wait several hours to see it.
"aside of holding hands to use their powers there isn't an original idea in this show". The Precure franchise already did that better ten years ago, so there are exactly zero original ideas in this show.
Actually, I was about to reply that I remember the same male and female lead need to hold hands or female lead dies from Double Arts in 2008. I guess it's even more common than that.

This anime is an inside joke for my anime club when I was still in high school. We were bored one day and decided to use the 'surprise me' button and we got this. We watched the first episode and it was a fucking ride. Everything you point out made us laugh at how bad it was. I spent my senior year as president of the club by saying, "Don't let go of my hand or I'll die." And we'd laugh.
As an animator myself, I feel bad for the people who worked on this show, spent days at a time working on every little detail in every frame, and the end result is just so bad
Yeah it's only good within a sexy yet semi comedic one shot manga context. As a serious a relationship story arch gets uncomfortable once the raw thrill wears off 😑 Or so I've heard 😰
With Jojo's the monologues are important most of the time and when they aren't they are compelling like when Kira talks about his want for a peaceful life

I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

"You're wrong! All that was good in that man, he passed it along to Jonathan, every bit of it! You can be sure JoJo's gonna live an upright life, using what his father gave him. Rich folks are rubbish. Watching 'em flounce around, I wanna throw the whole lot of them into the Thames! But not the Joestars. Doctor Speedweed Suppose that you were sitting down at this table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your ‘left’? Or the one on your ‘right’? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is ‘correct’ too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute ‘society’ with the ‘Universe’. The correct answer is that ‘It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.’ …Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there’s no choice but for others to also take the ‘right’ napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is ‘society’… Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is a Republic? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of ‘right or left?’! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the ‘losers’. In the case of this table, the ‘eldest’ or the ‘Master of the party’ will take the napkin first… Because everyone ‘respects’ those individuals.
i couldn't even watch this video without getting mildly nauseous so i really feel like i have to commend everyone who manages to get through this show without vomiting
So two teenagers have to partner up and fight... in an alternate plain of existence... so they can meet god... to escape death...? So what you're saying is that this anime is the garbage version of The World Ends With You
I'm surprised the main characters don't completely hate each other, from having to spend every second together, and hold hands constantly. I'm sure that must lead to difficulty with some basic every day tasks. Is there like a brief period of time they can go WITHOUT holding hands? What about taking a crap? Changing clothes? Having to sleep still in one position constantly? Maybe they address some of this, but jesus, even the most infatuated of new couples need SOME time apart and some privacy. 😂
The fight scenes kinda look like they watched Madoka's Witch Realm scenes and was like "Yeah, that's neat. Let's copy that. Should we study the context and meaning? ...Nah."
2:29 "The Handshakers battle in an alternate world called The Ziggurat with magical-bullshit weapons called Nimrods, but that's about all it does to stand out." Wait, how does naming their arena-world and their weaponry after words chosen completely at random from an ancient civilization or religion make them _different_ from other anime?
I love the Lovecraft joke at 15:27. It's pretty amazing, given that one of the great Lovecraft tropes is that "Great Old One" entities create impossible geometries in our world, like an MC Escher painting.
@@technodude458 He got the scale of the fucking universe correct to the millimetre in circle limit III, long before cosmologists did, so you might just be right.
I hate to say it, but after seeing so many anime that basically all follow the same animation rules in terms of backgrounds and such, I actually LIKED Hand Shakers unique, stylized look. It was such a breath of fresh air to see something that different. Unfortunately, it deserved better characters in a better story.
i kinda liked the surreal real world render cause its difficult to make something feel intentionally off-putting, it feels like the perfect setting for a psychologically introspective show, its generic but unique but aesthetic but garbage, its a hot mess that a hot mess of a character ought to live in. im thinking something like the spinning gears by akutagawa, the way he sees gears overlaid in his vision and agonizes over a cheap shade of pink that he moments before found soothing, his preoccupation with western authors and how he scrambles around with philosophical themes in an intellectual frenzy, how everything in the world feels wrong and how its striking his nerves and setting his mind on fire as he descends into madness and onto the course of suicide. something like that
Yeaa I personally liked the way that GoHands is able to put calmer music into battle scenes. Like it’s very melodic?? I agree the character designs are all v nice
Surma Wolfsoul that is true , I actually like the art , granted sometimes the cgi background contrast a little too much with the characters but when you ignore that , the always revolving camera angle in the fight scenes aren’t bad and some fights scenes are fluid and impressively animated
I think what I hate the most about this series' aesthetics is that it's *almost* gorgeous. Like... the gradients and god-rays are definitely too much in some shots, but I actually really like the sleek, glossy aesthetic and the pseudo-pastel cool color palette that most of the show has. There's a number of shots that actually look pretty cool by virtue of the colored linework all but disappearing and lending this airy, ethereal vibe to the characters. The rainbow gradient effects actually look nice to me some of the time; it reminds me a lot of K, which I never watched all the way through, but I always thought was very pretty to look at. The character designs themselves aren't that bad, and I actually really like the uniform designs; there's a sort of rustic feel to the girl's ivory blouses that I genuinely think is cute. I'm also quite fond of the big, multi-faceted kaleidoscope eyes that the characters have, and I'm always a sucker for hyper-detailed renderings of hair and eyelashes, which this show actually manages to nail for me. That being said, it's all slapped together so haphazardly that none of the elements I do like get a chance to actually look good. When the rainbow-y color gradients would look really nice, they're getting drowned out by particle effects, when the character designs would be really appealing, they're completely overshadowed by the incompetent compositing with the 3-d backgrounds, and when the art direction would lead to some decent looking shots, they're completely demolished by the camera movements or the insane god-ray glare washing everything out. There's also a lot of really weird little details that I have to imagine were issues specifically with whoever drew their style sheets, because while the eyes are pretty in design, they're almost never placed convincingly on the face and give that early-2000s Clannad 'facemelt' feel, and the mouths constantly feel like they're just *slightly* shifted off-center and don't actually feel connected to the jaw. It doesn't help that none of the characters have any lips in any of the shots; makes it seem like their mouths are stickers that they just kinda slapped somewhere underneath the nose and called it a day. I honestly do appreciate the ambition the studio had in trying to make this, but I can also see that the team simply wasn't skilled enough to pull off the crazy ideas they had. Someone (probably several people) somewhere in the production pipeline should be fired for not stopping every single part of this show to say 'let's tone it down until we have the manpower, budget, and time to handle the more complicated stuff we want to put in this show'.
