Well, at least now Alex can say he's performed on Late Night at the Ed Sullivan Theater.
To which his mother would probably say "It's not like it's the Apollo"
Absolutely BEST comment in the Comment section!! 😁👍
I hope Alex sees it and works it into his act. 😊
Oy vey! 😂
Who did he pay? Boooooring!
Now!!! THAT'S funny! You're funnier than he is. He wants to be Jerry Seinfeld. (He's NO Jerry Sign Failed.) Gregg Qreo long beach ca
🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀💀
He has to use this in his next gig
"He's not dumb, he almost got noble prize!!"
"Well not for parking!!!!!!" 🤣🤣
His dad is into hearts, his brother is into skeleton and he's into fleshing out jokes.
Funnier comment than any of these jokes.
Seems like he's got a bone to pick with his mom though.
Good thing Mom keeps him on his toes.
very good
@@backelie serious.
Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes.
“Great” man….ever thought of WHY you love to think of yourselves as great?
Lol. that's funny Paul but...
"I can say it but no one else can talk about him".
Now THAT'S funny! For THAT comment alone, I love U! Funnier than Alex's ENTIRE set. Gregg Oreo long beach ca
Oh this was hilarious! Lol 😆
@@greggoreo6738 To be fair, I didn't make it up; I read it in a signature block on a forum. It remains one of the two funniest tag lines I've ever read. The other is, "I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my granddad, not screaming in terror, like his passengers."
“Turns out its nurture” 🤣🤣💀
Stand-Up on late night TV is a pillar of or culture. Please don't stop/do more!
I agree!!
It helps if they're actually funny, unlike this guy
How about we stay out of your yard if you stay out of ours.
@@mikester314 yeah this guy bombed. HARD.
Nope. This guys was real funny. Why do you watch If you didnt like it? Stay out of our yard then
You MUST watch his Max special. I've never laughed so hard.
"A trunk full of hearts" sounds more like a _serial killer_ than a country song.
... Unless it's just to watch them die.... ^^
@@orionsshoe2424 Well, this one definitely is.
@@orionsshoe2424 Or Slim Whitman. I am honestly not sure. 🤷♀️😉😁
It's almost cute how innocent of country songs you are 😂 they ran out of metaphors a decade ago and are scraping the bottom of the barrel
Country would be "A trunk full of broken hearts."
I saw "Just For Us" and it was one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. He's the real deal
@morris lorris exactly me too morris!!
Gary Gulman gave this guy a few minutes in Boston, back in the fall. He pretty much stole the show. Love how Alex uses his delivery mechanics to keep that material fresh and loose. We wish him every success
@@kptrayers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hilarious!
I saw him right before he started doing just for us. HIs ice cream parlor joke had me gasping for air
I don’t know why, but he reminds me of a young Matthew Broderick. 😁😊
Yes he does absolutely
only way more handsome and less of a slimeball.
Lol, this guy was great! He's also just like his mom, towards his brother though 😂 super funny!!
U are shrewd to pick up that analysis towards his brother! Freud is PROUD of U and: so am l. Gregg Oreo long beach ca
Hey @@greggoreo6738 thanks for the comment! I just want to take a second to suggest maybe not putting the city/state your in, in your comments. For like internet safety reasons👍 hope you have a nice night 🙂
Thank U 4 your wise counsel. I'll delete city and state. GOOD
ADVICE. Merci!
He's a fucking riot.
He forgot to mention. Maybe he got nervous. AJ is his TWIN! lmao. So the the “nurture” joke makes more sense
ah, but fraternal or identical ones?
5:12 "I went to go see AJ qualify on Lake Placid, 'cause I was like, 'There's no way this clown is gonna make the Olympics.'
"And this guy from Italy named Cecchini crashed at the top of the run, and the sled went down with out him, and the sled on its own _finished in fourth place."_
😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣
I have two PhDs and I’m in love with his mother. Find someone who loves you enough to keep you human
Two PhDs, what you think you're special because of that? Anyways, wanna get married?
@@schlaghappy i have dibs
@@schlaghappy 😂😂😂
Or maybe she’s just abusive. We don’t know.
Meanwhile, my two BAs, and two minors. My second husband, not even a h.s. graduate. But he loves me, and our fur babies.
"which must be the irony to end all ironies" STOPPHAGAHAHAHAHADG
First time I've ever heard museum pronounced "moo-za-um"
Thought I was the only one who heard it😅
you don't get out much, do you..
Been listening to him on BBC Radio 4 for some years. Deserves a following. Very funny.
“Shul runnings!” Very funny.
