It’s hard to process that this was 80 years ago and now the Queen is in her 90’s
she is a very strong and confident queen
and yet still exude calm to her nation through another crisis
She has seen so much.
And that it was Winston Churchill who suggested this was done. Wow
Richard Schiffman Thank You Richard! Her Majesty is 93 now, and has only addressed The Commonwealth 5 times in Her reign. President Eisenhower was In the White Office when She came to the throne.
We have news about the U.S Covid 19 situation everyday here, so please don't think we are not thinking about you guys! 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Who's here after watching the Queen's speech 2020?
silentvibe meeee
Yeah me - after the coronavirus speech
👍 strong words 🙏🏻
I am!
Yes, after she mentioned it in today's speech. Scary!
So well spoken and how cute when she said "Come on Margaret!"
this was well rehearsed and cutely delivered
There can't be many people who broadcast nationwide 80 years apart! What longevity
She sounds almost the same!
Incredible
@@RaniaIsAwesome really? When she was a child, she sounded cute, innocent and soft. 80 years later, she sounds more regal, intimidating and strict
Crazy now that she's dead 😢
My condolences to the British people on the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Amazing she just saw the transfer of power. She made the world a better place and she will be missed.
Thank you
She is utterly going to be missed by myself I served her everyday although I was either here in the Philippines or in San Jose , CA or wherever I may have been ever so happy she was my my queen and ever so restlessly eager above anything to serve her to her Majesty. Rest well your Majesty, Murkalicious Ⓜ️
and the rest of the commonwealth I suppose
thank you
Thank you so much

Anyone here after the yesterday Queens speech 2020???
Still brilliant.
It's hard to imagine that this was 80 years ago, and the Queen is still with us.
Edit:
Now she ain't no more 😔. RIP Queen Elizabeth II. 1926-2022.
God
She will always be with us.
Long. Live. The. Queen. 🇬🇧
Not to day not to day 😔

She dedicated her whole life to the British people. She did as she said she would.
She died on September 8 2022

I love the sound of her voice as a child. So sweet!
This is a cancerous comment section, I'd recommend avoiding it.
Every time I go into the comment section on this channel, I'm like what the fuck is wrong with people?
Michelle exactly ! Jesus Christ these people are pawns of Satan !
@@fashionbug9880 Because people are granted free speech everywhere in the internet, especially UA-cam. That's what is wrong with people.
@@MastersDefender what is wrong with free speech? xD. Let people say what they want. Free speech is a fundamental right, a right the people in Britain were fighting for 80 years ago
Yea we should avoid people who think she is an reptile who is immortal and will destroy the world
She was a remarkable lady who lived a long life with dignity and honor. She will be missed.
To think within a decade of this speach, she becomes Queen. Yet technically she was still just a kid.
Ah... before she became Queen, she was already married with 2 children - hardly a kid....

You use their title now.
She still carries herself so well.
Some Years ago in a Library. I was reading an Old 1952 Life Magazine, A big article about the Queen. As She was just taking the The Throne!
We are so blessed to have such a wonderful Head of State. It was extremely moving to hear her broadcast to the nation recently.
i got this video recommanded to me after her 2020 speech…
Please note that Dame Vera Lynn, the forces sweetheart of WWII, is still alive at the age of 103.

Her majesty The Queen of England has done so much for the country and for the people in Great Britain... this is REAL LOVE, CARING AND GREAT VALOUR the Queen never abandoned her country and the people!!!! She is great, long live the QUEEN!!!! and the peoples of UK who love and support the monarchy FOR EVER....
@This Buddy Life she uses to fix trucks so your right
She’s Queen of UK not just England
Good bless Queen Elizabeth of New Zealand!
@@pedanticradiator1491 And the Commonwealth.😂
Iris Collins She’s the ceremonial head of the Commonwealth and head of state of 16 of its 50 odd members
She s often been described as cold to he family, but she has served this nation in exemplary service for the good of the country
That one made me tear up.
Oddly enough, after a lifetime of being opposed to the monarchy, I finally understand why monarchies exist. Of course, this only works if the monarch lives over 90 with all of their faculties intact. But the mere fact that someone in a position of power can speak to you 80 years apart, whilst still being in that position, is nothing short of a miracle. God save the Queen.
The only reason I support a monarchy is when I look around the world and see the alternative choice, no contest.
Most monarchs didn't even come close to her age. There's a reason, she's being hailed as the first British monarch to ever become so old and reign for so long.
Most monarchies existed because someone had an abnormally large ego and there happened to be enough people around him to support that.
The British monarchy only really still exists because of tradition. The powers the British monarch still has are vastly limited by the fact that any abuse of them would inevitably lead to the dissolution of the monarchy.
While republics might not seem inherently superior to a constitutional monarchy like Britain's, they certainly are, in contrast to any absolute ruler.
UK Monarchy. A single person, figurehead of a church, leading a government and in full power of military might.
This was how it was explained to me.

I hope in the years to come everyone will be able to take pride in how they responded to this challenge .
And those who will come after us will say that the people of this generation were as strong as any .

Gut nacht
This was the princess Elizabeth's first speech, her first speech as queen would've most likely been her father's eulogy
No, I think her father was laid to rest before she was officially crowned Queen.
Yes , it must have been because she was Queen before her coronation.
With respect it seems the British learned a few things before that speech from their own history. Defiance against an enemy that they could not defend against on their own and standing their ground despite overwhelming odds and little chance of survival. I live only a few miles from the battle grounds of Lexington and Concord where others once thought this and took a chance to stand their ground despite the odds stacked against them. In modern history, the British and their monarchs (to be fair mostly her and her father) have been great friends to the US which I am thankful for and hope through the reign of King Charles that it will stay the same. Godspeed to you Queen Elizabeth ... I am sure in my lifetime or my sons that we will never see a Queen like you again.
So sad to watch after her passing it dont feel real
pas mal pas mal
Unique magnificent start.