Agreed. The backgrounds are beautiful, and most shots look pretty good. Take a screenshot and most won't be able to tell what the big deal is. The main problem comes from the movements. They feel so fake and lifeless. Between the robotic movements and weird camera everything looks like a bad 3d animation even though it's in 2d. If everything looked bad it would be funny, but since it's almost gorgeous like you said, it goes into uncanny valley territory where half the time you can't even tell what exactly is wrong with the visuals.
"Move over, promise of uncensored tiddies, technical incompetence is the new wave in Blu-Ray marketing!" Not the phrase I expected to hear today, but nevertheless one I needed
The product placement as part of the worldbuilding truly makes Tiger & Bunny better, more alive and giving it a charm as you said. God, Tiger & Bunny is amazing
@@CursedCatTruffa Yeah, that was a nice twist. The products weren't just there, they actually held a purpose to the livelihood of the heros. I must have now seen the show about six times and all of this is making me want to rewatch it again, lol. After my current confused slogging with watching Tokyo Ghoul:re, I think I need an actually coherent and good anime to wash away that one, lol.
Oh that's what this is from? That explains why it looks like K if you removed 100 points in execution and then made the animation go from nice to "I swear to drunk I'm not god" vision.
I personally believe they just need a good writer for their plots. W'z, which is s2 of hand shakers, wasn't half as bad but was nothing special either. OST still rocks though
@Mark N I mean, whether K is considered good or not is up to debate, I personally thought it was fine. Yeah, the story is kinda confusing around the second half, but at the very least the animation looks nice and it has some pretty competent voice work (even the English dub isn't half bad, for what it's worth)
@@nitromagilou597 My biggest problem with K was the one Blue lady's fanservice, which was legitimately the worst fanservice animation I'd ever seen until very recently. But other than that, the story was fine, the animation usually looked good in motion and I loved most of the character designs.
So much of a mistake that the animators are asking for help in the credits. Can we get an F for the author of the light novel whose novel was butchered at the level of chinese manhuas/chinese cgi anime (Duoluo Dalu was fucking amazing if only the manhua and shitty cgi anime didn't massacre this great novel)
Kent Arnold It’s awful. From my extensive experience (of watching three episodes), it falls into every shitty trap a bad anime like it falls into. 1) Perfect Protagonists without flaws that EVERYONE fucking adores. Seriously, every single character interaction includes someone praising the shitty in-universe incest-fic as the greatest light novel ever written. 2) A shitty underdeveloped harem. Yeah, I only watched two episodes so I cannot truthfully say that they had no development, but it doesn’t matter. Wanna know why? Because they all act the EXACT SAME!!! They all have large breasts and constantly throw themselves at the protagonist (whom my friends have named Wazowski for some fucking reason). There is, in the same episode, with a few minutes of each other, an editor that calls Wazowski while she’s in the bath and started groping herself for “research,” and then later the artist of the light novel (who’s name is fucking ahagao, I cannot make this shit up) shows him ecchi drawings she drew of the brother and sister in the fictional light novel (that are identical to him and his sister which no one seems to think is weird, perverted, or disturbing in anyway,) in front of his *UNDERAGED* sister who, by the way, is IN THE FUCKING IMAGES SCREWING HER BROTHER. WHAT THE FUCK!!!! Also there’s another character that’s the writer of Wazowski’s favorite light novel that happens to be his biggest fan and also stalks him in order to become as great a writer as he. 4) Incest and Pedophilia. This speaks for itself. 5) Unnecessary lewd shots of every character. Seriously, I made it a running gag to say “that’s an unnecessary shot,” and screenshot the screen whenever their was a panty shot or a boob shot or anything like that. At completely random spots, the camera will “coincidently” place itself right behind the female characters skirt, with a fill view of their ass and panties. And I mean EVERY female character. Also 6) the animation sucks. Characters rarely stay on model, the key framing was done half-hasardly, the characters move like clay dolls without bones, and every character looks like it was ripped out of that “How to draw Manga characters” the weird girl in your middle school carried around everywhere. Then again, I’ve only watched 2 or 3 episodes. Who am I to judge. Maybe it becomes the greatest anime ever written and is a truly psychological piece analyzing the incredible harmful effects certain re-occurring tropes in anime produces, and the first episodes set up a satire of those tropes so they can tear them down and reveal their insidious results on the people watching. Or, more likely, it continued to be a complete piece of steaming shit and no one dared to watch it all beyond only the bravest few men. Who knows? Who cares? I sure as hell dont
I like the backgrounds; they remind me of visual novels. But pedophile pandering is one of the worst things any show can do, so I'm not that cut up about it being shat on.
K Project's second season is painful to watch, too. Weird panning and Awashima unhealthily contortioning is in the opening scene, and it gets creepier from there.
I could have lived my life blissfully ignorant of this show. Because of you that is no longer an option. I'd say you should suffer as penance for your crimes but you had to watch handshakers and have suffered enough.
Being FORCED to hold hands while they fight is actually an interesting idea. A lot could be nonverbally communicated, like roles in their relationship. One of them being more forced into an attack could communicate that they're more hesitant to fight, or that they're the less dominant of the two if they're following their partner's lead. Sad they didn't really communicate that.
8:50 wait... that perspective shot. The buildings are at one angle in the bottom left, but, the characters are tilted even harde- ahh... Owww. AAAHHHHHHH!!!
I dunno about WORST worst, but the best worst anime I've ever seen is Valvrave the Liberator from 2013, which has had a near six-year reign as my all-time favorite bad anime. I've made multiple people start snorting derisively just by describing the premise, that being "angsty teenage body-swapping space-vampire mecha pilots fight to save their space high school, which they've declared an independent country". There was an honest debate back when it was airing about whether or not it was intended to be a parody, and until the staff got butthurt and made everything GRIMDARK out of spite in the second season, there was no definitive answer. It's basically perfect MSTing material.

