1. You have been fooled to believe that a German is epitome of success. 2. You have over paid. 3. You will never use the potential of your over engineered car. 4. Your car is not as quick as a Tesla P100D's 0 to 60 time i2.2 sec. 5. Porsche is boring.
1. Are you saying I should become a German to become successful? My German is poor but love German bread so who knows? 2. I did over pay for my car, I also over paid for my shoes, it was enjoyable, I will do it again. 3. The potential I am hoping to achieve is to transport my dog to the park at a moderate speed every day. 4. My car is not as fast as a lot of cars, I can tell you this keeps me up at night but I hope to put some more stickers and stripes on it which will make it go faster. 5. This one is my favorite, I can just see you getting to #5 and running out of ideas so you anger typed 'Porsche is boring' then sat back and thought 'that will show him!' Nice!
I always love the Tesla comparisons. You can tell they've never driven either a Tesla or a 911. If you're going to compare a Tesla to a 911, you need to end your post with "until you need to actually turn."
Park in gear. As a manual driver I always park in gear. You get used to it after driving on a track. If you apply your e-brake after a hot session, you'll warp the rotors.
Chris D lol really? I drive my car pretty hard some days and I when I get home I park in gear AND use the e brake.. now I know better, I don't wanna warp my brakes.
X V my understanding was that it was some semi famous person ( who certainly was careless) that had their car smah into and pin them after they'd neglected to engage to brake before leaving. I unfortunately don't remember all the details though
Yep loved the 'you don't deserve a nice car' bubble. Same happened to me when I was polishing my car, then cleaned off excess polish with a brush only to scratch a panel with the sharp metal holding the bristles to the handle (!). Imagine my face. F... me..
Nick, the thumping on the steering....left and right turn is not just on the 911 - or cold weather, it is a disturbing feeling in the 911, Boxster and even the Panamera. A damp driveway with a tight turning circle see my cars bobbing about. Keep up the good work....glad you came to your senses, enjoy the Porsche!
Just brought home my first ever Porsche 991 in 23 degree (F) weather and that thump confused and concerned me. You saved me a trip back to the service department.
HAHA Nick i just did a massive LOL watching you run after the car. Your right though. I found this confusing at first. I still get confused, i just push/pull it until i head the noise.
Perhaps you just need a new mental model. I use the mental model of the old fashioned parking brake pedal. You push it in with your foot to set it. You pop it back out to release it.
That is where I believe they came up with the concept and the similarities in release position instead of the center console like other cars. All cars I've driven with a foot parking brake, you always pull on a release handle from that same area of the dash. Seems pretty straight forward concept to me.
I have one suggestion to add to help reduce bolster wear when you're getting OUT of the car, which is also a problem. Because the seats are so low and so deep, it's actually pretty easy to put your left hand on the bottom door sill and lift yourself up and forward slightly to reduce dragging yourself across both the bottom and side bolsters. I've used this technique with my prior 911 and another sports car with good results.
Nick, why not leave car in gear when parked? That leaves an extra layer of protection against it rolling away. At the track you can't use the parking brake until the rotors cool so that is what we do if wheel chocks not available.
Nick, there's a very good reason why dash mounted handbrakes are pushed for ON and pulled for OFF (same as in Mercs). I got out out of my Merc and accidentally knocked the handbrake with my foot. If the handbrake worked in the reverse way, it would have turned off and the car would have rolled away just as I was getting out.
The Handbrake System is similar to Mercedes. This comes from the older Mercedes which had a manual handbrake, tightened by pushing a pedal left beside the clutch. To unlock the handbrake you had to pull a handle left beside the steering wheel.
My thoughts exactly. It's not just Mercedes, but most (every?) vehicle with a foot-actuated parking brake releases this way. Foot-actuated parking brakes are very common on American trucks, vans, SUVs, and cars that might be equipped with a full or split bench seat, e.g. :www.ford-taurus.org/taurusinfo/Features/P-brake.jpg Having never driven a vehicle with an electronic parking brake, I'd expect to pull the handle to release it, especially if it was located on the dash below steering column. With the console-mounted switches, pulling up to engage it makes more sense because that's how handbrakes operate.
Actually whilst Mercs with foot operated parking brakes use a pulling motion on the hand release handle, the older Mercs like W115 and W123 (if memory serves me right) are full hand operated. Engagement is by hand pulling a handle and release is twist and push. But its ok... whatever 911 dishes out... i'll take
Also this way on newer Volvos, maybe it's common in european cars? Seems logical way to me - you put brake "on" by pushing it and releasing pulling it "off"?.
