Yes! Tip 1 is my biggest regret. I was so afraid of speaking and making mistakes. I felt like if i made a mistake, it would prove im not working hard enough or something. I definitely wasted time on being scared. Just speak the language , no one cares.
and i would argue that it actually helps! i lowkey remember 90% of the mistakes i made when i was a beginner because i was so pissed that i never made those mistakes again lmao
thank you for the tips!! I agree with the overconsumption of korean media 🤭 not consuming media like a normal person has helped me a LOT, I haven’t mastered it yet but I’m getting there
hehe tysm for watching (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)
Thank you! I used to learn Korean casually but I've forgotten so much. Time to get back to it more seriously.
You can do it!
thanks for the tips mehdi! 💙 i’m intermediate level (topik 2 level 4) and it’s so hard to get over that hill of being good enough to understand the language but STILL not good enough to be considered fluent. i hate that i’m in such a standstill right now.
i know what you mean!! i will say attending a language school helped a lot in the sense that once i started learning for a year i just couldn’t stop even if i wanted to 😂 and i think that helped kinda go over that hill you talked about of at least for that hill to feel less… hilly lol but you got this!!
Thank you for ur advice
hahaha take this as your reminder (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)
Thank you, Mehdi! I really enjoyed your video and tips for learning Korean! Your insights have been incredibly valuable, and your calm and friendly approach feels like chatting with a friend. Your vlogs made a positive impact on my life. Thank you for sharing your experiences - keep up the fantastic work!♥Big love from the UK!
faisa tysm 🥹🥹 hope to bring value with future content too whether it is entertainment or things to learn 🤍🤍🤍
I am really impressed by how fast you learned the language. I took TOPIK II after learning for 1 year (my teacher kind of laughed at me when she found out hdjfd) and didn´t pass D: was missing 3 points. And also I didn't write the long essay nor prepared in any way for the writing part oops.
tysm!! honestly idk if topik is a great way to assess someone’s language skills haha but you can definitely do it you got this (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)
Thank you for the video update, Mehdi! I absolutely hate communal, dorm living, so if I had that same experience, I bet it would feel great to learn a language to the point I could get out of that situation.
thank you for watching!! there was no greater motivation for me honestly haha
Thanks Mehdi for sharing yobur tips you gave me the motivation to continue learning Korean. Your content make everything in this life easier your the best 😊
the honor is mine 🥹🥹 you got this!!!
Hahahha ‘thank you .. a**hole’. You are a legend!
I’m not learning Korean but love your videos. Love from the UK 🇬🇧 X
tysm for watching 🥹🥹🥹
DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
🥹🤍🤍🤍🤍
On a less ranty note yes he said a very important tip i myself feel scared to speak korean out of fear of messing up & i have no one to talk to.
I love ur videos and im trying to learn korean so i will make sure to follow ur advice!🤞🏽
thank you for watching ☺️🤍
Thanks for this video !! Really helpful
🥹🤍
“I was committed to the lie” IM DEAD!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would have most definitely lied too in order to avoid someone annoying/rude 🙈🤷🏻♀️
i felt like a spy it was kinda thrilling ngl 🤭
Thank u for this video! Ive been studying korean for a few months now, and i feel like im stuck because im so focus on reading and listening but i haven't improved at all on my speaking 😭 its so frustrating bc i dont really have people to speak with in korean
honestly shadowing and speaking to yourself also kinda helps 🤭🤭
Merci Mehdi ! I'm glad to see that what I've intuitively been doing are actual tips from someone I trust when it comes to language learning. It feels so validating 😭🙏🏽 I think that one thing that you forgot to mention is that since you grew up speaking French and Arabic (i'm assuming) and later on learned to speak English fluently this definitely had an effect on your cognitive abilities from a young age when it comes to learning new languages. The earlier you start being exposed to different languages, the easier it gets to pick up new languages. You kind of hacked life in a way 😉✨
ohhh 100% honestly!! i think your brain is just wired differently at such a young age and that makes everything else so much easier! thank you so much for your kind words, keep me posted on your progress you got this 🤭
LOVE UR APARTMENT DECOREEEE

@@mehditowear AHH NO WAYY

I feel like I know *enough* korean to convey simple points across especially with bare bone conversation but whenever I stray away from my robotic rehearsed phrases that I know and try to improv the other person is mad confused and wants me to speak in English and so now my confidence level is like 0 XD I currently live in Korea but in the countryside where it's mostly older Koreans and their tolerance for Baby Foreigner Korean is a lot lower, but we're still trying!
Thank you for the tips 🖤 I started recently to speak to myself and recording myself in Korean and it helps a loooooottttt 😂 I feel kinda dumb but it works 🤷🏻♀️
no literally it helps so much i’m so happy you’re doing it!!
