This is exactly how I would like a beginner tutorial to be. Thank you for taking the time to put this together! I can't wait to start my sound hunting journey with this awesome device!
@@addictedtogear it was excellent detail. Basically like a manual without reading the manual! Awesome! Do you have a video like this on the Moore GE 300 LITE ?
@@addictedtogear I'll be following. There's so many videos on the Mooer but none go into full A- z how to use it walk through. I'm trying to chose one between the ge 300, ampero and line g pod go. People are saying mooer customer support is horrible so the question is the durability of the product and which one is the easiest to use
Great tutorial. I have just purchased one awaiting delivery.I have several multi effects units because I’m old and have gotten rid of all my tube amps. Once again thanks for the tutorial. I’m going to come back and reference your video several times I’m sure ..
Thank you very much for the instructions. I struggled my self to improve the standard sounds on my Hoton Empero. Thank you for the time invested and uploading the video. BR Simon
I was using a Yamaha THR10ll and found it impossible to get the editor software to recognize the amp- I tried both windows and IOS iPad. Finally gave up and grabbed an Ampero one... I LOVE IT!!
Click on"Edit" on the very top af the THR editor, then "Preferences", and put THR into the rubric "Data in" and "Data out". Hope it helps, but now you probaly don't need it because you have the ampero, which seems to be much better.
I have this pedal now for several years. Its real picky with the type of speakers if you running thru a power amp, etc. Looks like most on UA-cam use their computer and monitors to sound good. The worst thing is the limitation of 9 effects! The amp and cabinet are considered 2 effects, so now your down to 7. in most setups you now want to add the EQ now your down to 6. adding reverb and echo your down to 4. so if now you want to add lets say a mini-vibe and a compressor your down to 2 left! Now adding a smart-gate your down to one. This sucks because there are more effects that I wanted to add but cant! My 2 cents
Thanks for this great Video. I think about buying a multi effect board like the Ampero, and find this video very helpful finding my decision. Maybe you can answer one question I still have. With which patch the board starts? With the first factory patch, or with the first user patch. Or can I choose between? Thanks in advance for your answer. Kind regard. Mike
Thanks a lot for the video! very informative. Just wondering how is the exp pedal amero has can be controlled? how do I choose whether it will work as wah, or volume and so on? Thanks again!
I’ve had the unit for a few days and I’m very happy with it compared to the MX five that I just returned. I immediately noticed a few limitations. First of all with a FX one and two that have all of the compression and distortion and wah, if I want to use compression distortion in wha in one sound it’s impossible because effect three does not have the wah in it. The wah should be dedicated to its own block or somehow integrated into the software. Second thing I noticed immediately was that there was no drop tune effect. It would be nice to have a very usable half step a whole step drop tune for using in a band when we tune down that doesn’t have a lot of lag or sounds good like on the head rush. The third problem is that playing live I’m constantly engaging the looper and I’d like to know if in those settings menus where we control the switches the multi switches can I switch off or have no looper assigned to a multi function switch? If you know I would appreciate an answer. I want to disable that looper. Thank you
What you need to know about the editor, is that you cannot move / insert a preset between 2 others. So to order your presets, you have to save them all individually one by one. Then reload them one by one in the order that you want. There are 200 user presets spaces. If you use many different instruments, and if you play live, ordering presets is something you do often, and with Hototne Ampero it's a complete nightmare and a lost of time, while other brands like Boss, Roland, etc... All have a preset manager.
good to know. thanx!! I'm thinking of buying this unit and that is one of first thing I would do -> place the patches in the order that I would like them to be. (I'm an boss gt-8 user and in that, U just copy the patch U like and drop it in the place U would like it to be....)
Nice vid man. I am on buying my first multi efx. Drum machine, looper and especially the price leads me to Ampero. But on the other hand people say that Pod Go has one of the best sound quality (but it lacks drum machine and cost in Europe 150e more) Do you have any experience with Pod to say whether they are in the different league or maybe it is not necessary that much of a difference? Cheers!
Seems to be a great unit, i wil wait and see what happens with the updates, and if they release an improved model , more memory and a better display would help.
Allan Pape As far as I know they’re going to be releasing a slim down model of this unit with less physical buttons but the same interface software and functionality. I haven’t heard any news about a model with more memory or larger display yet
Thanks for your reply, the way the world is going at the moment we will be lucky if there are many manufacturers left. A lot of buyers are adopting a wait and see what happens next. We are all going to pay a heavy price for the way goverments are spending out tax money.
