Thx a million …searched everywhere for over 2 months to figure out how to connect a multi effects processor that’s not equipped with “send/return “ to an FX Loop.
I can't believe this video has been here this whole time. I was pulling my hair trying to find info on a boss gt-1 into micro dark. This is a subject that needs digging into. It was like secret knowledge. Going into the return side, who would've thunk.😂😂😂 Thanks man! 😊
It is very useful topic for beginners. Great job! I have similiar observations. It took me a while to understand how it works by myself but it was worth 😎
This is AWESOME!!! I’ve been looking everywhere for something other than the 4 cable method. It’s been driving me crazy. I have a simple stomplab 1g and I can’t find anything on hooking it up to the effects loop.
Suggestion: You can share digital adjustments for differents effects like reverbs, echoes, phaser, pitchshifters, etc. Specially for distortion embelishment 😜🤘🤘
I thought your video destroyed my MacBook speakers for a moment because I heard insane clippy popping sounds, and then I was relieved to find it was your background music.
Question buddy.1st love ur channel, your review of the ampero is why I got one. I asked on the ampero facebook page how to hook up the ampero to a amp head and here's what I was told. Come out of my send of my effects loop to the input of the ampero come out of the left output of the ampero into the return of the amp.I have the guitar plugged into the input of the blackstar.thats all he said. My amp head is a blackstar ID core 150 head and the effects loop shares a emulated out. In the blackstar editor you can turn the effects loop off and on
You simply do an awesome job! Keep up the great work! So I could use just the modulation and delay effects and run through the effects loop on my 5150? On the horror front, going to see Joe Bob Briggs next week for a private screening of My Bloody Valentine. Can't wait!
I have had some great success running my Helix Amp models, no cabs into the front of my 2009 JCM2000 DSL100 Clean Channel. I run the clean gain around 3 o'clock. Still very very clean. Then run the master volume high, I run it at 5, doing this gives the modelers plenty of headroom, run your eq on the amp to taste, use the Helix/Modeler volume for your master. From low late night volumes to gig volumes, it crushes. Pretty amazing.
HELP!? I have older gear. Here's what I want to do. Line 6 firehawk fx into Marshall Haze 40, use the marshalls distortion, use all other effects from firehawk, then into a Beringer 32 ban eq rack, then into a bbe sonic maximizer rack, then into my recording device. I'd like to use my amps tone
Taylor, want to have the ultimate control over your sound? I just tried this today and I thought of you because I know you have both too. Run your guitar into Ampero, then out of Ampero into Mooer Ge200 and then out to your effects loop return. You already have your patch going on the Ampero, then turn on the eq on the Ge 200 and adjust to taste and thank me later :)
Taylor Danley oh no, I love the ampero eq, but what I am describing makes the Mooer become a global eq...does that make sense? So you end up having another dimension of control.. I tried it and it really sounded good through my 6505+ 112 combo.
Actually, after I commented I tried just running an eq pedal after the ampero as a global eq and it worked just the same .. but using the Mooer, even the compressor on the Mooer after the Ampero makes it a global compressor that compresses everything together, delays and reverb.. which I haven’t tried yet but should work in theory
I run an Ampero through the Classic Gain (clean) channel of a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 100. It sounds really good running into the effects loop return and just using it as a power amp. Running through the Classic Gain channel you're getting the tone shift (mid scoop), and deep switch, along with the tone controls, so this signal path sounds best. Think Akira Takasaki meets Wolf Hoffmann. Killer tone if I do say so myself.
Taylor Danley If I just wanted to use the distortion and amp sims on a mooer ge 200 could i connect it to the front of the amp? And leave my eq settings on my amp clean and the knobs all on 5 o’clock? Or would it sound better through the fx loop for distortions and cab sims?
@@TaylorDanley Nice to see you reply to replies in a timely manner. In front of the amp or through the fx loop is highly subjective, and is different from amp to amp, and what sounds better in one amp might not sound better in another amp. Regards 🎸
Hey, Can you do a video showing the difference between plug ge 200 usb direct on pc and plug on your interface? Thanks for you videos, its help us a lot!
Back in 2009, I bought Line6 PODxt. I was totally John Snow because... I knew nothing about the signal chain and all of these shit and most importantly I had none to inform me. So, I went into a studio with my newly-trying-to-be-formed rock band, I put the PODxt in front of a Peavey (if I remember correctly) and... DISASTER! Which is the lightest way to describe the result. It's good to explain the basics, there are always new/young guitarists who should know them.
Hi! I still have a PODxt unit at my rig, if you can still recall, how do you make optimal use of this pedal? Apparently, I cannot get a fuller sound especially on my OD patches, it sometimes sounded muddy and I'm so confused on what to do about it.
Hi silly question. I don’t use the ampero hotone but I use the mooer Ge 200. My question is it possible that you could pair that amp modeler into a 4x12 cabinet by just turning off the cab modeler and using speaker cables?
Hi! I have a question: when you run the Ampero in the effect loop like a multi effect the global settings output is on line or on instrument mode? Thanks 😊
Hey Taylor. Awsome review. Really love your vids. I am really thinking of buying the ge 200 because of your reviews cause you are the only one doing them really in depth. What i wanted to ask is, i have a boss katana 50 which does not habe an fx loop. Would it sound really crappy if i just went through the input of my boss katana? Or maybe if i set everything clean on the modellig amp could i use all those amps and cabs of the ge 200? P.s. I also have some other boss multi effect pedal boards and they actually work pretty well. Greeting from Germany dude. Keep it metal🤘
Thanks! I appreciate that. 🙌 Most likely, if you are running in through the input of your katana it's going to sound weird. You're essentially running a preamp through an additional preamp. If you dont have an fx loop, and want to use it through a cabinet, I'd suggest getting a power amp or frfr speaker for the best results. However if you just wanted to use the fx and bypass the amp and cab blocks, that would be ok. Your post effects like delay and reverb may be a little weird.
@@TaylorDanley Been looking for this video bcs I also don't know whats the best situation for this.