I have a 981 Boxster and I can confirm that the e-brake switch is the most stupid thing ever made, it always takes me a couple of pushes and pulls to engage it because it just works the opposite as it should be! But apart from this I love it, it's even practical for the size having 2 boots front and rear with plenty of space for trolleys and bags
Nick, you're doing a great job with these videos. Not many people on UA-cam will post a video of a mistake... such as frantically running after their mistake as it enters the roadway. I appreciate the honesty and humor, as many others do as well.
I'm sorry in not even 1/3 into the video and I've never laughed so hard at one of your videos like I'm doing now repeating the dashcam section in loop . LMAO you are like running for your life and your cute dog fucking rockets away from the door in pure fear of what you ran away from . Brilliant
Nick, have a look at the CTEK line of battery maintaners. They have an optional 'comfort connect' adapter that plugs directly into one of the 12V ports so you don't have to clip directly to the battery. Using one on my 981 to keep the battery alive during the cold Michigan months and it works like a champ.
Yep, CTEK is the OEM for Porsche. Naturally, the Porsche-branded one is quite a bit more -- I got mine from eBay for around $80 shipped that came with several adapters and a storage bag.
Craig Liess I bought the ctek non rebranded model for about $80 on Amazon. I use it all the time for recharging cars and maintains my tractor battery over the winter. It's totally payed for itself.
AFAIK (and per the documentation, and tons of homework) there is no "wiring" that has to be done to accommodate the comfort connect adapter -- it is plug + play.
I have a 718 boxster and the previous owner (at approx 10k miles) managed to have minimal wear. I daily my car -- but gently lift myself into and out of the car. Glad to see I have been doing it correctly as I have minimized additional wear in doing so!
That dashcam video is the most honest thing i've seen on UA-cam in quite a while, and boy did i feel you when you ran after your precious car. I will not be surprised if i wake up sweating from a dream about that at some point. Damn. Besides that: Thank you Porsche for giving me a headache. I facepalmed so hard when you explained the frunk/battery thing. I'm not able to buy such a car, and most likely never will be, but i still enjoyed watching. Thank you for yet another interesting and entertaining video :)
I recently acquired my 2017 911 C2 ...sport exhaust and chrono package is a must, I can't get enough of downshifting pop out exhaust amazing sound in sport mode....never been happier... it's well worth the money spent.....and for all those Porsche haters out there (even though I am big Alfa guy also) feel sorry not reaching your dreams! Thank you Nick for #5 explanation tire steering clinking sound it happened to me few times last week when weather was ~10 degrees in Northeast.
Nick, I know you like the odd tech-gizmos. Have you ever tried enabling UA-cam's auto-generated English captions on your own videos? You're in for a giggle. It's pretty obvious they employ no Aussies or Kiwis in the Google department that creates speach2text. 👍
@@wernerengel6357I have to admit that I had to Google "umbrage". You're offended by my comment? Well, if that's true, feel free to feel that way - it's your choice :D I love the accent. I giggled at Google's inability to understand it, however.
I like your video as I love Porsche. Cayenne diesel owner here, looking to get a 911 soon. Quick tip on the front trunk release on a dead battery, use a the cigarette lighter port to power up the car with any power source basically. Once the car detects enough voltage in the system it will allow you unlock the front trunk. Look forward to more 911 videos!
Pdk is better than manual, in general now most automatics are faster than a manual with the absolutely unrepeatable perfect shifts , as I've been saying for years and Is now in fact wide spread fact, they are in fact now obsolete, manuals are completely obsolete in 2017, that's true and stirring up the pot
Nick, the reason you pull to release the parking brake: that comes from old days when you pushed the parking brake foot pedal and you released by pulling that same leaver, they followed the same system/style; so to engage you push and pull to release. after finding that out myself, i stopped getting confused anymore.
7:42 that happens on my Cayman as well!! It took me a while to figure out what was happening All of these are really relevant to Caymans as noted in the title, so thanks a lot, Nick! Keep it up :)
I put two old seat cushions in my garage aeons ago. Now I just drive up & onto them (front wheels only!). The cushions prevent the front tires from 'flat spotting'. On my 993... I spent an afternoon 'snaking' individual lengths of nylon string to both trunk & hood latches. The spring tension on those latches is actually quite strong so a *lot* of pull force, devoid of leverage, is needed. I now have individual backups to opening my trunk & hood if the cables etc. ever fail. FWIW, that 'spare battery & cables to a micro connector' workaround is for the birds.
