Thanks for your channel, I really wanna start reading more. I read thousands of online articles and stuff, but books are so special. Perfect place for recommendations
This was so fun! Thanks for sharing. ♥️ I’ve never read it before but it’s on my list. Tbh that’s wild to hear Mina and Dracula have no romantic tension in the book (this is fine by me lol because I never was a huge fan of that)! I wonder which adaption was the first to do this, seems like all the rest have followed suit. What a huge deviation! Have you ever read Interview with the Vampire btw? 🧛🏽♀️
Ahh!! Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it :) The whole Mina//Dracula thing really is the reason why I refuse to watch pretty much any Dracula movies at all. It ruins the whole thing for me because I find it unnecessary (though people are welcome to disagree). I think the first film in 1922 took some liberties (especially with Renfield) but the one from the 90's (I think with Winona) has this whole thing about Mina having a previous life with Dracula... yeah. I get why people want someone to be with the creepy vampire dude but... not my precious Mina! I haven't read Interview With a Vampire (yet!) but I plan to at some point! My copy is back at my parent's house, so it's kind of been put on the back burner :(

I am with you on the romance between Mina and Dracula! That makes me so mad!!
It sears my soul every single time. I just want her and Jonathon to be in a loving and happy relationship (circumstances subsiding).
I'm still reading it, I have to finish it before my exams. I'll be sure to tell you my thoughts aswell! :D
Yessss!! I can't wait.
