Omg it's so good, Lana! Very different than a lot of other fantasy, and so worth the ride!! Emily Wilde was so sweet 🥰 I hope you read it and tell me what you think!
The Fifth Season was so good! I thought the first book is especially brilliant. I have The Travelling Cat Chronicles as apart of my tbr jar for 2024. I hope I draw it this year!
I reeeally need to read Beartown! I know that I am going to enjoy it. I also can't wait to read the last of the poppy war. That series is so incredible, it was so fun reading it together =) Also! I have the second and third book in the broken earth trilogy haha waiting to find that first one secondhand and then i can't wait to binge it!
I read the first two in the Broken Earth trilogy and absolutely loved them too, cant wait to get my hands on the third :) I also read the Dispossessed last year, as I've been slowly working my way through Ursula K Le Guin's works, the themes always stick with me nearly a year later, so thought provoking! Another favourite was the Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett, so exciting and whimsical and funny, I'm not sure what to read yet because the Discworld series has so many branches... I'll definitely check out the Poppy War, I love the idea of the mythos and unlikable protagonist, as I really enjoyed Circe and Stone Blind and ot would be cool to explore a different pantheon. Cold as Hell sounds awesome too, I loved RDR2 and haven't listened to many audiobooks before. I might listen to the Princess and the Scoundrel as well, apparently it has two voice actors and they portray Han and Leia well :))
OOoohh I need to check out Dispossessed! Sounds like something I would love. I have Colour of Magic staring at me from my bookshelf... is this my sign to pick it up? hahaha Okay 100% YES to the Poppy War. Rin is just... ugh. So frustrating and yet I can't help but root for her. Like she's a feral cat just doing her best to survive but maiming everyone who gets in her way lol. I feel like half the enjoyment of Cold as Hell for me was listening to Roger Clarke's voice!! So since you loved RDR2 I totally recommend going that route. I headcannoned that the MC was Arthur Morgan in a different universe (they're very similar people). I loved Princess and the Scoundrel! I didn't listen to the audiobook though :( I'm sure it's awesome, though!
I see that you like fantasy, so I recommend "The Khazarian Dictionary, that's the name of the book, and if you liked House of Leaves, this one will blow your mind. The author is Milorad Pavic.
I love that your books are very unique and not the most talked about books of the year, but actually some niche recommendations! :)
Thank you ❤️! The highest of compliments.
Yay! Thank you for your favorite books 😍
Emily Wilde is definitely on my tbr now! And oh the fifth season intimidates me so muchhhhh 😅

Yay!!! I hope you draw it as well. It was such a quick read for me, and quite the tear jerker.
I'm looking forward to reading Emily Wild so much! I'm going to try to get my hands on a hard cover copy.
Yessss! I hope you love it! Certainly not a thriller, but very cozy and quirky.