Nick, thanks for addressing the "Ackerman" effect on the front tires. I about crapped my pants the first time I heard it on my 2016 Cayman. True, it does happen more with cold weather but I'm in Texas and all it takes is a 40* morning and even with it garaged it still happens. I had another unusual, but common, Porsche problem with the high oil level warning light that will come on apparently for us low mileage commuters. Apparently, the excess moisture and gas slowly filters back around the cylinder rings into the oil when driven often w/o the engine heating up to operating temp (
Love the Talk Talk intro music. Just love it. I've got a 996.2 C4S and I get the front wheel bump thing here in the UK , and only in winter. I can get golf clubs in the back, but my previous car,a Boxster could swallow them in the rear trunk, and the trolley and sports bag in the front trunk. The Boxster is TRULY PRACTICAL. Bollox to the small people though....
my 2 and 4 yr old boy loved climbing into the trunk or frunk, having me close them inside so they could pull the glowing handle. good times! hilarious video when the 4S started rolling backwards and you and dogs came sprinting. glad that ended well for you!
The parking brake on the dash works like that, even in old Mercedes had the E brake activated by pressing a pedal (near or where the dead pedal is) and released by pulling a lever on the dash ( the same {in form and shape, but it was mechanical} as the one in your Porsche)
That thumping noise whilst reversing at full lock also happens on my BMW 430d, might not be the same thing but it does it all the time on a cold day when I'm pulling out the drive
The pups really enjoyed your dash (0-60 in 2secs). That look of do it again, do it again was priceless... by the way the electronic ebrakes are the pits. I have to look at my dashboard to make sure the brake is are on.
Thanks brother, your videos are very informative. Porsche is not just a means of transportation, it’s an extension of ones personality. If people knew about the history of the 911, they won’t talk negative. By the way keep going, all the very best from Oman.
Brilliant upload Nick, yes worse still is my Wife's Macan handbrake works reverse to 911 & Boxster (in other words pull up for park and push down for release)! Drives me mad when going from car to car! There's loads of these quirks. For example: if for what ever reason (while in drive) you open the drivers door (even with foot on the brake) the handbrake is automatically applied which is highly annoying especially if you don't have seatbelt on, for example reverse manoeuvring in the garage! Finally, UK cars don't have an inside front trunk release ...... which is odd! Look forward to the video ref. Apple car play and PCM annoyances! Then bespoke settings for instrument binnacle display, where nobody in U.K. seams to bother to do this - am I the only one?
Very useful video! I was in a test drive at the local dealer and with a tight turn it "thumped" like that and the salesman didn't even know what it was.
Nick maybe consider getting a mini jump pack, they are very compact and can provide the power in the fuse panel as well as jump start the car once the front is open.
You wouldn't have to worry as much about the side bolster wear problem if you got into the car differently. I step in with my right foot first and then lower myself onto the seat, rather than sitting into the seat/on the bolster first and then spinning into the car. It may seem awkward at first, but it's so much easier and causes far less bolster wear. My '13 C4S bolsters still look perfect (with a more fragile "natural" leather option, too).
Good stuff Nick. As the owner of a 16 Porsche Cayman manual I can attest that the Cayman also has the "thump" when backing up at full lock. I live in California so its not as apparent when backing up with a freezing cold, firm tire upon startup.
You actually brought up great points. Here are my thoughts about your points since I drive a daily Boxster and Cayman: 1. The opposite direction of the electric e-brake took some time to get used to, but it's become second nature now. To avoid my car sliding backwards, I just developed the good habit of putting my gear into park and then putting my e-brake on before getting out all the time. 2. Even before getting these cars, I actually asked myself what I'd do if the battery went dead since some of my older cars have dead batteries. I looked it up and realized it would be unfortunate to have that happen in a Porsche and not have access to the battery. So I bought a portable battery and jumper cable kit on Amazon.com. I currently have the pack behind the driver's seat in case I need it. 3. There are no rear seats in the Boxster or Cayman... 4. I subconsciously worry about wearing the side bolsters of my seats, so I tend to get in carefully like you do. I'm glad I'm not the only one that worried about this. 5. This noise scared me the first time I drove these cars. For the record, it doesn't have to be East Coast cold, it could be California cold and this will still happen. I enjoy your vlogs so keep it up!