Ooh! I'm digging this "search for the greatest mistake" series! I haven't seen them myself, but my sister and her husband, who are pretty good anime critics, tell me that "Knights and Magic" and "In Another World With My Smartphone" are some of the worst ones they'd ever seen.
those may be bad to some extent but its mainly just the its another isekai with a kind of pretty bad story, if you want really bad anime tho try "Dies Irae" or "Glasslip" as well as "Guilty Crown" all of which are not isekais but still really bad
@@kagehipinette2335 Those are some very bad anime, but I can't stand by and watch poor defenseless Guilty Crown get bashed without mentioning its kickass soundtrack. Alright, that's all I have to say, pretty much everything else about those shows is terrible, including the Smartphone anime. I'd also like to add fuel to the fire, by suggesting a fifth *terrible* anime, Dimension High School. All I have to say about that is that they switch between anime and real life, and oh my god why does everything clip into everything?
@@kagehipinette2335 Dies Irae was a good (not great, but still quite good) Visual Novel. But the Anime sucked. It took away any depth and did not have good visuals. You can find it on Steam, Dies Irae Amantes Amentes
What is the worst anime you ever seen? No, I'm not talking about SAO season 2 or Eromanga-sensi, I mean an anime so bad, so fundamentally broken, that it leaves a pit in your stomach or makes you feel frustrated and angery beyond any reasonable measure. This is a question I've been asking myself for a while, and I think it's time to do something about it. So I've pulled the list of the bottom 100 lowest rated anime on ANN, and I'm going through them one by one to find the worst anime ever. Welocme to Anime's Greatest Mistake
The Seventh Sense of the Reunion. The characters are unrealistic beyond belief to the point where I'm certain that they suffer from some debilitating mental disorder that leaves them in teenager bodies with the minds of toddlers. The plot is also completely nonsensical, involving insanely broken superpowers that have no rules, an impossibly broken game, and the disturbing premise that people in the game want to enslave a real human child into their guild to become number 1. I can't describe this series in more than two sentences without the word "broken", because there's no other way to talk about it.
Pfft I think you could actually get some hilarious story ideas from a Mad Lib. The real trick is getting someone who knows how to make absurd things and make it work.
Can Japan just stop with the whole Incest and Pedophile relationships in their “Normal” Anime. Its just getting super annoying and ruins most good anime.

