Watching all these life saving procedures just brings a hugh smile to my face. Thank you all for your compassion and kindness. You are restoring my faith in humanity as from what I have seen, for every evil person who shoots an arrow throught a beautufil wild bird's wing and other evil acts to animals, for no other reason that he/she can, there are twice as many people who have a soul and care about these beautiful animals and birds and do all they can to help them.
RIP Pixie..... That was devastating to watch. I rescued a kitten, Patches, who was 3 weeks old all alone living under a shed at a gas station in West Hartford, CT. She was my _baby_
God bless veterinarians/conservationists and all the love and hard work they do for animals. Much love and appreciation for it all! The planet appreciates it all I bet as well! ❤
The kitten story is so heartbreaking! The sentiment that stories like that wouldn't happen if intact females weren't roaming. My eldest rescue was a baby having babies herself. She was found under someone's shed with a pair of estimated 6 month old kittens at her side, but she was clearly under 2 years herself. Her kittens were adopted the day before I went to visit to potentially adopt and I absolutely fell in love with her and took her home. She's the most special and affection cat I've ever owned, but physically keeping her in our house was a struggle at first. She spent months trying to get out to find her babies and she actually successfully got out and went missing long enough that we didn't think she was coming back. I was pregnant and inconsolable so we adopted a kitten and then presto, my little momma came back. She adopted that kitten as her own and hasn't strayed since! She's a happy, healthy, roughly 6 year old now and she's filled out like an adult, but she's skeletally very compact. I suspect she was closer to 1 than 2 when I adopted her, and closer to 6 months than 1 year when she had those babies, and it all probably interrupted her own growth.
I've had a similar experience with a cat before. Saved a kitten whose ambilical cord was wrapped around their two front paws, but luckily we were able to get it fixed before it got extremely bad. Unfortunately her two front legs are now pointed inwards, but she's pretty much adapted due to the inability to move her front legs normally, so instead she hops around and scoots around the house. 🥰❤ shes my miracle baby.
@@domiro8156 It might not be lousy English. Giselle might have commented BEFORE we were told Pixie's fate, in which case present tense would make sense. So maybe try to not be so judgemental.

I am so grateful for this channel, it has made us far more knowledgable pet parents, and it has helped us to notice our little Chi having some difficulty with his back leg far earlier than we would have. He is having diagnostic x-rays taken today, and we are better prepared for the next steps because I've seen the two likely culprits (cruciate ligament, or luxating patella) treated on this show. So thank you to all involved in making this entertaining and informative resource available to so many for free!
@@InsertMyChineseUsername How very kind of you to ask! He is doing well, he has a damaged cruciate ligament, but because we caught it early, the vet hopes he can avoid surgery with weight loss and pain management. So Bondi Vet may have saved our little one from surgery - what a wonderful show! Thank you again for being so kind
My cat Joyce was a teen mom she and her babies got very sick and one did not make it. However now the rest of her babies have all been adopted to wonderful homes and Joyce herself gets to enjoy life as a kitten with me. I love her so much and she is such a wonderful cat. ❤
We had a kitten with the same issue as Pixie. He was born when my husband and I were bot at work and the umbilical cord was wrapped around his leg and it had dried up and tightened up and the the blood supply had been cut off too long and he lost the foot. A few weeks later a lady from way north of here adopted him and his mama. We had filled her in on what had happened (poor little thing was also blind) but a few days later I saw on here Facebook where she was saying that she took him to the vet and the vet said it looked like the mama had chewed the kittens foot off, so she was keeping the mama (who we had named Skye) separated from the kitten so she wouldn''t harm him further. I immediately got in touch with her and reminded her that we had told her that he had lost his foot because of the umbilical cord cutting off the circulation and that Skye was an excellent mama and so she reunited Skye with her baby (who the new owner named Stimpy). When he was old enough they did an amputation of his stump and he grew into a happy healthy kitty who was, according to his adopter, "absolutely fearless." I felt sorry for Skye being falsely accused of harming her baby. She was miserable, being taken to a strange place with someone she didn''t know and then had her baby taken away.

I love watching the Bondi Vets, but I do worry about Chris's back. He is so tall and always seems to be bent almost in half, to do the operations. It won't help his neck either, he really needs to sit down or raise up the operating table,
Sitting down would be the best option even as raising the table might make it difficult for the others also apart of the operation Since they might not be as tall as he is
Poor little Pixie! My heart sank to hear she passed away! And at such a young age, too! Rest peacefully, you cute and sweet little girl! 😢💔 I also don't like to think her mom wasn't purposely being a bad mother, but perhaps, was just inexperienced. I've seen a video where multiple female cheetahs had cubs, and one of them didn't break the amniotic sac over one cub due to her lack of experience as a mother. That cub didn't survive either. So, maybe that was the case with Pixie's mom.
We took in 2 cats that had this happen at birth. They only had the top half of the legs left. We also took in their mom who turned out to be pregnant again and gave birth to 6 kittens, 3 of which had swimmer's syndrome. I get to see it a bit more often now and my mom said she was going to get me a pet but it costs $300 just to keep a pet in the apartment ;-; Seeing this video makes me want to adopt it even more. H*ll, I wanna adopt all the pets, well, animals that are hurt and in need of human care and love. I just hope my dad moves soon so when we do hopefully I can start my own rescue center at home until it's time for me to do my life long mission/job which includes lots of traveling possibly even over seas or even under it XD (I cannot tell you the exact details of the mission though because I'm surrounded by idiots :) )

I believe, as a cat Mom, Pixie needed a kitten her age as a constant companion while she was recovering. I noticed she wasn't happy being alone or without cuddles. I also practiced the same with my vunerable rescue kittens that experienced trauma or abandonment.
oh god i can feel what its like to lose an animal living on a farm hurts a lot and i lose an animal pretty much every week i have not been able to handle a animal close to me that i have grown attached to leave me
I'm curious if the Hunter Valley Zoo desexes the alligators they have.
Bruh, there's this cat that came up to me and my narcissistic mom in our(her) new home in this apartment complex when we came back from getting groceries and ever since I pet it I wanted to adopt it.