If you think of the "E-brake" like your regular foot brake then it make perfect sense. You push down on your regular brake, so you also push down on the E-brake button to make it lock.
so it's the cold tires that were making the thumping noise. good thing I saw this video, I was planning on taking my 991.1 in for that noise. Thx Nick.
In the drivers side front wheel well there actually is a manual hood release but you have to remove the wheel to access it. Not very handy but it does exist.
OMG! So glad that the dash cam was on for that! I freaked out twice. First for the car. Then because the dogs were coming to help. Just glad it turned out ok. Nice catch by the way.
Nick, you said to connect the negative terminal to the connector inside the car (in the fuse box) to power it up in order to open the front gate bonnet. Should be connect the positive terminal. Also the lever inside the front bonnet is meant to open the rear engine book.
Weego Jump Starter - 149.00 (Amazon) This small, battery jump starter works fine - restarted my friends truck with it when he called for a jump. Its small enough to keep in the glove box or door pocket, and the jumper leads are small enough to work well with the terminal in your fuse box, but big enough to jump your battery as well. I also own a Chevy SUV, and have used it to jump my own vehicle, and the charger keeps a charge for months.
Hey Nick, don't be too hard on yourself. I keep doing the same my self, even after owning almost only manual transmission cars. Only last week had to run twice back to the car as I forgot to put in "gear". Do not use the parking brake, it tends to rust and get stuck. My current car is 6 yrs old and managed to avoid the scratched bolster by putting the left palm over it and sliding in afterwards. This and constant care, with brushes and products to clean and moisture the leather. Also, same problem with the dead battery. Mine is in the trunk and the trunk opens electrically :D But, it is really huge (the battery) and did not have any problems until now, despite doing less than 4.000mls per year in the car.
Great video! I get those thump w my Summer tires (in winter) on my Macan! I changed over WAY early this year (last week) and it happens EVERY TIME I reverse now... Also happened last year when I changed over before winter was done
There is an emergency manual release cable for the front trunk (or boot as we rightly call it in the UK!) of the 991 - it's underneath the left headlamp and can only be found by pulling out the left inner wheel liner when the trunk is locked. This is mostly for the dealer, but modern Porsche owners don't work on their own cars, right?!I :-) It is possible re-route the cable around the headlamp base and put an extension on it so that it can be found right behind the left marker light - that comes out easily if you need to get to the cable. I'd go with hooking up 12 volts to the fuse block connector and open the trunk from the remote - it's a lot easier than taking a light out to find the release cable!
Cool post Nick, more of these as I think its great showing up the BIG manufacturing faults in what we are led to believe as nearly perfect automobiles. Great viewing.
i experienced the dead battery issue when i got my car delivered, the worst thing about it was that it died while on a trailer to my house and I couldn't open the door enough to get to the fuse box since the trailer wheels were in the way. We had to lift the car and luckily the suspension had enough give to let the door open over the trailers wheels. What a nightmare!
The battery problem is the same in the cayman. That took me so many hours and a tow truck to actually get resolved. I didn't have a spare battery, but the tow truck operator had one of those portable battery jump starter kits. So annoying, especially because the original battery is so small and this happens often if it isn't driven regularly.
I have a 997 and I struggled for some years with the battery that would last only 5-6 days if I didnt drive it enough. I live in an apartment so its difficult (& embarrassing) to get a 30m long cable all the way from the top floor into the garage to connect a "battery maintainer." The local Porsche dealer in Malaga where I live finally removed a fuse connection out which prevented the car from communicating with an external radar detector.... since then the car drives fine even without driving for over 2 weeks!
Just FYI, the parking brake design is the same as old American pickup trucks. There was a pedal to push down to set it, but you pull the little lever at the bottom left to release it.
huh, cool! I'm a valet driver and noticed that cold weather bump for the first time on saturday night in a 911. I just assumed the car had an issue or something and completely forgot about it until I watched this video. Good to know for future times too!

1. You don't have a car and I heard you love riding your bicycle without the seat on!!
Lols. Written by a tech geek and not a motoring geek.
I always love the Tesla comparisons. You can tell they've never driven either a Tesla or a 911.
If you're going to compare a Tesla to a 911, you need to end your post with "until you need to actually turn."
