You got me tapping away for sure, I am impressed beautiful craftsmanship followed by that sound and great your picking have to hand it to you real good 👍.
@@morbanjo2503 I wish the same shops that made the dulcimers, zithers, and psalteries would also make these kind of banjos too. They are a very unique Appalachian variant of the banjo, almost its own separate instrument
Thanks Noah. For some reason I have in my head that bracing that goes across the grain blocks some vibration. Of course this is Baltic Birch ply so it might not really matter. I probably got this notion from a fiddle's bass bar so yeah, double bass bars sounds good to me, lol.
Looks and sounds so good! After a so-so first try a couple years ago, I want to make a second banjo and the wood top is alluring. Frets are still intimidating (to make) to me. You're an inspiration!
Thanks! Last one I made had the bridge closer to the center and it was a bit mellower. I placed the bridge further back on this one and it has a brighter, twangier tone. I like both sounds but this one is maybe a little more banjo-ish. Oh, I liked your Delilah song!
What a beautiful banjo! I've been wondering about bridge placement on skin head banjos, didn't realize how it would effect wood tops too. Sweet sound!!!

Thank you!
this was an exquisite build
wonderful sound and well played
Thank you.
sounds much better than a regular banjo IMO
Thank you. It does have its own unique sound.

Great sound.
Thank you.
pleasantly surprised by the dulcimer/bouzouki-esque sound it's got
Thank you. It is sort of a hybrid sound.
Another good’n. The bracing’s orientation is interesting, almost like double bass bars. Surprised at the amount of volume this one has.

Sounds great

Thank you! Don't give up. You could always use a pre made fret board. Or make a fretless banjo! Easier to play than you might think.
FRESH
Was expecting a mellower tone with the wood top? Instead I hear a beautifully bright sound with great sustain. Very nice.

Yessir Lou, I think it makes a noticeable difference.
Do you sell them yet? Incredible sustain and tone.
Thank you. Yes, I do sell them. This one is spoken for but another is underway in the shop.
Beautiful Banjo and a very cheerful sound 👍🏿
