He had surgery on his throat in 2010. That year was really bad and he sounded like Mickey Mouse. He's improved a bit since then but his live vocals are basically spoken now, he simply can't get that snarl anymore.
He probably started to have problems wven back then with his throat since he had to overcome throat cancer. My good friend who is on his deathbed right now fighting throat cancer had it for years without knowing what was wrong. I hope he makes it but it's not looking good for my friend. I'm really glad Dave is recoveringvand getting back to fighting shape. Long live Mustaine! Long live Megadeth!
@@VicSellsPeace Well, he could still delivers in studio album cause you can always do countless retakes in studio. His vocal sounded just fine in every albums but his live vocal is really hard to listen in last many years. I saw them twice in Dystopia tour, he almost lost his voice entirely during In my darkest hour.
Honestly the bass line to this tune is incredible and carries a tremendous part of this song. LoMenzo just played it a few months ago at a music store in AU and I was blown away. I never realised how much his fingers were on fire until I saw that.
Great song from one of their best albums. The whole album has great variety in the songs, a great metal groove and all the songs gel well together as an album. No weak song on United Abominations for me. I'd put it above Countdown but below Rust, Peace and Killing in the pecking order of my opinion of the greatest Megadeth albums.
I never really cared much for this drummer. Chuck Behler has more feel to his playing than this guy. Plus this guy just left Mustaine with Broderick to form their band. I guess they were butthurt since Dave dictates Megadeth but that's his baby and those guys were replaced with real badasses. This new line up is up there with the classic lineup. I think the next album will be better than Dystopia. There were a couple songs on that album I really didn't care for but it's a great album. Kiko and Dirk are perfect in this band. Too bad Mustaine didn't get those guys 10 years ago.
I can’t believe how quickly Dave’s voice declined after this; he sounds incredible here!
And only in 13 years.... he taked 25 years old..
Songs insanely top ten of mine hands down amazingly goodness for my ears at volume 10 and my soul likes
I am not concider to say that i am a megadeth fan but i realized this band is with me my whole life ❤
I'm only just becoming a huge Megadeth fan. Why do you feel this band is with you your whole life?
Glen has the smoothest chops
dave used to smoke around that time and he is definetly high as fuck here
Whatever happen to his vocal after 2008... he still sounded so great in 2007...

@@Goabnb94 Can't get that snarl? Try Dystopia.

There are some songs I've come to dislike. UA and Amerikahstan are pretty boring. A real gem to me is You're Dead
@@VicSellsPeace UA is great... But I agree with Amerikhstan

He's practically dating a girl just like her
best Megadeth lineup ..ever :P
Lol no
Best lineup since Marty and Menza 100%.
The best line up is Marty, Nick, David, and Dave
❤❤

I'd argue Kiko Loureiro and the current line-up is better than ever. Kiko, Dave, James and Dirk are absolutely killing it.@@veronicamartinez5591