I lost it when nick was running to stop the car Lol
Kamal el debieky me too, thank god for dash cams
the dogs running after him too ROFL
Man's best friends know no boundaries!
the dogs chasing him lol
Kamal el debieky that was insane

My Saab won't even let me get the key out if it's not in reverse. I never use the e-brake, lol.
try a few laps around a track to get your rotors lit up, and if you apply the e-brake immediately after you will be guaranteed some brake job!
same applies to pressing the brake with your feet at a stop while they are hot.
OMG! Yes, always park in gear :)
That dash cam video really stressed me out...
car rolling backwards is going to give me nightmares
It gives me nightmares.
Nick Murray I've experienced it. I was in the back of the car and the driver jumped out and forgot to set it.
Isn't that the kind of thing that's actually killed a few people? I thought I'd heard about it on the news where there was a lawsuit over it.
X V my understanding was that it was some semi famous person ( who certainly was careless) that had their car smah into and pin them after they'd neglected to engage to brake before leaving. I unfortunately don't remember all the details though
Banner1986 that was about a Jeep which was releasing the parking break in some unlucky circumstances i think
I like the parking break direction. Pull to release is like an old style release where you pull to disengage the pedal parking break.
I am amazed every time, how you make the videos so personal and entertaining with that gorilla, you are amazing person Nick!
Thank you for the kind comment Merab
Yep loved the 'you don't deserve a nice car' bubble. Same happened to me when I was polishing my car, then cleaned off excess polish with a brush only to scratch a panel with the sharp metal holding the bristles to the handle (!). Imagine my face. F... me..
Great review! Funny and informative.
Good to know... now the only thing I need is a Porsche
RRubecula 😆
yup!
BOIIIIII.... YOU COULDN'T HAVE LOPPED OFF 4 FREAKING SECONDS TO MAKE THE VIDEO 9:11 MINUTES LONG??????
Grant Rodgers good point. What an amateur
He's not ocd like you.
I definitely got the chills when the car started rolling back....

You are absolutely correct, I have it every morning in my B981S, when its warm (as I don't drive wtintertime)
That cold-weather front wheel thump really alarmed me the first time it happened in my Boxster. Good to know it's expected...
Just brought home my first ever Porsche 991 in 23 degree (F) weather and that thump confused and concerned me. You saved me a trip back to the service department.
I love how Tui and the other dog come running to your side when you let go and run to your 911.

I seriously ROFL'd at the dashcam video! You should upload it to failarmy!
Your intro song makes me feel like im watching a 90's movie lol
I aim to make my videos sound like an 80's porn movie so close.
Try having your sister not shave her pits, you will be on point.
I've grown quite fond of Nicks new intros.I love the track "Life's What You Make It" by Talk Talk which originally debuted in 1986! Great stuff Nick!
Best way to start a morning is a new Porsche video
4/10 at best nick
In dim lighting and after 3 glasses of wine I am an easy 5.
I'd take you out back, but only if you paid for the crack.
9/11 easily
Nick, why not leave car in gear when parked? That leaves an extra layer of protection against it rolling away. At the track you can't use the parking brake until the rotors cool so that is what we do if wheel chocks not available.

Merc e brake is the same as Porsche
Both from Stuttgart, just saying. This is normal sequence for me having spent a lot of time in mercs.

HAHAHAHAHA you running after your car is the funniest but at the same time scariest thing I have ever seen. I always park in gear. :)
I love how excited the dogs are as you chase after your car.
Almost 100k!
I thought I was the only one with that last Problem you mentioned. Happens with the Boxster too. Thanks for that info.
SHIT!!!! When that started rolling backwards my heart started racing.... Congrats on your 100k subs, well deserved! Have a great week :-)
Nick running to save his beloved car - funniest thing I've seen on youtube all week.
as i'm a kind and generous Canadian, i would give you a 6.5/10 . cheers & happy monday 2 U .
Clearly you have been drinking : )
I recently acquired my 2017 911 C2 ...sport exhaust and chrono package is a must, I can't get enough of downshifting pop out exhaust amazing sound in sport mode....never been happier... it's well worth the money spent.....and for all those Porsche haters out there (even though I am big Alfa guy also) feel sorry not reaching your dreams!
Thank you Nick for #5 explanation tire steering clinking sound it happened to me few times last week when weather was ~10 degrees in Northeast.
One thing I noticed about 911 is that Jet fuel can't melt steel beams...
Nick, I've watched several of your videos. I love your self-deprecating humor, communication style and knowledge of the Porsche product. Well done!