It's pretty obvious he gets his sense of humor from his mother.
The way he pronounces 'museum' reminds me of how Cumberbatch pronounced 'penguin' in that BBC penguin documentary.
"All the wives are wrong... except me."
-My wife, not as under her breath as she thinks.
Not for parking was pretty funny
The disproportionate amount of comments hating his mom or calling her “abusive” when you know if it was his dad complaining about his wife we all would just think it was normal jokes and not get our panties in a twist 🤪
you misunderstand if his dad wdre the one comlaining he would get those comments. after all comedy is all about talking about the things that hrt and laughing about it. His mum totally does qualify as the abuser in my book. Abuse is not always about bruises that are visible.. but I still like the way he deals with it.
Unfortunately, I'm guessing only 5 people got the Frozen Chosin joke. Lol.
I follow him on Instagram so I new a little about him but damn, this was so so good! The shul-runnings one, beautiful yet subtle. :D Loads of love from Germany (where apparently you can train for a sports called skeleton) Keep it up, Alex!!!
I love this guy so much
Alex Edelman is currently my favorite stand-up. Period. I hope to see him perform live some day.
I saw him live in Boston, show called Just For Us. Absolutely, freaking hilarious. Highly recommend.
Mic drop for his mom. No chill 🤠
Good to see more standup. :)
More please.
Also keep at it Alex! Doing great buddy.
Excellent! Thank You!
Sounds like his mother's son. Great skit. Iove the skull 💀 btw.
I saw him at my local comedy club and nearly died laughing. got to meet him before the show & he was so nice and humble..
Alex is such a nice guy. His show ("Just for Us") - slightly changed from what he did last year Off-Broadway - is currently playing ON Broadway @ the Hudson Theater for a 9-week limited run!
A group of 6 of us, who'd all seen him perform off-Bway just went to see him on Bway this past Sat night.
Even though we'd heard some of the jokes before (& we'd all already heard both the Christmas story AND the story set in Queens that inspired the "Just for Us" name), we laughed our tuchuses off... though tbh I resented Alex making comments about how the audience had come to see the show on Shabbos (as he called it), esp while he himself was actively working on Shabbat (not exactly saving lives): he did a Sat matinee in addition to the Sat night show.
For us, going to his show might not be in the spirit of Shabbat, but the way we did it broke no rules at all. And - not to criticize too much, since I do like Alex & wish him every success - I wish he'd stop saying "Frozen Chosen" as if he made it up: it's a phrase famously introduced by Michael Chabon in his 2007 novel "The Yiddish Policemen's Union." Otoh, "shul runnings" is fine.
Oh it´s on my bucket list: to actually meet Alex Edelman! There is something really special about his comedy. He doesn´t tell jokes he just talks about his life and is able to find the humour in everything.
He's right, it is nurture. My bro was an olympian, I can't hit a badminton birdie. I'm twice as fit, he got the support.
Lol
You are brilliant! Love you! My friend in Nantucket spoke so highly of you today...You know him. I won't mention his name but he is a "manager" and recognizes your genius.
Love it. The crowd was unfairly cold.
He is terrible, the crowed just confirmed reality.
They really weren't. If he had performed this exact set here in the UK he'd have been heckled and possibly booed off stage. I've seen funnier things under rocks. Just face it, Americans can't do comedy.
That's rich coming from a Brit. Lol
Don't get me wrong. I understand and like British humor, but most Americans don't get that self deprivation comedy.
i thought so too. I could not stop laughing!! I think you need to be jewish to fully appreciate all the jokes! My husband is a CFO of a company and I am constantly telling my kids your father is an idiot and how come he does not see the open parking spaces!! this was definitely my kind of humor!!
U thought the CROWD was cold? Only because of the air conditioner. There seemed to be friends in the audience who were paid a lot to laugh too hard. Alex needs to become a good Jewish doctor who can write prescriptions because HIS humor ISN'T THE BEST medicine. He left me cold. But. To each/ his own. Gregg Oreo long beach ca
And his brother plays wide receiver for the Patriots, that's pretty cool
great stuff
This was super funny lol. All was so wholesome and a fresher from comedy about sex and drugs
Because he’s doing it on CBS. 😆 I’m 100% sure his stage act isn’t this family friendly.
The whole every wife thinks their husband is a moron is kind of a played out trope though.
Ah, so you don't think this was about sex and drugs? My, how naive you are. Any insightful literary critic could show you just how much it is indeed all about sex and drugs.
Nice to see Stephen actually PRESENT for a stand-up routine! I think he may have learned something from the Hannah Einbinder incident . . .