Did the art director ever heard of the words "composition", or "colour coordination"? If it's too shiny, too sharp, camera angles too kinetic and there's too much... stuff on the screen

is it just me or is hand shakers kinda pretty? like idk the backgrounds are nice and the lighting is really stylized, its just the overambitious camerawork that takes me out of it
The psychedelic colors in the show is the trademark of GoHands studio. If ya want an equally pretty show with a better plot check out their other series K Project.
I think it looks p stylish when there aren't crappily textured chains and gears all over the place. maybe suited to a slightly surrealist short film or smth?
I will say that SOME of the 3D camera movement can be stunning in moderation, the extent of it within this show is clearly not in moderation which not only lessens the impact of those moments where it does look killer, it creates many scenes that look absolutely terrible in motion.
I do not like the premiere feature, it clutters my subscription feed. I click there to watch videos now, not to set a reminder that in a few hours at an exact time I can watch a video. I will press the hide button and most likely forget this video exists. I understand that premiere is good for audience engagement, i just wanted to give my two cents why I hate it.
I'm at 18:03 and realized how cool it would be to make an anime that's really disorienting on purpose, like it fits in with the story and someone actually makes it work
I remeber people defending this shows garbage CG saying they're trying something new . . . I also remeber the Hyrdra from the Hercules movie 20 years ago having better CG and 2D animation.
14:07 It's been a while but after the last year or so, this entire section makes it sound like the show was AI generated going by how many of the "tells" for AI art are present in the sets
That is partially due to the their greatest rival that forced them to go balls deep into creativity being fucking dead at this point that being full on western animation.
michaelkeha but its original competition didn’t do that. When it first wanted to get into America, it had to deal with creativity. Now it doesn’t, and it’s just dropped to western’s standards.
@@shaneyy__no not western standards that's main stream standards actual western standards anime still can't match that level of animation quality and emotion on a character.