Hi Tony, I am based in the UK, so until we complete brexit there will be no import duties to pay, the only risk is that due to the current crisis, currency exchange rates are changing daily.
Mine is gonna be here within the next hour. As great as this seems, I hope it's not gonna be a technical ballache to use, or should I say to get the best out of?
Great video! Thank you so much! If you could help me with advice regarding ampero one- I have clipping sounds when playing it and can't understand how to avoid them. tried to lower input level, it helps almost, but the sound dissapears quickly like cut by noisegate, and it also becomes not distortion, but overdrive-not fat, massive and aggresive as with input level at 0. could you help?
I use -14db - that is the same as Choptones use for their patches. Seems extreme, but works well for me. Might need to dial down the noise gate. Maybe check the input switch on the back of the unit by the input Jack?
I saw your other video on this unit and you said the software didn't have the ability to drag and drop patches to switch the order around. Is that still the case or have they addressed that? Very important for set lists. Or can patches be saved onto your hard drive and then uploaded to the unit? That'd be a little workaround Great work on your videos!
Im new to the pedals world and i have been looking for a multieffect pedal, Im not sure if i should buy the ampero or the ampero one do you think that the extra features of the ampro worth the money?
Even with trails on, the delays and reverb still cut off when you change foot switches in the same preset. Bummer. I guess trails only works on the control switch. This could be a deal breaker.
The Input Settings tip was a huge help. I dialed this back until there was no audible hiss in my headphones and as mentioned in his video and the dynamics improved as well. Depending on how hot your pups run, this setting will vary. Experiment with this right out of the gate - you’ll be glad you did
Hello. Could someone point me to the windows system requirements for the editor? Also, does Hotone periodically put out additional amp/pedal models? If so, are they an additional purchase that integrates into the product? I'm looking at this and Amplitube 4 with the STOMP controller. Thanks!
Does work- possibly a little limited with 4 switches- but can be expanded using external switches. No 4 cable option though, so effects would all have to be in front of the amp or in the loop
If the row of 9 devices represent the signal chain from left to right...why is the amp in the middle ..should the amp ..or the loudspeaker (cab) not be the last in chain?
I hooked mine up to my mixer to make sure it will work live for front of house and it sounds really bad. I tried everything. Balanced, unbalanced, line, mic..... It sounds like there is no cab on but there is. What am i doing wrong? It sounds good through my frfr speaker but not through the front of house.

Hello
What power amp and speakers do you use or is it all thru the computer?
Not my thing Tony. I just dropped by to wish you and your family good health. Paul
Thank you Paul. I hope you are also doing well!
Is there any chance you share some of those presets you have built?
I was working on that. I will once I get some time to finish them!
Cool video
How well does this work as a pedal board only, ie amp and cab sims switched off and using just drives and effects through the front end of an amp?
Ian, it can be used as as a simple pedal board however I think it shines when used with the cab sims and custom IR's
Usually not. You want to be able to put the drive and boost pedals before the amp and cab and then have the modulation effects come after it.
Signal chain can be edited how you like - lots of ways to set up
It's possible to unlock the 3 patches limitation per bank of the hotone ampero?
Not that I know
Do you know the the support e-mail and how long they take to respond, my editor is still crashing.
It may take longer these days because of the Corona Virus.

Did you ever find out what was causing the issue? I've been looking at this pedal. Too bad you haven't had a response yet.
Probably need to turn on the Global Eq and pull down the highs.
What is fr fr speaker????
Flat-response/full-frequency speaker. It's basically a PA speaker, which is used with guitar processors like Hotone, because it already has a speaker simulation and you do not need a guitar speaker to play. Headrush FRFR, Harley Benton, Fender Tonemaster - there are a lot of them designed for guitar/bass players.
I am not getting the same screen that u have on my computer.
what is a IR? what does IR mean?
Impulse Respose.
IR or impulse response is essentially a digital representation of a certain speaker or set of speakers within a specific type of speaker cabinet.
Can you use 2 delays or 2 types of reverbs? maybe using fx1 2 or 3?
No - not for reverbs or delays. Just one dedicated block for each. The FX slots can be multiplied up but the options do not include delay or reverb.
I remembered emailing to them about the trail, they told me trail only applies within the same patch, not different patches. Let me know if I'm wrong
Yes I think that is correct.
😴
Test the reverb next to the mx5 head rush .its total junk. And going straight into a mixer is totally unusable. Be honest. U no the reverb is no good .its all no good
Best reverb I've come across in my 35 years of playing and I own the MX5 as well but prefer Ampero.
