I am so glad you reacted to this collaboration between Home Free & The Oakridge Boys. "Elvira" was a huge hit for The Oakridge Boys in 1981. You can see the great respect these 2 groups have for each other. The Oakridge Boys are mentors to Home Free & it is like they are passing the baton to a newer version of themselves. They have performed together on the Grand Ole Opry. Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is the best in the business. He can simulate drums & any other sounds perfectly. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group. They are so talented yet very humble guys.
Guys I just saw Home Free live in concert at the strawberry festival in central Florida O.M.G. what a performance but don't worry they are scheduled to go back to Europe to perform. I hope you catch it.
The Oak Ridge Boys are country legends and the level of respect between them and Home Free is awesome. HF is always respectful of the legendary artists they've performed with and they have performed with many. This is so much fun. The Oak Ridge Boys were the original artists of this song.
Thanks for the reaction! Austin's shirt that the Oaks signed is framed and on display in his house! The guys were actually on tour in Europe just before covid hit! They had to get a quick flight home before the airports were shut down! It's possible they may head that way again next year!
The previewed video at the end of this one is called Honey I'm good. That one's a good one to review next. The leggy blonde lady is Tim's (bass) wife, the guy who waves at Rob (glasses) is his friend and podcast partner Eric Beugler aka Beugs, and the lady in the car is Rob's wife. Home Free often has friends and family (and pets) in their videos. The video you're asked to wait to watch is Mayday. It's best if you are familiar with the guys and their voices and octave ranges first. Two videos that show their goofy humor are their Valentine's Day songs from last year and this year. I Swear and Make You Feel My Love are serious songs in themselves but Home Free's rendition is hilarious...and sexy.
They do still tour. And the Oak Ridge Boys are a famous country group in the US. They originally sang this song years ago and was happy to do it with Hom Free
yeah this video is about 8 years old now...but they collabed again with the Oak Ridge Boys again in 2020 on a Christmas special they streamed online ! I will recommened again "BROTHERS IN ARMS" please, please react to that one.
They did do a European tour but it was canceled halfway through because of the Covid Lockdown, They hope to do it again, but I don't think anything is scheduled. The Oak Ridge Boys was a classic country quartet that started in the 1950s-1960s. Elvira was one of their hits. They have been mentoring the Home Free boys and there is a lot of love between the two groups.
Glad you enjoyed this collaboration. It is very good and The Oakridge Boys is very known for their in the country and gospel songs. It was a honor for Home Free to sing with them. Looking forward to your next reaction. You all have a blessed day
So pleased you loved that - The Oak Ridge Boys were the original singers of this (decades ago!) and I've loved them since the 80s when I found them... then they teamed up with Home Free and the result was flipping brilliant. For something different, try Home Free's Love Train - it's not particularly country, more 70s disco style, and it's dead cool
The song was originally written way back in 1966. The Oakridge boys had a big hit with it back in 1981. I saw Home Free live a few months ago for the first time and it was SO GOOD! Their catalog is huge with many, many outstanding songs. 50% Pop/Classic, 30% Country, 15% Inspiring, 5% Goofy Fun, 200% Entertaining, 100% Humble.
I saw Home Free live once before the pandemic. It's hard to believe they are THAT good just hearing them on UA-cam. Doing a cappella live is not easy and they do it incredibly.
I'm old enough to remember when the Oakridge Boys first came out and have always loved their music 🎶. But was even better when they teamed up with HomeFree. I think they compliment each other very well. Great reaction. 🦋🎶💕🦋
I love this video & love your reaction (as always)! Yes, the Oak Ridge Boys (they're from Oak Ridge, Tennessee USA) are country/gospel & were formed in the 1940s so, of course, there have been many changes over the decades but the current guys have been together for a long time! Home Free is so respectful of all the older artists when they collaborate & give them the "spotlight", but everybody seems to have such a fun time working together! Two months after this video was put on UA-cam by Home Free, The Oak Ridge Boys were inducted into the "Country Music Hall of Fame"! 🤔I don't believe in "coincidence"! The video now has 24 million views!😊
You guys are so adorable! I'm a year old Home Fry but got my first glimpse of them in 2013 and knew they were something special. So glad they are still around and creating new music for us every month. The Oak Ridge Boys are the originators of the song and one of their biggest hits so having Home.Free collaborate was a great honor. Home Free very much looks up to the Oak Ridge Boys.
MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW!!!!! Adam - The beatboxer, does HARMONICA with his voice!!!!! Have met them 4 times....spoken with them all and they are the nicest guys in show business No Egos! They are funny too! Love them and will be seeing them again on 28th of April!! cant wait.
This is the first time I heard of your channel. Your reactions were awesome and it’s wonderful how you feel about the fellas. Please try and listen to more of Home Free music. I love HF and listen to them all the time. I went back through the videos and listened to all the HF and watched the reactions. Thank you for the positive feedback.. 🎼🦋🎵💕🎶
You heard Tim the bass man give a shout out to Geoff ,(Jeff) Castellucci for arranging the song. Geoff is a deep bass singer like Tim and you should react to Geoff's song "Sixteen Tons", for some more deep bass notes. He can sing in higher octaves too, so in this video he harmonizes with himself. Thanks!
The Home Free guys had such a great time singing with the Oak Ridge Boys. Working For A Living...Fun...Good Ol" Boy Good Time...fun. Any song that has been suggested will be great. Thank you for a really good reaction.
Just a look into a Home Free concert check out Home Free and Texas Hill at the Ryman theater singing a original song from Home Free called dreamer you'll love it I promise .
Austin brown is Home Free’s high tenor. He has solo stuff on his channel. Tim Foust the bass singer also has solo stuff on his own channel but you will find more stuff from their live shows and other gigs that were posted by fans by just searching their names.