"...he swings by the university to fix their air conditioner because that's the kind of thing they would ask a high school hobbyist to do" Back in the 90's when I was a teenager the local college called me regularly as a computer technician because the technician didn't know how to fix or trouble-shoot computers and the tech support line was "useless". I could of done anything and they wouldn't of known but the pay was decent and the computers kept finding new ways of breaking so I had a steady income from being a "high school hobbyist".
Yep, the technicians were used to old-school technology which was all hardware based and their only solution for fixing a computer was turning it off and then on again. (a valid strategy but not a fix-all) My uncle had being coding and taking apart computers since I was a little kid so I had a good grasp of fixing both hardware and software problems because my Commodore 64 spent more time broken or in pieces than together and working. I also used to fix beepers for some extra cash, the dawn of user-friendly computing and moblie phones put me out of business as it were but it was nice while it lasted and it show me that there was a lot of money to be made in computers.

Manatherindrell no you're like me the kind of guy who watches terrible anime out of a mix of morbid curiosity and enjoying just how bad it can possibly get (unless that anime is Eiken fuck that show)
It took me a while to figure out what this reminded me of but I think the general vibe of Handshaker's visuals is "Madoka's witch labyrinths you ordered on Wish"
I feel like this show's whole budget was blown on the intricate character designs. Which I mean... That's a really striking art style that deserves a far better anime.
I enjoy holding a girl's hand as much as the next person, but if it impedes my ability to do every day things like using a fork and knife to eat my Breakfast, lunch and Dinner, Playing video games, Driving a car, lifting heavy objects, building model kits, etc. Then I'd rather not.
Honestly, a teenage hobbyist being the best a school can afford to fix their AC is actually the most realistic thing about this show. Then again, I went to an American public school.

We watched the first episode and it was a fucking ride. Everything you point out made us laugh at how bad it was. I spent my senior year as president of the club by saying, "Don't let go of my hand or I'll die." And we'd laugh.
My college club watched the first episode of this and only the first episode,I remembered nouthing about it.

I hate to say it, but after seeing so many anime that basically all follow the same animation rules in terms of backgrounds and such, I actually LIKED Hand Shakers unique, stylized look. It was such a breath of fresh air to see something that different. Unfortunately, it deserved better characters in a better story.
I did too. The show sucked, but it looked GORGEOUS.
i kinda liked the surreal real world render cause its difficult to make something feel intentionally off-putting, it feels like the perfect setting for a psychologically introspective show, its generic but unique but aesthetic but garbage, its a hot mess that a hot mess of a character ought to live in. im thinking something like the spinning gears by akutagawa, the way he sees gears overlaid in his vision and agonizes over a cheap shade of pink that he moments before found soothing, his preoccupation with western authors and how he scrambles around with philosophical themes in an intellectual frenzy, how everything in the world feels wrong and how its striking his nerves and setting his mind on fire as he descends into madness and onto the course of suicide. something like that
I agree. Aside from the cgi and green screen background the characters designs are aesthetically pleasing

I wish they GoHands had kept the animation style from season 1 of K. After that they got Way too stylized
I still remember the animation and colours for the trailer was pretty good. And then shit went really trippy in the actual anime
It looks fine when nothing is moving.
This is what I was thinking watching the video. "Man, if I had it muted, I'd be a little confused."
Those bad CGI wallet chains are hilarious every time I see them.

@Arie Elberian He DID cover it, when he talked about the worst shows of last year. It was at "Number 1" worst and he covered it fairly extensively
Those numbers, are you trying ti tell me something?

