    I missed three 100mg doses of sertraline (didn´t have access to them) and started experiencing withdrawal on the third day. I had the classic symptoms one gets when starting with antidepressants or quitting them abruptly (don´t do that!) Anxiety, excessive moodiness, upset stomach, trouble sleeping and so forth. I felt better on the day I had access to them again, but the following three days were pretty rough. However, after that, the symptoms disappeared entirely! So, whoever is out there going through accidental withdrawal - you will most definitely get better! It may not feel that way right now but you absolutely will feel good again. Hang tough!

    I take 150mg a day of Venlafaxine, if I miss a dose. It’s hell on earth. Forgot yesterday, electric jolts non stop, spinning room, nightmares, brain fog. Lasts about 48 hours, work will be fun today, :(

    I missed 1 dose yesterday but wasn’t sure if my mood and anxiety was because of withdrawal or just because I knew I was missing a dose. Woke up this morning after having vivid dreams which I don’t quite enjoy, but I still feel fine overall. I’m going to get a new prescription soon. Keep your head up everybody!

    If I miss a dose of my Wellbutrin I feel it pretty much right at the 24-hour mark. I was the same with Zoloft. I was chemically dependant on it within six days and had to wean myself off it carefully over another week to avoid a massive mental breakdown. So some people are more sensitive than others and maybe dealing symptoms after just 24 hours.

      With Wellbrutin I don’t feel any symptoms when skipping one day but with Quetiapine I get a mental breakdown when missing 1 night.

    Im going through it right now. That second when I connect the “fried neurons” feeling with the missed dose is an emotion of absurdity. Ive been on on Venlafaxine for a decade and I still don’t put it together immediately. My brain feels like im licking an electric fence with a hangover. Im hot and sweaty for no reason and I lost an entire day I needed to get stuff done. Its a risk reward type thing though and unfortunately, forgetting occasionally is still better than my day to day without it.

    I have been using buproprion for about a few months. This past week I missed several doses. I was also binge drinking liquor every day and night hard. One night I drunkenly wanted to cook late in the night. My father was understandably annoyed. I began screaming at him at the top of my lungs and woke the next morning feeling extremely hung over and dehydrated. I decided to take a drive to a town about 45 minutes away to avoid the shame. I will tell you that I took a Marijuana edible as well. The whole drive I was physically lost, with very depressive thoughts. I found it extremely hard to navigate the roads, stop signs, intersections, and couldn't understand why people were driving the way that they were. It was like a nightmare really. I was very scared. Once I got to were I wanted to be I didn't stay and just drove back home to get drunk and numb everything that was going on. Marijuana edibles have NEVER made me feel like that. So I wanted to ask someone if this sounds like it might be related to basically stopping the buproprion abruptly? I'd really appreciate anybodys help.

    I never use to forget my Lexapro until I went down to 10 mg. But today I realized I felt like crap. I couldn’t put my finger on why! Then BOOM! I realized I haven’t taken my Lexapro in a couple days! I just took it right away. NEVER DOUBLE UP THE DOSE. Just take the one dose as usual. :)

    • @KK-eg3em
      @KK-eg3em 2 роки тому

      same. I'm prescribed 20mg of Lexapro a day but I decided to cut that in half and then a few months later cut that in half, down to 5mg a day. My doc is fine with it. I've been an absolute mess for the past 2 weeks, barely able to sleep, horrible concentration, (I'm also on 25mg Adderall) hallucinations (not bad but some weird visuals) This afternoon I just came to the realization that I don't think I've taken my Lexapro for at least a week, maybe longer.

      Should be once the medications back in your system. Once you take your dose you’ll notice hours later that you anxieties gone away or say your brain fog or other symptoms. Now with Paxil, NEVER go cold turkey. My mother was on it for 20 years, tried to get off it cold turkey and got extremely depressed. Please always consult your doctor! :)

    I have panic disorder and missed 2 days because I ran out of medication, but I’m scared I will get withdrawal symptoms and have panic attacks. Does this normally happen?

    • @AlexRobbMentalHealth
      @AlexRobbMentalHealth  4 роки тому +6

      You should be ok after a couple of days to so don't worry too much. Obviously it's not great to miss doses but it happens, particularly when one prescription runs out and you haven't picked up your next one yet. If you were to feel any effect, it would be minimal - maybe a little fatigue - but I wouldn't expect it to hit you hard after a couple of days. Hope that helps?

      @@AlexRobbMentalHealth can it be cured forever after taking antidepressants for couple months?

    • @Important_Commentary
      @Important_Commentary 2 роки тому +1

      @@ummehabibaa5880 Can what be cured forever? Depression? Normally when you have depression or anxiety it is a chemical imbalance. It’s always best to stay on your medications even when you feel better. Like people with diabetes that need their insulin, people with depression, manic disorder or anxiety needs theirs! It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Please always stay on the meds unless you consult a doctor. Also, sometimes people who have taken medication for a few years that feel they are in a better place sometimes will get off the meds, but also have a therapist. If you decide to get off the meds, consult a doctor and get with a therapist for after care! Hope that helps. :)