The Oak Ridge Boys are legends in country/gospel music. Home Free and the Oak Ridge Boys also have another video on you tube called "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem", a country gospel song. Thank you for playing this and for your comments.
Home Free is the younger generation of the Oak Ridge boys! This was a hit for for the Oaks back in the 60s! Love the interaction between the2 groups! Nice Reaction!!
Hello. Love that you are still on the HF band wagon. Keep driving and i will be riding along for the fun of it. This song is well known in America. It is a classic country song. Looking forward to the next one!
The guys were actually on a european tour when the first lockdown happened in 2020 , they say that they hope to come back but it wont be before 2023 so we just have to wait and enjoy all the music they have could you please check out one of their beautiful lovesongs -- 1 Die A Happy Man . 2 Heaven . Looking forward to your next upload , love from Denmark
I'm crazy about all their videos. All the serious ones and all the fun ones (all the solo leads and group leads) are equally great. It is nice that they mix it up, because you don't know what you'll get with every new release. WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMEN was a quarentine release, which means every member recorded his part from home or studio nearby. They released really creative videos during lockdown. The sound didn't suffer though.
When this song was popular on the radio, I knew a lady with a tiny little boy who went around singing, " 'Vira, 'Vira." The older gentlemen were the people who originally sang the song. Very famous in their day. Home Free has also combined with Don McClain to sing his American Pie.
I’m going to see them live for the second time April 23rd in Canada here, when they come near you, their tickets are very reasonable, and their shows are amazing. They sound just as good live. They tour most of Europe, Britain, Australia, Canada and the US. I can’t recommend seeing them live highly enough. :). Love your reactions :). ‘Try everything’ is a great cover they do the origional is by shakira :)
A great combo of talent here! Love the reactions as you discover Home Free. Check the Home Free Drum Solo with their beatboxer; the version with him in the red flannel shirt from 6-7 yrs ago. You will see an amazing drum solo followed by a beat box demonstration , no instruments of course! Also the cover of When a Man Loves A Woman, etc.
It’s so fun that watch you and feel your enjoyment of these Home Free songs! Each song is a new experience…enjoy them! Can’t wait for your next reaction.
You might like "My Church" and "Some Girls Do". Some Girls Do is sung by Adam Chance mostly. You might react to "Cover Me Up" Chance sings that song too. There's a surprise in that song. I won't tell you because I don't want to ruin it. Thank you again for reacting to Home Free!
Thoroughly enjoy watching your enjoyment while watching & listening to Home Free. Please don't think you're talking too much - we want to hear what you think. Haven't seen a suggestion yet for their cover of Can't Stop The Feeling. It's one I think you would love.
Hello from Sydney again, I'm so happy every time I watch you both I can see the love and respect you have for each other, its so nice to see and be part of your chanel. Thank you for replying to my msg I sent you about the Tesky Brothers and the (song called Rain), A Colors Show as I would love to see you react to it bc I know you both have a good ear for great music so thank you.
This is a fun one. Oak Ridge boys have been around for a long time. They have a lot of hit records. Elvira was one of them. So much fun to see Home Free with them. Home Free has so many good songs. Try Die a Happy Man, Yours, Meant to Be, Heaven to hear more great harmonies . They were in Europe when the pandemic hit. They filmed How Great Thou Art in the Austrian Alps….it’s a beautiful one. Good reaction!😀
Oh my goodness, I subscribed yesterday because of Pentatonix and today I see that you watched Elvira, one of my favorite songs for roller skating over 40 years ago!
Their softish ballads are lovely and extremely well done, but I prefer their upbeat fun songs. Butts Medley is still my favourite and Working for a living.
They do Worldwide tours so you never know where they will be. The Oak Ridge Boys are an older school country group..most famous in the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Legends of their particular craft. Neither of you talk too much and you do just fine. Elvira was performed by the Oak Ridge Boys first. Home Free covered it. Maybe you are ready for something a little more comedic. "Honey I'm Good", "Country Fried Pop Melody" "Workin For A Livin" ,
Talking about Europe... They were in the middle of their Europe tour when covid happened. There's a video of how tense it became not knowing if they should continue the tour because countries were going on lockdowns. When Trump decided to shut the borders, Home Free, family and crews immediately took the first flight home. One day, they will go back and continue their Europe tour.
Another great reaction guys. Still waiting for Pentatonix? Like I said, Home Free is fantastic but PTX is better. I live in hope. Mix it up? Archie says woof. Cheers from Downunder.

Oak Ridge Boys are old school country like the Beach Boys are to pop. I remember listening to them as a child.
Guys I just saw Home Free live in concert at the strawberry festival in central Florida O.M.G. what a performance but don't worry they are scheduled to go back to Europe to perform. I hope you catch it.

No they weren't the original singers they probably have the most popular version but the original is Dallas Frazier
@@MegaBumblebee666 oh. Thanks for the info. I didn't know that.

Your smiles tell it all! Aren't they great? Thank you for your reactions!
Yes they are! We are still in a state of shock! How amazing! 😍
I TOLD you they have more fun!!!!
Home Free has done three European Tours (The last interrupted in the middle in 2020). I would expect more in the future.
I love the delight that you have listening to our guys. New subscriber since yesterday and hello from this Tennessee home fry gal. 🤗
Welcome aboard! And thank you for subscribing! Hello back from UK! 💚😍

You can google the sing off season 4 episodes to see all of their performances from that too. They actually won it that year.
I'm loving watching you enjoying the different kinds of songs they do, they have such a variety, keep exploring Home Free x
Thank you! Will do!😍