@@MrZaborskii He was very much into the whole 'Southern Oppression' narrative of the post-Civil War Reconstruction, and his wonky views also helped for some of the reason the US grew so intervention-happy, plus the League of Nations, the failed first draft of the EU. So yeah, Wilson's a bit of a bad person to quote...
Yeah he was a shit person, but that's far from the worst thing here
I always get a headache while watching scenes from this anime...
Quality stuff
Oh thank god I thought it was just me. I couldn't handle 5 minutes of this show
It's like playing the first Quake, only without the fun and excitement. And also with worse graphics.
Did the art director ever heard of the words "composition", or "colour coordination"?
If it's too shiny, too sharp, camera angles too kinetic and there's too much... stuff on the screen
It looks so...I don't even know. Disorienting? It hurts to look at in motion.
Tim Coy Same- but I also got seriously nauseous after about 5 more.
I look at the characters and visuals and ask myself why this wasn't just a pleasant slice of life rather than a mess of blurry pixels trying to assemble a fight scene.
"With everything except the characters being 3D objects..."
I see what you did there.
It's both literally and figuratively true. Good catch, I hadn't noticed that one.
MASTERFUL
Reminded me of a Golden Sun Dark Dawn review that describes Himi as "one Dimensional, EVEN FIR THIS GAME SERIES"

I’ve been in car accidents more fulfilling than this show
@@panzerschiff9805 yeah like drake and josh. Because its actually really good, lol.

is it just me or is hand shakers kinda pretty? like idk the backgrounds are nice and the lighting is really stylized, its just the overambitious camerawork that takes me out of it
The psychedelic colors in the show is the trademark of GoHands studio. If ya want an equally pretty show with a better plot check out their other series K Project.
Throughout this video the only major issue I had with the look of it was the streaming compression. I thought it looked downright gorgeous tbh.
From the clips here, I honestly think it looks really good. Just a shame it seems to have nothing else going for it.
I think it looks p stylish when there aren't crappily textured chains and gears all over the place. maybe suited to a slightly surrealist short film or smth?
ye ik
I just want to say that I don’t care if UA-camrs premiere their videos but 12 and half hours seems really excessive.
You never wait for more than a day mate?
That's on Geoff
Excessive? Maybe, but I've waited 4 days for a 4 minute video one time.
Can’t say I care as long as I get it eventually
@George Petrovich exclamation
You know it's gotta be bad when characters LITERALLY pop-in from nowhere.
I lost it at 13:10 its fucking photoshopped fire in a professional anime
I would expect this from an abridged
I’m extremely early. 90% guarantee I’m gonna miss the premier
Update: I missed it
Time zones are really a bummer
lol haha noob
This made me laugh way harder than it should
14:07 did that person disappear when they walked into someone, then reaper at 14:10 after they passed through?
wait, what's this shadowverse app doing on my computer? how did it get there?!?!?!
eh might as well try it
Don't forget to eat and drink water!
It’s definitely not a virus
Sounds like a horror story just waiting
Sounds like the start of an anime if you ask me. Not necessarily issekai, but more likely than not, an issekai.
Persona 5 is trash.
Based purely on the animation, Hand Shakers will in my mind always be known as "K Project, but without any of the redeeming qualities"
Thats actually accurate
Never mind my original comment. Right name, but wrong animation. I was thinking of something that was on Newgrounds quite a few years ago.
I think its too long on this vid. If they could shorten to 1-2hrs notice its long enough for me.
No one cares. STOP WATCHING THE FUCKING PREMIER
Oh my God. I was mid-sip when the NGE clip paired with "not that anime" happened. I almost choked to death!

15:40 The shadow from that dude’s chin is seeping onto a tent that should be higher than him and pretty far behind him WHAT AM I EVEN LOOKING AT
I'm at 18:03 and realized how cool it would be to make an anime that's really disorienting on purpose, like it fits in with the story and someone actually makes it work
You do see this, but they don't do the entire show that way.

