If you're turning your Vision into a dedicated metal engraving machine, the laser head conversion is worth it. But if you're one that wants to engrave wood some times and metals the other, it's not worth having to install/uninstall one laser head to another. WeCreat would have been MUCH better off creating a 2-in-1 laser head like the Xtool F1.
What did support say about the mis-alignment? I just got it in the mail and first try using it and it is not aligned! I can’t find any help on the WeCreat website…
True. Infrared is more efficient in engraving metals and plastic. It cannot engrave wood or cut much of anything. An infrared(IR) laser can engrave a wide range of metals, including gold, silver, platinum, and copper. To be honest, I’m trying to figure out what an infrared laser can do the diode can’t.
The fragility of swapping out the laser modules seems unnecessarily tedious. They could have easily made a spring loaded clamp bracket for both laser heads and a dual control board. At least they could've made the screws magnetic so you don't keep dropping them.
Hello, I have bought the 2w unit a while ago and still cannot figure out how to etch on copper a little dipper than it etches. I am making a copper jewelry and bought this unit specifically for that purpose but as I said cannot get anything on copper that will withstand the sanding and/or polishing process. I'd appreciate if you could give me some tips if you have any experience in etching on copper. Thank you.

It is an inconvenient switch for sure, but very cool to have options
The rear-facing screws are definitely challenging!
What’s up with the camera alignment?
Fresh is working on alignment right now with WeCreat support.

Having a problem with the alignment also. Can't find anything on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Doesn’t the IR module engrave on a lot of the same stuff that the diode module engraves on?
I think metal is the big difference

Magnetic - yes - that would have been brilliant. We saw that on the large AEON Redline machines at the ISA expo in Orlando.

Hi - sorry - we haven't tried copper yet. I'm not sure what the settings may need to be for that.
This looks like a real PITA😂
It’s a cool feature but switching is cumbersome.
Definitely not worth all that work if you're going to be changing laser heads constantly. They could have come up with a better design.
I agree. The first time was a little struggle but, after that, it was easy.
That looks like a lot of work to change those lasers. Maybe someone can invent something magnetic?🧲
Yeah - it’s a little cumbersome to switch. The more expensive CO2 machines have magnetic attachments which is pretty cool. 😎