Nick, I know you like the odd tech-gizmos. Have you ever tried enabling UA-cam's auto-generated English captions on your own videos? You're in for a giggle. It's pretty obvious they employ no Aussies or Kiwis in the Google department that creates speach2text. 👍
As a fellow Aussie I take umbrage at your comment regarding Nick’s accent. I can understand him. 😁
@@wernerengel6357I have to admit that I had to Google "umbrage".
You're offended by my comment? Well, if that's true, feel free to feel that way - it's your choice :D
I love the accent.
Nick, where do you get these awesome shirts??!
Harrison Chiao He designs them, lol
Thank you for really useful information. I love all of your videos, you tell the real deal, good or bad, we appreciate it.
I find the 991 too big, sweetspot is the 997.2 4S 3.8 PDK
Congrats Nick, on hitting 100,000 subs. You've been producing excellent videos that are very entertaining. You deserve it!
PDK > manual
There Nick I just stirred up the pot.
Simon Chadwick with the manual gear shift lever?
@@gavinwells35 we
Nick, the reason you pull to release the parking brake: that comes from old days when you pushed the parking brake foot pedal and you released by pulling that same leaver, they followed the same system/style; so to engage you push and pull to release.
after finding that out myself, i stopped getting confused anymore.
it's time to back to bmw :)
Crazy talk
Come on Nick. You know you're a bimmer driver at heart. One of us...one of us...
BMW M2 got a higher rating by Consumer reports than did the Porsche.
7:42 that happens on my Cayman as well!! It took me a while to figure out what was happening
All of these are really relevant to Caymans as noted in the title, so thanks a lot, Nick! Keep it up :)
That was funny, I like how your dogs ran with You 😂
Why you haven't got more subscribers I don't know. What a legend you are. Always look forward to your videos
Love the Talk Talk in your opening! Life's what you make it!
The interior options you chose, especially colors are very attractive to me.
my 2 and 4 yr old boy loved climbing into the trunk or frunk, having me close them inside so they could pull the glowing handle. good times!
hilarious video when the 4S started rolling backwards and you and dogs came sprinting. glad that ended well for you!
That dashcam footage was hilarious! Especially the dogs running after you it's like a cartoon, should make that into a UA-cam Short
The parking brake on the dash works like that, even in old Mercedes had the E brake activated by pressing a pedal (near or where the dead pedal is) and released by pulling a lever on the dash ( the same {in form and shape, but it was mechanical} as the one in your Porsche)
That thumping noise whilst reversing at full lock also happens on my BMW 430d, might not be the same thing but it does it all the time on a cold day when I'm pulling out the drive
the front hood really makes me laughed. Lol, good to know about this since I don't drive my 911 too often.
I've only watched this video for 1:15 mins and decided to like it. Best footage ever.
The bubble quotes from William are superb - this is a really useful vid!
The front wheels also thump on my 987 Cayman w/ summer tyres. Thanks for explaining why that happens.
Tui such a good dog, love when he ran after the car with you when it started rolling out of garage.
The tire thing totally answered something I noticed on mine
Here are my thoughts about your points since I drive a daily Boxster and Cayman:
Love the tip about protecting your side bolsters.
Great info, and you have some speed! That was hilarious. I drive a 997 but still love learning about the 991!
No I said the negative get grounded to the car somewhere.
Thanks for the info on the cold weather tire bump. First time mind did that it scared the crap out of me. After that it was just annoying!
My current car is 6 yrs old and managed to avoid the scratched bolster
by putting the left palm over it and sliding in afterwards.
This is mostly for the dealer, but modern Porsche owners don't work on their own cars, right?!I :-)
It is possible re-route the cable around the headlamp base and put an extension on it so that it can be found right behind the left marker light - that comes out easily if you need to get to the cable. I'd go with hooking up 12 volts to the fuse block connector and open the trunk from the remote - it's a lot easier than taking a light out to find the release cable!
Cool post Nick, more of these as I think its great showing up the BIG manufacturing faults in what we
are led to believe as nearly perfect automobiles.
Watching you run after your 911 is priceless.
Like the new ending driving away from the shot, it's a keeper!
My stomach dropped at 1:07
Happy you were able to get to it in time.
The magical 100k subscribers reached! Congratulations Nick and Tui and Becky and William and all involved!
Thank you
I have a 997 and I struggled for some years with the battery that would last only 5-6 days if I didnt drive it enough.