Antichamber: The Anime
Doctor strange the anime.
I think that was what made code geass later middle part work by inserting random side character plots crossing lelouch.
8:44 real smooth transition where the two guys just.. pop into frame
I remeber people defending this shows garbage CG saying they're trying something new . . .
I also remeber the Hyrdra from the Hercules movie 20 years ago having better CG and 2D animation.
The hipsters defend this as protest against the more mainstream anime like Boku no hero.
disneymovies be good animationwise lel
14:07 It's been a while but after the last year or so, this entire section makes it sound like the show was AI generated going by how many of the "tells" for AI art are present in the sets
That's not how you make people want to play a card game. You do it by telling them they can play your card game ON MOTORCYCLES
Anime's greatest mistake is rarely innovating and giving us the same thing most of the time.
@@shaneyy__no not western standards that's main stream standards actual western standards anime still can't match that level of animation quality and emotion on a character.
michaelkeha do point me in the direction of this creative western animation. I’d love to see it
They straight up ripped Nico from Love Live and put her in this show lmfao
Anime's motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Or alternately, "if it ain't nailed down, steal it."
She's honestly more likeable

Why is youtube premiere a thing just why i want to see this vid but its a premiere so im gonna forget about it and see it in like a month
I'd rather it show up in my sub box when it's release than have it show up in my sub box before it's release... It's getting annoying when channels do this...
Well it's up now but ya, premier feature is flawed
Im confused of what your even talking about but okay good for you bro.
They shoot to the top of the sub box after the premiere is over.
You can set a reminder for the video and it pops up again when it is actually release. If you forget about it you would have done the same thing had it not premiered your criticism makes no sense.
9:36 I’m surprised this is still monetized but fuck was that funny.
Was watching this hoping to relax and laugh along...until I heard there was a season 2. The completionist inside of me was screaming in pain.
18:20 my boi those scenes are not what all true warriors strive for
Link, after watching one episode of this anime: "Gee, it sure is boring around here!"
Funny how your profile pic is @18:20. Did you quickly change it and your name for this moment lol?!
"...he swings by the university to fix their air conditioner because that's the kind of thing they would ask a high school hobbyist to do"
Back in the 90's when I was a teenager the local college called me regularly as a computer technician because the technician didn't know how to fix or trouble-shoot computers and the tech support line was "useless". I could of done anything and they wouldn't of known but the pay was decent and the computers kept finding new ways of breaking so I had a steady income from being a "high school hobbyist".
So you were a better technician than the technician employed
Yep, the technicians were used to old-school technology which was all hardware based and their only solution for fixing a computer was turning it off and then on again. (a valid strategy but not a fix-all)
My uncle had being coding and taking apart computers since I was a little kid so I had a good grasp of fixing both hardware and software problems because my Commodore 64 spent more time broken or in pieces than together and working.
I also used to fix beepers for some extra cash, the dawn of user-friendly computing and moblie phones put me out of business as it were but it was nice while it lasted and it show me that there was a lot of money to be made in computers.
Shinobu Sakurazaka congrats on being an anime character

"if i wanted to watch boku no pico.. i'd kill myself." You watched it so many times that you could watch it as your life passes before your eyes in full? Amazing
My eyes were screaming in agony just trying to watch this. Not the review, mate, but the anime itself.
13:20 Love the Initial D reference, there.
That's my favorite anime.
After watching this video, the only thing I find myself thinking is "Huh. That show looks interesting."
Do... do I have shit taste? Am I THAT GUY!?
Manatherindrell if you got interested because of the visuals, i highly recommend just watching GoHands' previous show K Project. It has a very similar aesthetic with way WAY better animation. Seriously just randomly search "K Project fight scene" and I guarantee any video you click on would be miles ahead whatever this is. The animation, direction, and soundtrack holds up so well
Manatherindrell no you're like me the kind of guy who watches terrible anime out of a mix of morbid curiosity and enjoying just how bad it can possibly get (unless that anime is Eiken fuck that show)

Seeing Cygames triggered my GBF000 flashbacks and it hasn't even ended yet.
8:03 Holy crap, it's the UA-cam survey music two years before UA-cam surveys had music!
I enjoy holding a girl's hand as much as the next person, but if it impedes my ability to do every day things like using a fork and knife to eat my Breakfast, lunch and Dinner, Playing video games, Driving a car, lifting heavy objects, building model kits, etc. Then I'd rather not.
I was going to watch this show....
and then I saw the moving camera, and gave up all hope.
