Isn't it basically what Alexis does after the series finale? "Public relations", haha, it's a broad concept that hides a multitude of sins. Though, can you imagine how validated and stark raving envious simultaneously he would have been if he landed this job sometime before or after Wendy?
I love how kind and genuinely interested they are with each other. I would love this become a friendship and to see them working together someday.

Schitt’s Creek and Succession are two of the best shows and Kieran is one of my favorite actors so this was a real treat!
Schitt's Creek isn't even close to the level of Succession.

Something happened in episode 1x05 : Kendall's failed coup. This is when I got hooked, this is when it was it for me, I knew this had the potential to be not fun but huge, truly shakespearian.
I’ve never liked a show as much as Schitt’s Creek.
I’ve never felt as safe as when I’m in its world.
I’ve never known love as free to grow as when I’m watching it.
It’s not been an easy few months for any of us, but knowing that it will always be there for us makes everything ok.
Thanks to Dan, Eugene and all the cast, crew and writers for creating this perfect gem of a show that has shown us how beautiful the world could be. We will forever be indebted to them for the joy they have given us in 22 minute segments
Dan will never truly understand what he has given us or how much his beautiful creation has meant to us.
Not only do I love Actors on Actors interviews because you have two people who are in the same craft discussing their craft...... But I could honestly listen to anything Daniel Levy talk about anything. As an actor or creator level, he's got so much deptg. He's already changed TV. He's going to continue this for a very very long time.

I love that Kieran is honest enough to basically be like "during season 1 I thought the show was cool and I was doing my job but I didn't care about those characters" because tbh I felt that way as well. I thought the show was well written, well acted but I kept thinking "these people are all assholes and I do not care what happens to them". And he's right: it all changed and something clicked during the 2nd season. They're still assholes but I CARE about those assholes now. This show became one of my favorites and I'm excited for season 3. Tell me what you think !

Exactly! I really don’t want to care about these people, they’re the worst but I really care! Honestly ones of the best shows I probably will ever see 👍
I 1000% agree with your point! I just finish binge watching the show after I saw how many Emmy nominations it received and while watching season 1 I was like meh, why should I care about another rich family and like is this Empire but white? I wanted to stop watching but I stayed for the incredible dialogue and performances. But yeah everything changed in season 2, the stakes felt higher, the emotions felt more raw and every episode felt like there was a bomb waiting to explode, you could literally cut the tension with a knife! It's such a brilliant show and I can't wait for season 3!
Honestly I have never related to this sentiment. I cared about most of the characters after the first few episodes

That scene where Roman picks up Kendall at the drug house was so natural and great. It did feel like he was meeting new people. This explains why.
I completely agree with Kieran about the show, initially. It took me 3 attempts to get passed the first episode to fully care about these people.

Listening to Dan describe how the networks gave the thumbs up to nearly unlimited seasons, I understand now why the quality of Schitt’s Creek stayed so high. It was the rare show that got better as it got older.
I always say that Succession is evil Schitt's Creek so this is perfect

This was a wonderful Actors on Actors. Both were excellent. The shows are so different, yet this was so much fun and informative.
Dan Levy might be the best interviewer! He's just a likeable.
so interesting to hear about Dan's experience putting together a show in high school and doing all the things. And here he is as an adult doing all the things. it also reminds me of an interview with Alan Thicke, another Canadian actor, who talked about how Americans were surprised at the breadth of his skill set, but he said that it was from his experience working on low budget Canadian productions where you got to step in and do stuff because there was no one else to do it.
Josh Thomas, Australian actor and writer, also does almost everything on his shows and is really young. He made Please Like Me and Everything’s Gonna Be Okay

Two talented actors-would love to see them in a show together feeding off each other’s energy.
These are, hands down, 2 of my fave actors in the last few years!!! i LOVED this, & it was honest! I immediately loved both shows, but I had to start rooting for the characters in Succession & Roman is always always my favourite. There isnt a character I can pinpoint as my fave on Schitt’s Creek because I truly love them all! My son calls me Moira a lot because of my “dramatics” & linguistics lol! It’s only a compliment to me. And Succession I can’t get enough of, it’s bloody brilliant & I cant get enough of it!!! 🖤👏🖤👏🖤👏🖤

I never finished any variety actors on actors conversations, just lost interest after 10’, except this one! The conversations just captivating, between ‘socially anxious’ Dan Levy, and ‘carefree happy go lucky’ Kieran Culkin, somehow it’s interesting to watch.
Exactly! I watched Saorsie and Kate's and Brad and Adam's and I stopped watching within 10 mins. There was no genuine interest to know about each other unlike this one with Kieran and Dan and I don't even know Dan Levy before the Emmys. I was smiling the whole time my cheeks hurt.

It takes a few episodes, at least, to get going. Once you get into it, though, the writing, acting, and tone is masterful. Some of the most gripping and surprisingly hilarious television I've ever seen.

Agreed, but to Dans credit he has history as an interviewer. He is also a very inquisitive person who loves learning things about people. Kieran may just be someone who like does things off the cuff, and isn’t super prepped as an interviewer

I laughed at your lines every time you spoke.(Leaving the animals to your therapist to look after and the poor fish.) I wanted to see more of you in an ensemble like Schitts Creek but big screen stuff.

This interview is so illuminating, I am absolutely fascinated. There are certain things that someone not familiar with the industry wouldn't think to ask (as a fan at a convention, I sometimes struggle to think about an interesting question that doesn't dive too deep into the minutiae of a show that the actors were finished with several months, if not years ago) and certain things that an actor would answer another actor more honestly. (though I really had to sideeye Culkin for his admission that he casually tells raunchy jokes and gropes his female acting partner WITHOUT clearing it with her beforehand - that slides into harassment territory really fast).
They are both very talented , in similar ways. Their respective shows , couldn't be more different & entertaining. I have always liked K.C. work & man getting to know D.L. work better , great interview from both ... 😉💜💙📷🎥📹💻📹📢🎬

to me almost everyone casted on Succession WAS their character (I feel that way about Dan Levy too) so the acting felt like…them. That being said, the writing for both shows, including Dan’s writing, is INSANE.

Schlitts Creek was TRULY hilarious! I really REALLY laughed from my gut. Succession was obviously wonderful. But, The Creek was all of that, without all the dazzle and glitter.
