SedgeTool is all about woodworking and having a great time doing it. SedgeTool is Brian “Sedge” Sedgeley who brings 30 years of woodworking experience and tons of energy to the team. Everyone thinks you're supposed to pivot the jig so impressed you showed the right way!
Thanks
Great video. Can't wait to try this new jig.
Thanks Dirk
Hi and thanks for your very instructive videos, they are so instructive.
I´m living in the "Holy land of Tormek", Sweden that is.
What i like is that you never skip the fundamental in every episod, like how to find the right angle and so on.
And that can be crucial when somebody just run into you channel and will try something you show.
So thanks a lot for your videos !!
Keep sharp !!!
Stay Sharp my friend !!
Very good explanation of the difference between both !
Thank you !!
Thats good enough for me, I'm going to get the new one. Thanks for the great video Alf. Melbourne Australia😀😀😀
Thanks Alf
Thanks for sharing, Sedge, looks like I will be upgrading from my 2002 SVM-45; although it has served me well, the new one will do a better job with the boss's chef knives --staying sharp!!!.
Great to hear!
Great informative video guys, I look forward to them!
Awesome, thank you Ron !!
Nice that has been on my list for a while
cool
Thanks, Brian! I didn't realize Tormek released a new knife jig. This explains why my old jig suddenly stopped working. 😂
For those of us who have the SVM-45, is the new jig worth the €50 it will cost to upgrade?
cool ...Thanks Mike
Hi Sedge, The Unit, & Big D! Out of topic but can you teach us how to effectively calibrate the FS-WA rail angle stop? Mine’s not square when I got it, followed the calibration method for the angle guide on the MFT3. It’s square at 0° but whenever I change the angle and bring it back to 0°, it’s not square again. Hopefully you can help us out on this. TIA! Stay wicked and sharp guys!
I will put that on our list to look into..Thanks for the idea...
1 st comment from India..
You rock!
Shout outs to india on festool live Sedge!
I got the 50th anniversary edition.
Why is there so much water on the floor? Am I doing something wrong or is this the down side of the machine? Tried to adjust the amount the water was touching too.
Also is the course diamond a might and day on material removal as some factory edges are not uniform and it is taking much longer than I would like to reprofile.
seems the water down the side is only in the beginning ...I like to put a paper towel there just in case ...I have not tried the course diamond wheel yet
@@sedgetool Thanks for the reply, when I have been using im going back and forth and getting a puddle on the floor after one knife. I'll need to reach out to the dealer or Tormek.
The marker line is still visible, (I don't think it's very hygienic to cut vegetables or meat with that knife) how do you get rid of the rest of marker?
with lacquer thinner then I wash with soap and water
@@sedgetool oh great tip
Thanks😀
@ralphenlinda, try contact cleaner spray. Works perfect!!!
Denatured alcohol.
I hope the Tool is much better than your Cameraman…..
ok
ok
The new clamp is complete garbage. I can give a bunch of valid reasons that it is absolutely useless. This is the case when a marketer was hired as an engineer. Your video itself is also far from an engineering approach.
Good For You ......WAD !!!!!
