- With these Allen Edmonds we do a full restoration. Once we have the old soles off we procced with taking out the old footbeds also. We saw that there was some mold on the inside of the upper so we did a cleaning pass to get rid of the mold before attaching the new footbed. Once the new footbed was in we cut off the old welt and stitched on new welt. We then put on some JR leather soles and added some triumph toe plates. For the heel we did a JR dovetail combo heel with some decretive brass tacks. We then finished by polishing up the uppers.

Excellent craftsmanship
Out of curiosity, why do you use white thread on the welt stitching and paint it black instead of just using black thread? Sorry if you've already explained the reason before.
This is such soothing and beautiful content. Thank you! ❤️
Mejor que nuevos. Un trabajo bien hecho 👍🏻
Gorgeous as always.
Beautifully done!
Perfect video:)
Keep the good work and best of luck
Have you ever widened the footbed on stitchdown boots? I have a pair of 10.5 EE Viberg Service Boots, but need them to be EEE at minimum. Is this even possible with stitchdown construction?
Whats the machine and process at 16:19 for?
We are waxing the edges to help seal the leather soles to protect from water. The part on the machine is an edge iron. It's just a round metal piece that attaches to our finisher and uses friction to help melt the wax into the leather fibers.