Fluency requires much more than conversational proficiency. Fluency in Korean requires a certain proficiency in hanja. It’s great if you can reach it that quickly, but I am very skeptical about such claims because most Koreans spend years learning hanja just attending regular school. There are a few Koreans who don’t know a lot of hanja because they did not attend school, but I don’t think they would be described as educated native speakers.
Someone living and Born in a country is a native
@ Perhaps, but not an educated native.
I died at your second story lol 😂😂😂😇
(◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)
Je pense aussi que tu as une certaine facilité et un plaisir à apprendre les langues, forcément ça aide ☺
c’est clair que si mes compétences linguistiques étaient similaires à mon talent pour les maths j’aurais pas été bien loin 😂🤍
lmaooo you got me cracking up. i feel like i would do the same and act like “i can’t see im bliiiind”
which school did u go to? im legit thinking of doing something intense like that atp cuz self study is a no go for my brain
i went to seoul national university ☺️🤍
Really enjoyed this video and will definitely watch again for reference.
I'm honestly curious on why you chose to move to Korea! Great tips !
tysm!! i explain a little bit in my very first video 🤍🤍
@@mehditowear oh i actually already watched that one hahah I might have missed that part then 🤔
Thanks for this video! I'm currently using the Cake app that I found out about through Weverse/BTS 😅
I really like it. I think their lecture layout for hangeul, vocabulary and practicing listening and repeating the words through your phone's mic is neat too😊
ohhh that’s a great feature omg
*to the A-hole, thAAnksss ✌🏼🙃 ahahaha. Thanks for these tips Mehdi! I really like this type of stuff. It’s so dang helpful and kinda boosts my confidence to finish learning. Btw, that thing u said that helped u learn that would highlight words and stuff, it also kinda sounds like this new app I just got called Linq. I’m too cheap to actually buy the full version tbh so I just use the free stuff 🤣 but it’s pretty cool. Def a good tool to help.*
tysm for watching 🤍 i remember the chrome extension being free so there’s that you can use!!
Much needed motivation 🙏🏻 Thank you so much! I’m coming in 2 months and already worried about my new chapter 😟 God help meee
you got this 🤍
LMAOOO not you lying and keeping it up to avoid talking to him 💀I would've done the same icl
skfjdks gotta do what you gotta do (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)
Thank you for the advice many excellent points.
thanks for watching tina 🤍🤍
Are there any Korean vloggers you recommend?
Hello 👋🏾thank you for the tips 👌can you make a video in which you explain how you make money in Korea?
how one can make money in korea or how i personally make money in korea? cause the latter is very simple haha this is my full time job
@@mehditowearyou personally pls
thank you for the share
through content!
Did you watch the Korean content (eg; vlogs with subtitles). Do you think it’d be better to watch these things without subtitles especially when you’ve picked up on some (very little)Korean?
So you got to korea in august. By this point you had never tried to learn the language at home in any way? If thats the case, youre insanely smart to reach that level in 3mo
Desparate Housewives! YES !!
Is there a video where you are actually speaking Korean? I can't find any on youtube or tiktok, besides short clips of simple korean exchange. That's insane that you are saying you were able to sign your own contracts and do due diligence after 3 months of learning Korean
My comment is 3 months late lol but hopefully you'll still see this. I watch a lot of Korean vlogs and love them but I find most of them are non-speaking with just captions on screen. They're nice to watch but they don't help me with listening and practicing my speaking. Do you have any vlogs you enjoy that you could recommend?
I refuse to believe that someone learned 2800-3500 words in hangul along with particles and conjugation in 3 months. That is not normal the average person cannot achieve this.
2nd majority i would say 90 percent of people do not have a teacher & do not have the finances to go to korea to learn it in korea. That said keep learning korean even if your a slow learner.
Hi Mehdi! have you considered speaking in Korean to help non-Korean speakers practice as they watch YOU?! not teaching just a natural bilingual convo. Just a thought.
i would love to do a speaking korean for a day kinda vlog!!
@@mehditowear, I'd give it a thumbs up!
tip 1😅 shame is our worst enemy fr
honestly think of how babies learn languages! they literally go gagaga and no one tells them anything they’re thriving (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)
@@mehditowearno shame in being a baby, got it chief 🫡
I get that it’s click bait, and I’m really not trying to sound mean, but I find it incredibly dishonest and vain to deliberately mislead people into thinking, that a language can be attained to “fluency” within this ridiculously short amount of time. I get that you’re good, but like please …
i knew no korean when i came and three months after i obtained my level 4 certification, could say whatever i want whenever i wanted, idk about you but id say thats pretty fluent lol. not to belittle anyone but look through the comments you’ll see someone who prepared for the test i mention in the video, for a year, who failed to get level 3. again i got level 4 in three months after taking six hours of korean classes every day. nothing in this video is made up lol but if it is hard to relate for you there’s a plethora of videos about people who took their time in learning the language, watch those!
It's her inferiority complex obviously 🙄
