Alex is one of my favorites he's so underrated! My favorite bit of his is how no one can say his Jewish cousin's names because we don't have a letter for phlegm.
Wish I could afford to see him here in LA but I'm so happy for him that he gets to do that many shows at such a cool venue
He's not exaggerating. I'm one of his first cousins and absolutely no one gets my name right on the first try. At least there's no ch; I have a sister who's middle name is Chagit.
He is a fantastic comedian, but let’s be real, it’s hard to call someone “underrated” when they appear on all of the late night talk shows. Not exactly an underdog 😂
And it's true! All our CH sounds are phlegm sounds but it took Alex to make me see that, after 45 years on earth with everyone we know having Hebrew names.

I remember speaking with Alex after the second time we saw his show years ago at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and saying to him ‘we’re enjoying watching your career develop’. Seems to be going pretty well! He’s a good guy and he’s a star. Still watching from Australia 👍👍

Alex dated the very funny Katherine Ryan for a while and obviously had a nice relationship with her daughter Violet. He clearly has a lot of affection for them both still which is nice
He's my first cousin and I think he's always been pretty good with kids. When I was a kid he used to entertain me and my sister with a puppet show he improvised with stuffed animals. He even had a theme song (which it turned out he stole from the Weird Al show but he was like 14, it was a good first try).

@@finjibuns I think our family's just a pretty close knit one. One time when I was a teenager I had to spend three weeks in a Boston hospital (long story) and his mom, my aunt, made me a piece of roast chicken every week so I could have a Shabbat dinner.

The same as Israeli People are not their government, Palestinians are not hamas. They are caught between the hammer and the anvil. I cannot understand how a group of people so horribly persecuted so much throughout history, cannot find it in their hearts to have great compassion for the Palestinians whose homes have been stolen by their own government.
Someone recently said in a comment that they wished the People of both Israel and Palestine would get together and work things out, then tell both the Israeli government and hamas what they The People wanted.
Freedom is for everyone, or freedom does not exist. All peoples have been persecuted at some point, and should know better.
The Gaza Strip is a prime strip of land in Southern Israel. In 2005 Israel’s IDF forcefully evicted 8000 Jewish families to give that strip to Palestinians.
This was a decision initially voted by the government but when a decision couldn’t be made, they gave it to the Israeli people who voted and decided to move forward in giving the Palestinians this land.
Israeli soldiers, families, and even cemeteries were pulled out. This was gorgeous land meant to be run by the more moderate Fatah. However, they elected Hamas a known terrorist organization that has been brutalizing both Israeli and Palestinians for over two decades.
This isn’t news and could easily be researched by typing the 2005 disengagement.
Another thing to note, Hamas conducts guerilla warfare. Israel is an established army. Hamas knew the extent of Israel retaliation when they massacres and behead 1200 israeli civilians.
Israel has full ammunition to level Gaza completely but instead is sending soldiers in surgical missions.
I kind of digressed a bit, but there’s so much hate on the Israeli government and I agree (as a citizen of Israel) the israeli government hasn’t always done right.
But this issue is never going to be resolved unless Palestinians are truly freed from Hamas.
Quite frankly people don’t want notes. Jimmy is absolutely right. Constructive criticism is no longer received well in this woke culture. Jimmy we ❤ ya and will always be a fan.

You just haven't met all the straight men who are "camp". Or, you have met them but you just assumed they are not straight. Your comment also applies to all the men in parts of the world who dont see women finish schooling and have a job. It applies to all the men in parts of the USA who haven't seen other men who like watching rom-coms. Just because YOU haven't seen enough straight men who squash the stereotypes, it doesnt mean they dont exist.