Ironically, Alex’s girlfriend
What happened?
Hilarious! He's great.
Hilarious 😂
Alex is funny!!! 😅😄😃🤣
Ohhhhh yeah
LOL
This guy is so funny, love the self-deprecating humour.

@@ferrariasparta also funny thanks!
Saw his routine at my college, he’s great!
nah he is terrible
The way he says "musayum
Finally someone makes people laugh in this show
That was hilarious!!!
Definitely destined for musical theater.
Is it just me or does the audience seem confused when to clap or laugh?
It's nothing but sympathy claps
Skeleton is more of a sport than curling, but he's not wrong.
Are you his brother?
I beg to differ good sir
@@drewerydreambot2451 Brotha from anotha mutha. LOL
No.
Shul Running! 😁😁😁
I had no idea Ferris Bueller did comedy. 🤷♂️
Oh! It’s Dustin Hoffmann in the Graduate;)
This guy is hysterically funny😂😂
He is amazing!
He's Fine...
His mom is the hatred his dad needs to make that heart. He will do it just to spite her.
Compared to baseball at least Skeleton sounds fun to watch.
I’m glad somebody finally said it!
Seinfeld has a hilarious bit about the Olympics. Everybody should check it out involving deluge
Finally a comic that is funny. Great stuff Alex.
Omfg he’s so right about Michelle Obama LMFAO
So... he channels his mom, when it comes to his brother?
So disturbing.
@@raularaujostrw - It's stand up comedy FFS. How much of what he said was actually true? Huh?
I laughed. I didn't psycho analyze the whole situation.
FFS. They Are Jokes!!
Put on a regional production of Macbeth!
Very good
Wow. So familiar
Schul runnings!!
Loved Alex! 😂
This guys pretty good... :)
that one kid from freaks and geeks
Hilarious man. I am digging the your brother joke. Before that I was already laughing hilariously about the Nobel prize and they not for a parking😂
Is there a Nobel prize for parking I could have won it!(bronze at least)!
That dude was laugh out loud funny. I feel badly for his parents that with all of his dad's hard work and accomplishment, he still wasn't able to meet his mom's needs or expectations.
⚡🤣⚡
Did anybody else google his dad after watching this? Lol
🤣👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 אנחנו חזקים
hILARIOUS.. ALWAYS WAS! HAS IT ALL..
Crushed it!
This guy is 😂😁😻👍. Sled on its own finished in 4th place
Alex Edelman watching all your stand ups ❤You are fantastic 😊
Standup on network TV with all the censorship and pearl clutchers watching must be a horrible experience
This is why I always catch standup. You'll go through 98% trash until you find someone that's actually funny. Gotta taste a lot of salt to Appreciate sweetness
yay! haha
I like him.
I loved the joke about his mom being annoyed at his dad. Took me a little while but I got it after the 30th time he told it.
Lol. You are funny
I'm sorry I missed this show when it was playing DC. This guy is funny.
Ha ha ha. We're all so mean to each other. So funny. 😑
He chides his mom for being negative towards his dad's achievements, then goes on doing the exact same thing to those of his borther's.
Yep. I almost never will post something negative about a comedian debuting somewhere just because it takes guts to do and even if someone isn't good now maybe they will be. But not only it wasn't funny overall I guess i don't see the humor in him being a terrible brother and his mom being a terrible wife
@@stevekombolis3197 Most stand up comedians lie about their lives to make people laugh. His mother is probably a normal human being with flaws and strengths.
@@Candyplastic It's certainly possible but I think it's more likely he exaggerated some things and it was mostly true. I guess either way it seems like a weird choice to do a set on.
Guys like Jeselnik know how to be a jerk but in a way that the audience will love. If this was an attempt to go that route it didn't land for me. But just my opinion
@@stevekombolis3197 exactly. Its typical NY Jewish negative speak. I grew up around this shit.
@@stevekombolis3197 How a person can tell if someone is exaggerating? You don't know anything about his life or even care. You're judging a comedian for the wrong reasons. But my opinion.
Takes after his mother
Yeap. Hear that.
👍
Awesome! Loved him.
I like this bit better when Alex is on drugs
Danke
Alex Edelmann was für ein wunderschöner Name ist das Maseltov.
I am his biggest fan!!!!😊
The men are afraid to clap too enthusiastically because their wife is there.
Am I the only one who thinks this guy kinda looks like Ferris bueller
You’re welcome.
He was funny, but am I the only one who thought his microphone was super hot? It seemed like the audio technician couldn’t keep up.
Yes it was indeed a sexy microphone
Mom issues?
